Dundee Candle

Such a fun shop! Abbey (B) did an amazing job helping with the navigation of which scents to pick. She was helpful but not too hands on which made for a fun experience even though I came here on my own. I ended up making a wax melt for myself and buying a candle as a gift. I would have loved to make my own candle but the dry time of 3-4 hours was more than I had in this little town. Dry time for wax was about 45 minutes and I was able to see other sites in this cute town. They also honor military with a 10% discount.

It's always a breeze coming here. My past two visits were for our annual group bonding event, and let me tell you, handling our big crew can be a challenge. Yet, every time, the folks here are super accommodating. This year marked the second round of our tradition, and the experience was just as smooth as the first.What I love is that there's always something new on the menu. This time around, I whipped up oils for a car diffuser and snagged some bubble bath soap. Now, the bubble bath is a ready-made deal, so no custom scents this time around. Can't share my verdict on that just yet - haven't given it a try.But, let me tell you, the car diffuser is a winner. It works like a charm, and the scent? Strong and on point. Can't complain about that. Looking forward to testing out the bubble bath and discovering what other cool stuff they'll have on the menu next time.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. It a bit expensive but the fun we had was priceless! We were greeted at the door and directed to our seats and asked to pick up a clip board. The greeter walked us through the process in great detail. We chose our scents and then met with Jensen who was assigned to us to help make our candles. She helped us pick scents that go together and helped make combinations. It was really fun to create your own scent and make a candle with it. She really knew what she was doing and great at it! The whole visit was a fun experience. We then went to lunch because they ask you to give two hours for the candle to set up. They said we could pick up another day too.

Enjoyed a day at Dundee Candle with a few friends. Reservations are not required but recommended so we called the day before to book a spot. Luckily we picked a weekday so it was not very busy. Upon arrival an employee helped us with the scent process and the products we could choose from to make (car diffuser, body lotion, candle, room diffuser). After choosing the scents we wanted then an employee guided us through the whole process to make the blends and for me the candle. I really enjoyed this and thought it was quite affordable! Will return for another time with friends and it overall took about an hour!! Would be great for a party or group get together!

I had the most amazing time visiting Dundee Candle Co! Jeanne and Jensen were beyond helpful! I've done a similar candle making experience once before but it was nothing like Dundee! I loved how they were able to recommend scents that would go well together based off the options you loved most! You knew no matter which direction you went in that your candle was going to smell amazing! Since we did a private party, we were able to pick ours up the next day! They had so many options for vessels to phage the candle poured into as well. I chose a beautiful copper vessel perfect for the holiday season.I definitely will be back soon!

A super cool family owned business in Dundee! I've been here for a Yelp event as well as on my own to shop for gifts. There are what seems like endless scent options to pick from!The store is gorgeous and clean, with racks of candles, some on sale, and some in gift baskets ready to go!The staff is very knowledgable about scents that mix well together.There is plenty of opportunity to stop in and shop, or plan a get together here. What a fun spot right in the heart of Dundee. This would be the perfect date night! They have 90+ scents to choose from! You start out with a clipboard and find your favorite scents on the wall. You can also choose from the cutest container options (not pictured). Once you've got your list they help you pair flavors together. You then pour each scent into a jigger and smell along the way to customize the blend to your taste. Mix into the candle wax and pick up your creation the next day once it's all done. These would make such a fun memorable gift for any occasion. I love the professionally assisted DIY You can also purchase pre-made candles if you just need a quick gift.

During a recent Elite event, I took the opportunity to make an additional candle. For this one, I opted for the scents of white Christmas, fraiser fir and blue spruce. I love the ability to fully customize a candle from the scent to the jar. Shop employees will assist in finding the right balance of scent. I wanted to burn the candle a few times before writing a review and my thoughts are the smell came out amazing, but for me, I like a really strong smelling candle and I could have gone for a bit more. Next time I make one, I plan to ask if I could add more of the oil. I also feel it burns a little faster than some I may pick up at a big box store. But all that being said, I much prefer to support a local shop and have the ability to create such a unique candle.

I have been dying to go into this shop since I saw they were open, but haven't had a chance until today! I'm so happy we finally made it in, even though they were going to close for the night pretty soon. The shop owners didn't mind, they still let us walk around to smell all the scents AND we were still able to make our own soy wax candles! My son and I made 3 candles all together, each with our customized scents we created with the help of the candle experts. You don't have to make your own candle though. You can also sell the ones that they make in shop too! I just love things that are made locally and stores that are local to the area. Dundee candle company is a really good place to go for an experience. For example, you can come make your candle or two then go out for dinner, and by the time you are done with dinner, you're custom made candle may possibly be ready to go home! It does take a little time for the candle to set to be ready to leave the shop. I also heard that they have birthday parties there! I'm thinking my child's next birthday party has to be here. It's such a great experience for kids and adults! What a better way to remember a special day or evening than by burning the candle you made that day!The experience and the candle scents they have is not the only things that are great at Dundee Candle company. The shop owners and the girls who helped us make are candles were also super awesome. They were patient with us (my son is 7) and super helpful for us to decide what scents we wanted to combine. Not only that, but it is such a warm and inviting atmosphere! If you don't want candles, they also have reed diffusers, wax bars, room sprays, lotions and hand sanitizers you can make too! This place is great! I feel like everyone should visit this place at least once.

What a fun activity to do with friends! This isn't just your normal candle shop. On one wall were shelves and shelves of candles with scents you didn't even think possible (old books actually smelled like old books!). We had so much fun going through and smelling them all.The first step is to write down all the scents you like. The staff was very patient and let you take your time smelling each candle. The second step is to pick out something to hold your candle. The third step is to pick which of your favorite scents to mix together. The staff was very helpful with this part and even marked which combinations went well together. I ended up choosing Georgia peach, white tea, and vanilla bean. Then they have you make your own label with markers and have you mix the scents together. Then you can leave and have to wait about 90 minutes for your candle to be finished.The finished product was amazing! Our candles smell amazing, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
