El Centenario

Fun Birthday Spot! We came here for my husband's birthday with the family. The restaurant allowed us to bring our birthday cake in with no issues. They had enough space and tables to fit us all with no issues. I got my usual, tacos de carne asada (steak tacos). They brought my limes and cheese as requested. Food was great. They also give you chips and salsa when you sit, as most Mexican restaurants do. They have really good queso dip! When it came time to sing "Happy Birthday" they came out with the sombrero, instruments, and a free shot of tequila.

I love the spinach enchiladas! I order them with chicken for added protein. Our family eats here every time we visit David City.

This literally is the best Mexican place around. Forget Schyuler or Seward. Super nice wait staff and clean place. The food is ALWAYS good. It's not another "Sysco" Mexican place. The queso blanco is homemade just the salsa. I usually get the fajitas and the meat isn't old cow meat it's tender and well cooked. If you're looking for Mexican this is the place to go.

Typical Mexican restaurant. Free chips and salsa. Fast service. Went during the week at lunch. Very quick to get our food. I got the fajita taco salad that was delicious. Cheese dip is good. Will definitely go back!

We made a reservation for a table of 16 on a Thursday night...then when three friends who live in the area just happened to show up, the establishment was happy to pull up another table. The ambience was traditional Mexican with decorations in bright colors. The customer service was excellent, they took care of everyone in a timely manner and were happy to ring us up separately. We started off with a pitcher of peach margarita on the rocks, delicious! The Mexican beer which they had a long list of, were all on special for $2.79. The free chips and salsa were exceptional, just the right amount of spicy with a touch of cilantro flavor I like, and my husband was able to get his preferred spicier salsa, which had a chipotle undertone, for free as well. Everyone liked their food! My husband and I split the Junior Especial Fajitas for 2 for $23.99. It had his fave chorizo in it as well as my fave, shrimp in addition to the standard steak, chicken, onion and peppers. Way too much food, we should have split the fajitas for one!!! My family have been frequent customers at the Mexican place in Seward, many of us felt like El Centenario was better!

The food was alright, but didn't have much flavor. I was excited to visit a small town Mexican place but was kinda disappointed. The pop was flat, the tables were way too scrunched together, and not to mention our table was not level.

This is a great place to eat. Always friendly service and wonderful food! The guacamole is outstanding. We love going with a large group because they always accommodate.

Quality Mexican dining experience, with great food, good service, ample menu selection.

Family own it seems. You can see and hear you food being made right away in the back. All fresh! Super nice staff
