If you're a proud house dog parent, and they need that social activity...Dog Park it is. With the state of some of them in town, the aggressive weather lately, and a personal desire to not have a muddy dog in the car... Dewey Park is where it's at! It's 100% high quality turf, small/big dog separated...water feature, poopy bags included, and some fun activities on both sides. Plenty of water bowls too. For the two legged parents, there are great benches with big umbrellas...almost always 1/2 of them in shade depending on the time of day. I've only met a few fellow owners, but every one I meet is nice! Bring a book, Bring a Sandwich, and BYOD...or else it's weird if you don't bring a dog. I just have to try not to say the word Park around the house.

While this is a relatively small park, there's a lot here: shade trees, picnic tables, clay tennis courts, a modern playground and horseshoe pits. If you bring a picnic lunch you have your pick of activities. It looks like there's a building there that has space for events also, but it isn't labeled so it's hard to tell. Another great thing about this park is it's right next-door to a dog park. I have previously written about Dewey dog park, another place my dogs enjoy going off leash. So small but mighty, Dewey Park is worth a visit.

Dewey has always been popular for their basketball and tennis courts. Not many public parks in Omaha have either! With Mayor's addition of the new dog park, this will become a neighborhood haven for a lot of people. All the apartment residents of downtown, blackstone and midtown without yards will flock here. The dog park is brand new with no expense spared. AstroTurf, agility obstacles, human benches and umbrellas for the hot season, splash pad. Wow! New favorite dog park!

My favorite dog park! Usually really packed but very open and clean usually. Don't really like the sharp rocks for safety reasons but a fun place for dogs!

For years the tennis courts here were terrible with lots of hard surface cracks. I played here in 2020 and they were awful. The courts were updated in 2021, and I've played on them a dozen or more times since then. New courts, nets, and fencing make for a great tennis experience. It will get busy here during peak times after 5 pm, so get here early to play during the week.

This is Nova & I's go to dog park. It is a perfect location for us, as we live down town, and the turf is so nice after is rains. It is a bit on the smaller side, and the downside to turf is that you can tell when people don't pick up after their dogs. Park is normally empty in the mornings, but the afternoons can be packed!

Nice little urban park with a sports focus. Stop by from some tennis, basketball or handball/squash/etc. Great location in Midtown that serves the surrounding neighborhood. You could also probably get by with parking here on occasion when things at nearby Midtown Crossing gets full.Things aren't perfect here, however. The basketball hoop/rim looks like it could be upgraded and the grassy areas are a little heavy on weeds, so if you're out for picnic, maybe look elsewhere.
