Dundee's Place

Dundee's Place is the newest establishment from the owners of the former Old Dundee Bar & Grill, and it's clear they are local and have a knack for putting care into their food, and into their community/neighborhood.It definitely has a "bar" atmosphere, but don't let that fool you. The food coming out of the kitchen is far from bar food, and so much higher quality! The staff was awesome. Hannah was the bartender/server who was there when we popped in, and greeted us when we arrived, also letting us know their top items when we let her now it was our first time there.We had one alcoholic drink, since we were there for lunch and had errands to run - it was a purple shot (but we sipped it) called the Purple Thaaaang. It was delicious and just tasted like grape Kool Aid with hardly any alcohol flavor (dangerous!), and the proceeds from the sales of that drink went to the Omaha Women's Center for Advancement (so awesome).Now, on to the food. To start, we ordered the Crab Rangoon, which I had read in other reviews was excellent, and they were not wrong! The wonton wrappers were super thin, which made the Rangoons much easier to eat - I don't usually eat all the hard crispy points on Crab Rangoon (and only focus on the crab chunk at the bottom), but not here! I ate the wonton wrapper along with the crab and it was all delicious.Another item we wanted to try in terms of starters was the Broccoli Bites. These were so tasty, and almost were like a fried version of broccoli cheddar soup! Each fried bit is pretty large, so you may have to break it into a few bites. It comes with ranch for dipping, so just be sure you are with someone you're comfortable double-dipping with - LOLMy husband and I both ordered burgers for our entrees, and they were burgers just like you'd have made on the grill in the backyard on summer nights. Deceptively simple, but well-seasoned and expertly cooked.Dundee's Place has excellent staff, affordable high quality eats, and a welcoming atmosphere for all. So next time you're in the neighborhood, definitely stop by and visit them for a drink or bite to eat!

Relaxed casual place. Burger was delicious. I felt welcomed by the bartender and the food service was quick.

I used to be a regular here and drink ALL THE TIME, I do not drink anymore and they still welcome with open arms. Food is priced as if you want to satisfy the people and satisfy this food does!!!! I have taken many people here and it the food, atmosphere, and service has never disappointed. Shout out to Hannah and Mark! Top notch service! GO BLUES!

Arrived before 6 on a Friday evening with family. Very dark and a weird smell. Tvs were on. A few people sitting at the bar. Bartender quickly came to the table and got drink order and appitizer. I was able to sample a beer on tap. Chips and cheese appetizer hot homemade flour chips. Nacho cheese good filler waiting for our burgers but nothing special. I really enjoyed my cider. They had a very extensive list of beers. But some in it they didn't have so ask before you get your gear set on something. The burgers are delicious. Great seasoning and perfectly toasted bun. The handcut fries also delicious. The whole family got burgers. A great neighborhood bar with good drinks and good bar food. We will come bac.

Really juicy burger. Bacon on the burger was good and crispy. Classic bar tasting food. Just really good quality. Tots were hot and fresh. I'd definitely get this place again.

love Dundee's place. food and atmosphere is alwaysiconic. HOWEVER, the person who answered the phonewas NOT friendly. When we went in to pick up our orderwe listened to them answer another phone call, andthey were just as rude and proceeded to complain outloud about the customer ordering after the phone call.overall disappointed in this experience.

to begin, perfect rangoons. is there a better reuben in omaha? (also is the reuben from omaha??) chill vibe on thursday for the late kitchen and lovely service.

My favorite bar! Like I'm really a regular here! Food is amazing vibes are wonderful!

The food here is of great taste and yet somehow probably some of the cheapest in Omaha outside of a McDonalds or similar fast food place. Have yet to have any sort of bad experience here. A bit less obvious than some other places, but truly a "hidden gem"!
