Donut Run

The Donut Run was on my list to visit this year. I decided with 1 day left in 2021, I would visit this place when they opened today. I was their first customer of the day. The business is not very visible from Highway 6 when it's dark. The parking lot has plenty of spots since they share the lot with other businesses in the strip mall. I picked out my favorites to bring back with me. The apple fritters are not only large, they are very tasty with the apple flavor being savored in every bite. I couldn't finish the pastry. I also selected the Maple Bar, Old-Fashioned, and the Bavarian. Overall, this was a good visit. It's a mom-pop business in Gretna and it's important to support the local business owner.

As you notice my box of donuts from donut run, there are only 11 donuts. I couldn't wait. I had to eat one on the way to Bible study. Sorry ladies, but there's plenty for you! Oh, and BTW it was amazing! I can see why people drive from all over to come and get these donuts. The lady that works here was so sweet and she got me the last few donuts that were left. She said that one of their customers comes in every day and has been doing that for the last 20 years. I guess that says a lot for what this business is all about. Donut love is strong for Donut Run! So if you are interested in trying these donuts out, make sure you get here early for the best selection! I do think they could do a little bit more to make it more inviting and cute on the inside. There were just a few tables, but I'm sure they need room for long lines. lol And people probably grab the donuts to go and don't hang around. But I think if it was decorated a bit more, people would stay and drink coffee and enjoy the shop.

Donut run really helped us out when we were in a pickle. We were preparing for a donut themed photo shoot and called another donut shop in the area who promised to have pretty sprinkled donuts for us that morning. Went to pickup and they were terrible (brown, orange and red sprinkles??!)We called donut run in a panic. They quickly understood what we wanted (pink frosted multicolored sprinkles) and said they would have them in an hour even though it was a busy morning time. The donuts were just as expected and tasted great after our photo shoot. Thanks donut run!

I'm a donut snob and really only like Krispy Kreme. BUT, after trying out the Donut Run, I've found another favorite! Their donuts are perfect - light and fluffy with a little crunch!

Delicious donuts! I am a big fan of their raised donuts and their cinnamon rolls. They have a good variety so everyone should be able to find their favorite here.

I know this place has been around forever, but lets be honest about the new ownership. The hours of operation are terrible. A donut place is going to make money between 630am and 10am each day. Right now you have no idea when they will be opening or what days they decide each week to open.My suggestion to management: find a buyer who will run the shop like a business and not a hobby.

We love donut run! The employees are kind, the selection is wide and there's enough space to stand in line on a cold day :) Simple, nothing overly fancy...just delicious donuts and rolls!

Everything is top notch! Quick service and quality donuts. They make a Texas Donut if you order ahead! It is huge and very tasty. Wish it was closer!

Best donuts! Locally owned! Fresh all day and good staff. Don't wait too late in the day... the good donuts will be gone.

Shitty ass donut shop that doesn't even have glazed donuts. When I got there, there was only 10 donuts and 3 types, strawberry filled , raspberry filled, and cinnamon. I went there at ten. If I went to lamars donuts at 10 there would be a lot more donut types.
