El Jalapenos Mexican Grill

Went for a birthday and staff was excellent. Very friendly. Gave birthday man a hat and sang a song for him! And even offered him a shot of choice or dessert. I'd say this is a 3.5 restaurant as food was above average. Price was great for what you get. If in area, would stop in again. Eileen's cookies is next door for a yummy dessert although, you'll probably fill up on their large portions here!What we had - kids taco and burrito got a better than average rating; fajitas were really good - ordered extra veggies and they delivered while also giving us a fair amount of meat; chimichanga got good rating; a burrito that was giant was eaten all up and said it was really good.I would NOT recommend the margaritas. The low quality mixer is so disappointing when it doesn't take much to make your own margarita mix and without artifical dyes which I swear is what makes the store bought stuff taste OFF. Also, even though got top shelf margarita, they didn't put enough tequila in it to make it correct ratio. It was ALL mix and no alcohol. Stick with a beer or just abstain for alcohol.

Probably the best authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Their margaritas also are not messing around and their chicken nachos were amazing. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The decor is nothing to write home about but it's all well-kept and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Keeping this to a 3 star rating. Tried the #11, the enchiladas were great and the staff was fast and on it. Food was much better However the hard shell tacos were still a disappointment. I don't reccomend that. Chicken in the enchilada was just average, a little tough, nothing to write home about.Chips were subpar and salsa was a little watered down. Still good though

The food is literally the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. Ever. The service is really well and decently fast. This place is so amazing and I would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful service, the food was delicious! we will definitely be back next year when we are here for the fair!

My uncle was in town and wanted Mexican food so tried this place out. Homemade chips and salsa to start out which primes the tastebuds for any Mexican dish. Entrees were generous while maintaining quality and taste. Dishes were very affordable. I'll keep coming back here!

Food was below average. My frame of reference is Central City, Aurora, Superior . . . and this is by far the least good of those four.The bright spot: a $2.50 draft Modelo Especial. Service was fine. The atmosphere was fine. The food was ok.Tonight I went to 4th Street. There is much, much, much better food down there.

I love eating here. The food is real Mexican and always tastes delicious. I recommend coming here! The atmosphere is amazing and the service is very attentive!

I can only review what we ate, other things might be good, but I will never know because we wont be back, mostly because we are from Texas. The ground meat in the tacos/enchilada/tostada was not good, way to many onions and reminded us more of a sloppy joe texture than a taco, also the hard shell taco and tostada got soggy way to fast. The chips, salsa, rice and beans were ok.

Great food, quick service, large portions. The best Mexican food in town. If you're looking for a place to go they are always a good choice.
