This is the spark plug wire that was so corroded onto the "new" spark plug that the wires came out of the boot
This is the spark plug that they installed "new"

Don's rules. First off, the man and woman who interact with the customers are just the nicest people you'll ever meet. The other thing is the services are fast, if it's something routine. The third is I pay way less there than I do at one of the "big guys" up the street. I got an oil change for $60 when I used to pay $100 elsewhere. I'm a guy who's willing to pay a bit of a premium to patronize a local business, but if I can save money and do that? All the better.

Our Bravada broke done on I-80 at the Iowa Welcome Center.AAA via Athertons referred us to Don's Automotive. Don's Automotive diagnosed the problem and fixed our car in a afternoon, even staying after closing. We were able to continue our trip that evening.Don's charged us a fair price for our repair and communicated the progress of the repair so we could make plans. We highly recommend Don's Automotive.

I paid for my bank one spark plugs to be changed and they were not. My spark plug wire was corroded onto the spark plug indicating that the plug was not changed recently. I had them change the wire for me and actually change the plug this time. Shortly after I inspected the spark plugs to make sure they were new and found that one of the plugs they replaced was installed damaged missing part of the porcelain.

I took my company truck to Don's automotive for a rear main seal it was scheduled to be worked on Tuesday I dropped off the night before on a Monday was told I would have it back on the following day they did not accomplish that. They did not have the correct tools to do it and had to make something out of PVC. I get my truck back and it's still leaking oil I took it back and they said it was the turbo leaking.. I'm assuming that was the problem the whole time I get my truck back again and now it's leaking transmission fluid... I took it to a transmission shop and they diagnosed that someone had messed up the pump seal reinstalling the transmission. I called Dons and asked them to pay for the charges at the transmission shop as they had done more damage to my vehicle instead of repairs they told me to pound sand and said he would not pay for someone else to do the work he would do it but he could not get it in for 4 weeks. I definitely do not recommend using Don's unless you enjoy over paying for services that aren't done correctly

I love these Guys! What ever you do do not go see them, I want them to myself. I came in yesterday and one of the mechanics remembered me ( I had only been there once before) and we talked like old friends. I brought in my mom's car this time, because I knew if they could do me right, they would do her right. When I picked up the car, the mechanic that did the work came and talked to me letting me know what he saw and what he did. He treated me like an equal. So again, I must ask do not ever, ever, use these guys; I want them for myself.

I took my daughter's car into Don's. It's a 1998 Saab 900SE. Unsupported by Saab at this point, so we felt lucky they were willing to work on it. They had to do some repairs that required them to take the transmission out. They did the work and my daughter drove her car off the lot. Over the next week she noticed the gears slipping and when she put the car into reverse, it was like it was in neutral. I believed that the transmission may have been put in incorrectly, based on the timing and those problems not existing before we took the car to them. It's not clear to me if this was just an unfortunate coincidence or not. However, I brought this problem to Shelley's attention. She was kind and helpful. Don's ordered a used (presumably) transmission on their dime and installed it. My daughter picked up her car and it's been running fine. Friendly people at this shop, willing to help and make things right for the customer!

The folks here will take good care of ya.I was travelling from Wisconsin to Colorado just after winter storm Kayla and my Jeep started acting up around Avoca. I took it to a shop there and unfortunately, they didn't have the part I needed, but they referred me to Don's Automotive in Council Bluffs.I got there at 4:30 pm (the shop closes at 5:30) and without hesitation, they got me in. Then, they had the part I needed rush-delivered to help me get on the road fast. Chase is a Jeep guru, and in addition to fixing what I knew needed fixed, he examined every part of my Jeep and gave me a list of things that need to be fixed, in order by urgency. He also proposed solutions that didn't involve replacing parts.. Why? Because he knows what he's doing. Fixing Jeeps takes love and patience, and he turns it into an art.Anyway, nothing additional was needed immediately, but he let me know what to expect in the near future. Even though their shop closes at 5:30, they continued to work on my Jeep until it was finished, which was long after 5:30. Then, Chase and I talked about Jeeps for a little while. When I got the bill, I was *shocked* by how little they charged me. Under $100 for a specially ordered part, service, and thorough inspection. They even stayed late just to take care of my Jeep and to send me on my way. When I asked them why they did what they did, they said they'd do it for anyone. They care about the safety of people as they drive AND their cars. They are great folks. I wish I lived closer to shop like this one. Where I'm from, an hour of labor is $120 alone.

Our car stalled on our way to Tennessee for Christmas with 4 Kids and between Cheryl the receptionist and Flack the auto mechanic they had us back on the road in a reasonable amount of time and charged us a fair price. We would definitely recommend their services!!
