Dietze Music Briarhurst

Ben helped me with buying a ukulele. I hadn't played an instrument for many years and he patiently helped me find the right music for it. He also explained the different kinds of ukuleles and how they sound. I think I made a great choice and can't wait to start playing it. Ben made all of this selection so much easier than I expected. I'll be back.

This location rocks! Levi and his crew are top notch. Their Guitar Tech put a K&K Pure Mini soundboard transducer pickup in a guitar I own it it sounds wonderful. The thing I appreciate most here at Briarhurst is their honesty! From the Manager and throughout the staff, you may not always like the answer you get but you can count on it being honest. Some of the "big box" sales people are just as likely to prevaricate every twice in a while.

The staff here is really friendly and very helpful! They're always willing to call around and check for music if they don't have it in their store! They also are great at shipping things between both their stores in Lincoln and their store in Omaha. For their music selection, I give them two thumbs up and would definitely recommend them. My only complaint here is about their repair department. I have found they are dishonest and often do shabby work. I was told an oboe I took in couldn't be repaired, but the guy offered to "take it off my hands" for $100. My clarinet teacher suggested I take it to HornWorks in Ralston... they were miraculously able to repair the oboe for under $100, and it works great! The repair people have also done mediocre work on my clarinet, and I would not take it back there again! Other places do a much better job for less money! So, go for the music and the customer service, but avoid the repair department at all costs!

Nice store with a great selection. Mike the manager special ordered a guitar for me, gave me a great deal, and followed thru with it the whole time. He even stayed 15 minutes late so I could pick it up.

I have never had a bad experience at any of the Dietze stores going all the way back to 6th grade when my parents bought a chrome Rogers snare drum for me to play in band. Since then, I've purchased numerous guitars, amps, keyboards, harmonicas, and assorted accessories mostly from Briarhurst. The staff is incredible. They all have a love of music that transcends into an amazing ability to help the customer find exactly what they're looking for. I will continue to use Dietze for my musical wants.Steve Shively

ive shopped with dietze music since the 70s, ive never had an issue or complaint, I stopped in on Thursday 10/25 just to visit and say hi and show off my 2012 custom shop gold top dark back I purchased from this store in 2013, they let me change my strings and set it up and spent personal time with me with out any complaint or hurry me, this is so typical of dietze customer service! that's why I buy here and will always buy here!! thanks again guys you really made my day getting to be with you!! sincerely cowboy rodger estes park Colorado., ill be back

While I had no problem with the rental program, the instruments, or the service, I wish that they had made it clear from the beginning that when you rent an instrument, and want to purchase one, it only goes towards the cost of a "band" instrument. A "band" instrument meaning only instruments that they have to rent. My son was selected to switch from a clarinet to a bass clarinet. We found that Dietze does not rent bass clarinets and the money we had already invested in his clarinet would not go toward the purchase price of a new bass clarinet. Which is too bad because they missed out on a sale. So parents beware that if your child wishes to play an instrument outside the basics, you cant rent from Dietze and your rental payments can't be applied. Fortunately there are other great companies that do rent other "band" instruments.

I was VERY disappointed having made a deal AND PAID $1500 for a used Jackson PC1 only for the sales manager to sell to another party due to other considerations, literally removing the shipping label with my name/address off the packed box and replacing it with anothers. DO NOT use this store.......very shady!
