Happy to see a new quick, authentic Mexican restaurant out in Elkhorn! El Alambre lived up to the hype on all aspects of the experience. We grabbed some take out on a Sunday night. Food preparation took about 10 minutes to for everything. Staff recommended the marinated pork (Adobada) in the burrito and it was definitely the best option. Super flavorful, tender and quite filling. My wife tried their Gordita de asada (steak) and taco de carnita (pork). She preferred the Gordita over the taco but both looked really good. I'd recommend a few tacos because they are like street tacos if that's what you get for a meal.We finished the meal with chips and guacamole. The guac was a little on the runnier side but still very tasty. Their salsa was actually the biggest hit for us both - highly recommend! We will be back to try more of the menu again soon!

This was my first visit to El Alhambre Mexican restaurant. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall parking area. When you walk in, you will place your order at the front counter. Tables (high and low) are available if you choose to stay and eat there. The food preparation was pretty quick while we waited. The Carne Asada and the Carne Asada burrito were chosen as the entrees. The steak came pre-cut which was nice with the choice of corn or flour tortilla. The burrito arrived with 2 types of sauces, both had a nice bite to them. The steak was decent as well as the burrito. Overall, it's a decent place to get Mexican food but would not go as far to agree with previous Yelpers claims. I would definitely make a return visit in the near future.

Service was great and space was clean! Had carne asada tacos (a little dry), horchata (not as flavorful as most yet more sweet), and an alambre (10/10). Great authentic Mexican food for west Omaha came in later in the day would try again maybe a bit earlier in the day :)

We tried El Alambre for dinner tonight. It's a bit like a Javi's with a little different menu. I loved their signature dish, the Alambre! Yum! My husband had the chicken chilaquiles. It had a green sauce. It came with rice and beans. The chilaquiles were very good. I liked the green sauce a lot! The chicken was of high quality and tasty. I wished it had an egg on top. Maybe I will ask for that next time and see if they can accommodate. The beans tasted from the can and rice was average. The price is fair, but do be aware that the portion size is smaller than a Javi's or an Abelardos. However, I believe the flavor was overall well above that of their competitors. I will definitely make a repeat visit.

The pork tacos we ordered had spoiled pork in it. They did give us a refund, however, you would expect that to be checked prior to serving it. The chicken burrito was pretty good, but nothing above average.
