Cannot recommend this company enough. They were responsive, quick, and gave me an unbelievable deal on my blinds! John and Geoff were so professional and kind and took pleasure in getting our house fixed up with blinds and did so at about $1k less than competitors. Give them a call - you won't regret it!

Very very poor customer service. Had an order placed months ago and kept calling to get updates and kept being given excuses. We finally stopped calling and had to go with another company. Just got those blinds in this week. Cannot ever recommend them to do another project. Strongly encourage you to look elsewhere!

Like others, if I could give less than one star I would. I saw a card of their in the Valpak and called as we needed 2 blinds. John came out promptly and I paid a $500 deposit for the blinds, on April 19, 2019. I was initially told they would be here and installed in 2 weeks. It's now June and the business will no longer return my phone calls. I've filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and if there is no response from that, I will be taking them to small claims court. I wish I had read their reviews before choosing them. On Google reviews their owners are the only ones giving 5 stars, which says a lot. Better Business Bureau they have a D- rating. Do not hire them

We ordered our shutters the end of November and cannot get any information from the company about when they can be expected to be installed. It is going on 5 months now. We were told 6-8 weeks when we ordered the shutters. We have called frequently but don't get our phone calls returned, and we cannot get any information about our order. We wish we didn't have to give this type of a review.

If I could give it less than one star, I would. My 86 year old mother ordered plantation shutters from John at Designer Blinds. Was told it would be 2 - 3 weeks before they were in. After a month, she called and was given an install date. She prepared for the installer to arrive on the planned date and no one arrived or called. So, she had a friend call. John told the friend that they were on a truck coming from California so he was unable to track them, but would call back in a few days to advise. Two weeks later we started calling, made a total of 13 phone calls, each time being told John (the owner) would call back. Which he never did. Finally, After trying for 2 months to get an honest response from John, I flew from California to Omaha to get a refund for my mom. John told me "I don't make them, I have no control over when they arrive." Looking at the other reviews I understand that this is his MO. I had to threaten him with legal action in order to get her money refunded. I was fully prepared to address it in court if I had to. Do not give this man your business. The only two positive reviews I have seen were written by the owner, John Whyte, and a person with the same last name. It is ridiculous that I had to go to the lengths I did to get a refund. It is unconscionable to treat an elder this way.

Listen to the negative reviews! I should have checked reviews before choosing this business. They came out promptly for initial consult. All seemed great. Motors for allure blinds should be in in 2 weeks and shutters about a month out. We paid half as a deposit. 2 weeks came and went, no contact. 3rd week after multiple calls I finally reach someone. I'm told another 2 weeks. I said ok please keep me posted. Weeks pass again, no updates until I start calling again. Finally we get on schedule. By this time I expressed to a closed ear, my unhappiness with lack of communication/ 0 customer service. Installer comes out and can't install because a critical part didn't come with it. It's been 3 months now. By this time we said we were ready to cancel and would like owner or sales rep to give us a call. No one ever did and I spent another week trying to reach one of them. They assured me 10 more days. Promised to be out on a certain date. Didn't hear from them again. Finally my husband had to go to their office and wait until he could catch someone there. By this point a refund was in order. Through the process not once did anyone try to make it right. They literally could care less about keeping our business. Never an apology, just empty excuses. Yes covid has caused delays, we can accept that, but there is no excuse as to why customer service is non existent.

Designer Blinds installed our blinds about five years ago. We recently had to replace some windows due to hail damage. We were unable to reinstall the blinds ourselves and asked DB if they would help us. They came out the next day and reinstalled the blinds quickly and professionally!!! We appreciate the prompt response and outstanding customer service. We will always use Designer Blinds!!

Have the same comment that every one else did. "Ordered" blinds back in January and then never heard back from John after he was at our house twice. Luckily I never made a down payment even though I urgently tried to. Glad that didn't work out!

Designer Blinds put illusion blinds in all 27 of the windows in my condo. There are all sizes and shapes of windows in my home and they were able to fit each one perfectly to create a cohesive look throughout. The owner was very patient and knowledgeable in suggesting a color and style that fit my taste. The blinds transformed the whole look creating a soft look and a variety of options for letting in whole sunlight, partial sunlight or no sunlight!! The installation was very fast and done in a timely manner. The cost fit my budget- in fact I ended up doing more windows than I originally intended because the cost was much less than I had anticipated after looking at several other blind vendors. I am very happy with my blinds and highly recommend Designer Blinds
