El Bee's

Ambiance, great. Small down feel, nice servers and staff. Watched the bartender make the margaritas and it was pure booze. The flour chips and salsa were bad. The cheese dip tasted like thick burnt cheese. I am guessing everything is smothered here. I ordered a grande quesadilla and you couldn't tell that's what it was. Same for the burrito. Everything is just a soggy mess. The shredded beef inside the "quesadilla" was good but I would never come back here. I think people go here just because they have been going for years and years, not for the food.

Always enjoy ElBees. Hubby gets Chili Rellano. I bop around. Got a taco this time. Plenty of food!

If you want a strongggggg margarita, El Bee's is the place to go. Most of the food is some combination of meat, tortilla, and a crap ton of cheese and sauce on top, but they still get five stars for the margs. Also, I know it's a Mexican restaurant, but they do have the BEST chicken strips, waffles fries, and ranch.

My family met for dinner at El Bees. We were seated right away. Our server was very attentive. As soon as everyone arrived we ordered our dinners. Our wait time for the food was really good. My wife and i ordered beef tacos. The taco shells were fried flour tortillas. They were a little greasy. The issue we had was the meat tasted unseasoned. Plain hamburger with diced tomatoes lettuce and shredded cheese. We poured on as much tabletop hot sauce to give it any flavor. My one son had a similar issue with a beef taco salad. He needed the ranch dressing to add flavor. My other son ordered the chimichangas. He was happy with the size had flavor. When we received the bill the amount changed was higher than the menu. The tacos in the menu were 5.75 the charge was 6.20. The restaurant was busy and clean. Overall, the food was not great . If we come back we will order a dish with sauces. We wouldn't order the tacos or taco salads again. It was $60 for four people excluding drinks.

My family was very excited to try El Bees for the first time but sadly, this will be our last. We walked in and immediately noticed the rude host (who I later found out was the owner). He was rude toward multiple parties and seemed annoyed they were busy. The margaritas are not made with a margarita mix, which we were informed after they were already brought out to us. The $10 chips and salsa were basically diced tomatoes. This was all too much for us so we decided to grab our check after the 15 minutes we were there and went to another Mexican restaurant. The rude owner was the reason that we won't give it another try though.

Trash. I went after work because of reviews and tbh this is white ppl Mexican food. Waterloo folks need to go to south Omaha for real Mexican food. If you are desperate and really really hungry I guess you can go here. Idk how this place gets good reviews, I was totally disappointed.After taking a couple bites, I then made myself 2 scrambled eggs. Well there goes 89 dollars I'll never see again. El bees you suck and your cook should be ashamed

El Bree's is a long time family favorite that's been around since I can remember. They have your typical Mexican favorites like enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, and a few American options like hamburgers and wings as well.This review is based on our last two take out experiences for food quality only so I can't speak for the wait staff at this time. I decided to wait to write the review after our first take out attempt because I wanted to give them a chance thinking it was maybe because it was a busy night, but sadly the second time the food was about the same: just ok. My wife and I both tried the chicken enchiladas and a beef and chicken taco with the chips and queso dip. Unfortunately, their chicken both times we went recently was dry and lacking flavor. It needed lots of salsa and sour cream to enjoy. The tacos are pretty good overall. I'd recommend their flour tortillas which are my favorite. Thick and crispy shell filled to the top with beef (or chicken) and all the typical toppings you'd expect. The beef is good, not greasy, but also not overly flavorful. Definitely better than the chicken in my opinion. Lastly, the queso dip is not something I'd order again. It is very pasty, and way too thick for my liking. Even after warming it up once home, it still was too thick and bland.Their flour tortilla chips are their best product by far. I give it 3 stars for the beef, flour tortillas/chips, and overall service. (Sorry for no pictures from home!)

This nasty mess is supposed to be a burrito save your money go pick up a roadkill poor catch up on Cayenne on it and some cheap cheese and you got what lb sells

Service and atmosphere, and margaritas were awesome!..however we haven't been in awhile, and it totally was a disappointment! The tacos were so greasy, couldn't eat them ( they didn't offer me anything else, or apologize when I left them either) .. meat was so blah, it wasn't Mexican at all .. plain ground beef .... Taco Bell has more spice ! ?won't be back, and if you go.. stick to the margs, and chips ( they were good !)

This is my family's favorite restaurant. Even my young grandchildren love going there. The food and the service are awesome.
