Worst motel experience EVER. I won't even take the time to delineate the reasons because they are too numerous. I am 65 and have maybe written 3 bad reviews but ppl deserve to know this place now a Super 8 is the most disgusting motel I've EVER stayed in.

I will never stay in this place again. Monday the 17th I laid down to take a nap and woke up with this crawling on my pillow! Took it down to the front desk and got our money back. Nasty! I will say they refunded our money really fast as they wanted us out because people started coming in to check in. I don't even want to give them a one star!

1. They advertise an indoor pool, however, it's under construction.2. The hallway smells like dirty socks3. Housekeeping just walked in at 9 am and again at 9:15... no knock, no warning, they just walked in4. The 'breakfast' is muffins, toast, coffee, and burned eggs in a crockpot. Gross!5. Bed was about as comfortable as a sleeping bag on a gravel roadNope. Won't stay here again

I am in my 40's and have never had a bad enough experience with a hotel that I felt the need to write a review. Short story: DO NOT stay at the Desoto Inn, and don't even THINK about reserving a block of rooms here. Long Story:We reserved two nights for a wedding. The sign outside said "Huge Pool", but it was boarded up when we arrived. The hallways reeked of smoke. When we got to our room there were two soaking wet towels outside our door. When we opened the door the entryway was soaking wet with a brown substance. The room (it was on the first floor) smelled moldy. That was enough for my wife to begin looking for other options. We found one across the street, so we packed things up and went to try and cancel the room. The lady working (not the manager) asked to show us another room. We agreed, but it was worse than the first (mold in the shower and a hole in the wall). We said we would just like to cancel. She called the manager and he refused to talk to us and instead told her to tell us the rooms (which were booked in a block) were non-refundable for BOTH nights. His first reason was we were in the room for more than 30 minutes (not true), and then he said it was because the cut-off date on the block was June 1. However, they weren't able to show this in writing to us when we asked. We moved to the other hotel and I came back later that night when he was working. It was the week of the College World Series, so my plan was to work with him and ask for us to pay for the first night if we could get out of the second night. He immediately said there was no way that was happening and then pushed a paper at me and demanded that I write that I agreed to pay for both nights! When I refused, he photocopied my credit card. I asked for a room key so he wouldn't get double credit for a room and he gave me a key that didn't work in the room he gave to me.It's one thing to have a disgusting room, but it's another when the manager resorts to threats to try and make some money.
