Ding-A-Ling Bar

A small town bar with that dive bar feeling you'd expect. You know, you walk in and everyone looks to see who is there. I once heard a guy tell his friend who just showed up "you smell like you've been working the hogs" and he did! We have been here many times. The beer is usually really cold, the food is what you'd expect. They serve a good burger. I see lots of people eating prime rib (I'd rather have a grilled steak) but across the menu prices are good. We enjoy The Ding and will keep going back.

This is a great "Diner-Drive In's-and Dives" kind of place! Good home cooked food - the fried chicken is legendary and the service is fast and friendly. If you're looking for four star atmosphere - go somewhere else - but if you're looking for food...which I eat much more than atmosphere...then this is a great choice. Enjoy and relax!

Ding's is a small town bar and grill so don't ask for atmosphere. With that in mind Sunday's fried chicken special was great. 4 pieces and a side for a great price. The crispy chicken wrap and fries were top notch. The other couple had the french dip with a potato salad side looked great. There were no complaints from our table.The food came out when it was ready as the chicken did take some time to cook.We all were happy and well fed.

Good local place especially lucky to have resturaunt in the area! The atmosphere leaves much to be desired but it's a small town dive bar so you don't go there for the decor ! Staff is friendly but they are usually under staffed ! Go for the prime rib special on the weekend ! Great deal!!! You won't leave hungry! The burgers are good! The fried chicken is excellent! It's worth the wait to be cooked to order! Overall most everything here is fried here. They have a decent beer selection and mixed drink selection! Good for a small town bar!

We keep trying it at different times and months and seems to be going down hill. It was a Sat game nite and opening deer season so food should of been fresh and good. Our appetizers of onion rings were cold, our salads were wilted and rust colored. One in our group even asked for a replacement salad. Brought back exact same. Seemed like when lettuce has been frozen then thawed. Very bad taste and like water logged. My patty melt was so salty it was uneatable. The waitress tried to be nice and we were all hungry but then our bill had lots of mistakes and charges for salads that came with meals etc. the water even tastes bad and silverware dirty. Just seems like noone cares . its sad because the atmosphere is like a nice little get away from town and we even live near by, but we always say it will be long time before we are back.

The Ding may not be much to look at, but for a small village hang out, some of their food is really quite good. Their BLT sandwich is my own personal favorite, while my husband raves about their Swiss mushroom burger. And if you are looking for a deal on prime rib on the weekend, the Ding is the place to go. The atmosphere may leave something to be desired, but for a small town, I feel very lucky there is someplace we can get a decent hot meal.

Beer was good, and has good choices. I didn't mind it. My wife was very unhappy with the female's bathroom(very important for the ladies!). I guess it has 2 toilette seats, no stalls, no doors, nothing. So not only if you and a girlfriend literally sitting next to you and holding hands(so I hear), when you open the bathroom door, all the pool players and whomever else can see in there. Don't know if this set up was a pervert joke, but should be fixed.

We were in for food and drinks before our son's football game and were very pleased! Even though they were overly busy due to more people than possibly the norm, service was still speedy..I could tell they made things from scratch, hand breaded mushrooms, catfish, and the salad dressings also seemed homemade..We took home banana cream pie and it was also good, highly recommend for good dive bar food and atmosphere.

The Ding-A-Lang is Dang good. Love eating here for lunch. Specials are always amazing and service is always fast.
