Solid but not spectacular authentic Mexican food. Really nice people. Try the surf and turf quesadilla.

I always like Deleon's. I usually grab the delicious Arizona burrito, but today was the Tamales! This is a good solid, fast Mexican meal. It's basically fast food, self service type restaurant with good food. The restaurant is clean and maintained well.

The first thing one notices about DeLeon's is the horrible smell coming from the open dumpster parked right next to the drive-thru. The odor is so strong that it stays with you for a long time as you drive away. We were at the west side of the parking lot when we didn't smell the rotting garbage in the dumpster any more. It was really hard to even think about eating due to that smell. However, I did eventually enjoy my cheese and bean burrito in two portions since it was so big. The chips were fresh and although the guac was thin, it still tasted pretty good. As off-putting as the smell was, we will probably not come back.

Ive been going to the original De Leon's in Lincoln since 1993. I moved to Omaha 2 weeks ago and was excited to see them here. This is NOT Taco Bell. This is food that your crazy grandma would make. They don't worry about healthy, just great flavor. If you get heartburn, take your pill before you go, and enjoy your meal. I love De Leon's in Lincoln and look forward to many great meals in Omaha. I live less than 2 miles away. I just can't wait for the S 84th st place to open, cause I work less than a mile from there.

Coming from CA and having been to Mexico many times, I am super picky about Mexican food. This place has authentic Mexican food that is delicious. The staff isn't extremely friendly but I don't mind. I came for the food.... Not the conversation. I ordered enchiladas which were bomb. My friend got tacos and a burrito... they did not disappoint. Only negative would be that the diet Dr Pepper is not mixing syrup to carbonation correctly.

Horrible service. Mediocre food. Went at 3:30 am and the guy taking the order screwed up but refused to remake the order as requested. When asked if he would remake the order as requested, his reply was "I don't speak English." When asked if he'd refund the card because he's not giving what was paid for his response was again "I don't speak English." When asked for his manager's name, his response was, you guessed it, "I don't speak English." Basically, anything he didn't want to do, his response was "I don't speak English." With how much they charge for their food and horrible service, it's a wonder how they're still in business. Definitely won't be coming back to this disgusting establishment again. We went back in the next day to talk to the manager and complain about the service earlier that morning. Fortunately one of the employees from 3am was still there who remembered the ordeal and explained it to him in Spanish. After that, he offered to remake the food free of charge and give us free drinks. However, we declined and asked for the money back, to which he just refunded a straight $20 which was about 50 cents more than was originally charged.Bumped the review up to 2 stars due to the manager making the situation right. The food is still mediocre but they're good portions and are one of the few places open 24 hours.

I have a love/hate relationship with this De Leon's location. They're extremely inconsistent. On a good day, they're fast, the portions are generous, and the food tastes great. On a bad day, they'll use different recipes for familiar foods (such as using french fries rather than chips for their nachos!), there will be endless communication problems, service will be somewhat slow, and even after confirming the order, they'll get it wrong.Things you need to know: In a lame attempt to circumvent credit card merchant agreements, they charge a 3.99% service charge and then waive it if you pay cash. This location is drive-thru only. If there's a lot of traffic on L, use the northbound lane (east side) to reduce interference from traffic noise. Most of the time, their Super Nachos are the best in town, loaded with meat, cheese, beans, and pico de gallo.

Visited this place a few times, the first out of curiosity, and the latter times out of pure hunger and laziness to drive further. It really is below average midwest Mexican food...sour cream on tacos? come on. The menu is pretty basic...tacos (hard or soft), burritos, enchiladas, nachos, and some other side dishes. Basically it has everything you would expect out of a cheap Mexican restaurant, but also...churros!It's a small place with only 2-3 small tables, definitely more of a drive-thru establishment with a small parking lot. I have had most of the main dishes on the menu and nothing has been great, but the breakfast burritos aren't a bad option...definitely would do the Arizona burrito (carne asada, french fries, cheese and pico). If you're in a pinch and have a Mexican food craving, this might tide you over.

Menudo! If you don't know how to cook Menudo or you don't have a Mom who cooks Menudo, then this is an easy place to drive thru and grab yourself a good Menudo fix and it's a really good portion! It comes in a large styrofoam container and they give you a plastic bag with cilantro, onions, and limes, along with a tortilla. It may not be top of the line Menudo, but it's above average and great on those cold mornings when you need a breakfast of champions! I've also tried their tamale platter, taco platter, carne asada Torta, and I love their Spanish Omelette with beans and rice. I don't see why this place is getting so many low reviews? I live in South O and I think this place represents well! I visit at least once a week.

Ordered a carne asada burrito without pico (not a pico fan)... what do I get? A flour tortilla filled with meat and half a spoonful of guac. Literally, just SALTY meat wrapped in a flour tortilla... no beans, no rice, no sour cream, no lettuce. SEE PHOTO! Ate half of it and went to the trash. Not eating this salty burrito!!! Absolutely NOT authentic. Would NOT recommend to come here for a burrito. TBH, only came here because El Rey was closed. :(
