Dragon's Lair Comics

My husband and I have been to pretty much every comic book shop in Omaha on the search to complete our Wolverine collection, and this Dragon's Lair was one that had a few we were looking for!This is a bit more for the tabletop gamer, as that's a lot of what they have now, but they did have a good selection of comics, just put away more than the games that take a lot of the display area.The comics were there but were more in drawers, and they had cute comic characters of each alphabetical letter drawer (like Wolverine on the W drawer). Very clever idea!Another cool thing is that a lot of the decor they have around the store is dragon-themed, sticking with their name of the Dragon's Lair.They also didn't have as many figurines and pops as a few other comic shops we've been to (though they do have a handful). They more have the gaming dice, Warhammer figurines, and games like Settler's of Catan etc.The staff was more helpful at this location vs. the one out on 144th and Center, where they kind of act annoyed when you want to actually buy something and they have to ring you up LOLSo If you're looking for a new game or interested in collecting Warhammer figurines, this would be great for you. If you're on the hunt for a certain comic book, they may have that too, but it's not the main focus anymore like I remember it being when I was a kid.

On my trips, I enjoy visiting comic shops, used bookstores, and record stores. I was fortunate to have visited Dragon's Lair Comics and Games.**Pros**+ A wide variety of merchandise is available, from modern comics to vintage comics, graphic novels, action figures, role-playing games, trading card games, and Funko Pops.+ The staff was helpful and kind enough to allow me the time I needed to complete my purchases, even though I went a bit past closing time.+ Great prices on the goods sold here. I was able to find some books that I wanted.

This review comes to you from the early 1980's. My name is Mike and my brother Chris and I, along with our pal Jim used to shop here at least two times a week.Bob's bins were always loaded with expertly graded back issues. Behind the counter silver and golden age classics hung from the wall like Amazing Spider-Man 129 in near mint, a Tales of Suspense 39 and I think Bob even had a Batman 1 with all interior pages in tact but the cover was missing, but accompanied a xerox :-)....My brother Chris K was a favorite of Bob's. We all respected how Bob graded comics with more thought and preciseness then competitors. You knew you were getting what you paid for.I left in 1984 and my brother left Omaha in 1998 and sadly passed in 2006. I haven't been back to Omaha since 1993... was sorry to hear about the store burning down but hear the new location is pretty good. In 2023 I wonder is Bob still associated with the store?p.s we were there when the first boxs of Magic The Gathering arrived if you can imagine. Didn't have a crystal ball though or wouldn't have beat those cards to dust in tournaments. But that's exactly what they were made for.

I literally only read currently three comic books so I'm not a huge reader but dragons lair has a history of being the go to for comics in town.I've really only begun over reading these comics over the last three or four months and being this store is closest to me it works just fine. The guys working there all have been very helpful and very nice when I go in and I appreciate the small banter. The selection is always extremely sufficient for my needs as for comic books but they also have a huge area for gaming, meaning fantasy games which I do not do. I recommend this place highly.

Sold me a funko soda. Got in my car opened it and had no black plastic bag covering the figure. The figure was just covered in bubble wrap.. when I asked the employee why was it like this and out that it was already open... he called the manger and had the employee tell me "yea no bro some of the sodas don't come with the black plastic bag" I started collecting them more and realized I got rob by this trash company

Love this place! Cool people always have what I'm looking 4!! I'm a big Pokémon fan and they have a huge selection of cards. Super worth a visit

Nerds rejoice.When I was a youngster I remember playing some of the video games in the back and getting a couple quarter comics from here. When I visited here recently I happened to stumble on some very intense board games. There were four people gathered around a table, Three males and one female. One of the patrons says to the other "a trap door opens and you fall in, and lose three hit points. The female player rolls the dice next and lands on the same spot " a trap door opens and you fall in lose three hit points" She then says " wait, if he fell in first wouldn't I land on top of him shouldn't that soften the fall" . He replies "good point! lose only two hit points". I have no idea what they were playing but they certainly love this place. I am glad there is a realm like this in Omaha. Game on Dungeon master!

Huge selection of comics, games, and collectibles.There's a large gaming area for those that are into that.Randy is my guy here. He's on top of everything.I cannot go to any other comic shop. I'm loyal to Dragons Lair for good reason.

Back in the day, Dragon's Lair was my favorite shop. They had all the comic, miniature, RPG, Magic action I craved, plus many other wonders I couldn't even identify. After stopping in today, they're definitely still on top of their game. They have a gigantic collection of rent-able Anime. Plus, the comic stock is huge. If you can't find something in the store, definitely make sure to ask.
