Never a missed opportunity to stop off here! Just off the I 80 exit for Adair. This is a great spot to stretch your legs.A tiny little shop offering big ice cream treats! Additionally, there is a short menu of burgers, fries, and such for someone looking to get a quick lunch. The owner is very pleasant, the shop is kept very neat, and the ice cream is always excellent. This is a cash only establishment so make sure you don't walk in with Plastic only! Great little place that I stop by every time I drive through the area! I have to remember to make sure those cash in my pocket. Great food- pretty much anything you can think of in an American diner. Clean hometown dining; polite staff and customers. I'll always come back!

What a nice experience in Iowa! Note- CASH only. The grandmother who owns this quaint place just off I-80 has a lovely personality, as does her granddaughter who was helping out. The food was great- simple but yummy classic American fare for unbeatable prices (compared to larger/ chain restaurants). We had the grilled chicken sandwich, strip basket, Philly cheesesteak, and fries. The tornadoes (like Dairy Queen Blizzards) were delicious too, as was the chocolate malt. It was definitely worth the stop; we enjoyed supporting this small business and chatting with the locals.

Great little place on a trip thru the state, try the corn fritters & chicken strips. Wanted to try the tornados but didn't have any room left but they looked yummy.

My mom and I stopped here on our way to Michigan. I've gotta say this place was super amazing. The lady was great and the food is even better. It's super cozy and a tiny restaurant that sells all of the American greats. We are now on our way back to Colorado and spent about 1 hr trying to find where we went and finally found it..now we're headed back for some more great food.

Get the corn nuggets!!!! They are so yummy and the ice cream shakes were awesome too!

I highly recommend this charming little place. We just had the ice cream so I can't speak to the sandwiches though.Make sure you have cash because they don't take cards.

Super cute little diner with a surprisingly vast menu. The food was fantastic, the two girls working it were polite and friendly. They made good suggestions for those struggle with what to order. If I didn't live so far away, I'd probably be a regular!

I ate here when I was on contract around the area, I stayed in the hotel next to it so it was an easy walk next door. I typically love small gems like this one and It did not disappoint! This place has super delicious food for a great price. Both ladies in there were super helpful and friendly. It is cash only. I definitely will be stopping if I'm ever in the area again.

This place is a true gem. It is a staple around these parts. Monday is lemon ice cream is awesome. Shirley is the best! She also sells farm fresh eggs I believe now they are like 250 a dozen but the best eggs that I've ever had and I have tried several farm fresh eggs places around here. This is a must go to in the town of Adair. Many generations have taken there kids and grandkids to this place. My husband grew up coming here as a kid and now we are taking our grandchildren here. There is not enough space to say all the great things about this place.
