Went for the Mother's Day buffet. Not very pleased. Asked for a table closer to the buffet, think we literally got the table farthest. Both my mother in law and myself have mobility issues. None of the cold food was on ice. Had to stand in line for buffet for almost half an hour twice. Got here at 11am, almost 12:30 and the line for the buffet reaches out the door. They only have one side of the table to serve and all the food was almost room temp. They were serving prime rib and would give you a 2"x3" piece. For the price I had to pay and the lack of quality of food, I was not impressed. They did fairly well filling the trays, but left the mess around it. Plus my husband had to ask for all drink refills.

Service was good, and that is the only reason they even got a star. They need to teach their cooks "less is more" when it comes to seasoning. The Kate-fish aka catfish was way over cooked and over seasoned and yet still had no flavor other then salt. The Ambiance, what can I say, but stop trying to be a big city restaurant in small hick town! Rock port, Mo. Never heard of it? Blink and you miss it.

What a great little find, we were trying to find a place to eat before we got to our hotel late and we saw the sign for this place along the road. Couldn't find it on Yelp but there were quite a few cars so we decided to try it. They were busy but our waitress was great through it all. We ordered drinks and I tried a Malibu Moose and it was great. One of the others in our party and I split the prime rib lasagne (wanted to try something different) ant the other couple had a ribeye with deconstructed baked potatoes garlic mushrooms and they had a spring salad. All of the food was great and the waitress was wonderful and checked on us frequently. All and all a good night

We've been waiting patiently for them to reopen after all the Covid BS and we finally got there this last weekend. My wife had the open face pork tenderloin, and I had the chicken fried steak. This is quite possibly the best food we have ever had from a steakhouse! The food is fantastic & the staff is so nice. The prices are decent and the restaurant itself was clean and very interesting. It is a few miles for us to go, but we will be eating here more often!

It was closed for a while but reopened on 2023. We stopped during a day trip to Omaha for soccer. Very impressed overall with the food, the service and the restaurant itself. It is nicely appointed and very clean. If you're traveling down, I 29 give it a try is this is the type of small business that needs to thrive.

So far so good! He ordered gizzards. I had one and they are definatly his thing today. God. But I had the soup, a beef mushroom and corn soup. Wow it was fabulous!!! I could have just had that in a big bowl!! He has a burger coming and me chicken fried chicken. Ok the verdict is in! Fabulous food and service. We had a new gal as our server and she kept coming with the drinks. My chicken fried chicken half order was perfect for me. One breast over the red smashed potatoes and the gravy over it. The spices apples was a good finish!! The boys burger was on a chibatta bun and was super good as well. Coming here again

Went there on a Friday evening, early. Not many when we first showed up, but the place filled up while we were there. The first thing I noticed was the décor. Lots of artwork and wild animals. Very nice. Chairs were wooden with no padding so a bit uncomfortable. I also noticed that as more people were seated, the noise level got much higher. The place really echoes. All the staff was friendly and punctual. We both ordered 16oz Prime Rib dinner Medium Rare. The Prime Rib was a bit overdone - more towards the Medium side. Mostly pink. Seemed a little short of 16oz. as well. Salad was small and fries were very salty. Wife had the Zucchini and said it was good. The Tomato Basil soup was perfect. Then came the bill. Very difficult to understand. The amounts on the bill were odd and didn't match the menu prices. When I asked why the prices were different, the waitress could not explain why the prices were different and said she would get her Manager to explain the prices. After much confusing discussion with the Manager, I finally figured out the prices on the menu were for cash and the additional charge was for using a Credit Card. I was a little mystified by this as I did not tell the waitress how I was going to pay my bill and she never asked. She said she just assumed I was using a credit card to pay the bill. So if I had put cash in the folio and left I would have been overcharged without knowing. I understand that many businesses are doing this nowadays, but most make sure the customer is aware of the extra charge before paying with a credit card. That did not happen in this case. No signage, no mention by the waitress. The only instance is a little footnote in the menu that says a 3.85% surcharge will be added to the bill for Credit Card transactions. This, when I did the math, actually came to 4%. I know that may seem a little petty, but it just adds more suspicion to the apparent deception on their pricing practices. In the end, two 16oz Prime Rib dinners with sides included, two drinks, surcharges and 15% tip came to $110. A little pricey for me. I've had better for less. Despite the higher end prices, I may have been a repeat customer. However, the lack of appropriate disclosure and lack of knowledge by the staff as to what the additional charges are for, pretty much killed any chance for my repeat business and an otherwise positive rating.
