The rice and beans here were so good. I got a chicken chimichanga . I didn't care for it much. I didn't eat it right away because we hade like a 20 minute drive back to our hotel. It wasn't crispy and it was full of shredded chicken. I hate shredded meat. Over all it wasn't the worst, just not for me. The service was fine, the cashier spoke some English and was able to answer our questions. It was very small on the inside. Maybe like 4 booths and slot machines . Don't enter the drive thru because you can't get out, it was definitely like an alley way lol. Luckily I was able to reverse and go on the inside. I can't find the location we actually went to on yelp. The address is 824 S 27th St, Lincoln, NE.

I have been coming here for bout a week. While I'm visiting the staff is super friendly helpful. When your unsure what to order. I my first visit they did run out of green salsa so my burrito was dry. I have been ordering the steak tacos very delicious made tacos, hot, and fresh

Lately they have been making their burritos a lot smaller. We get 4-6 burritos here a week (breakfast, carne asada and bean) and have noticed the bean burrito special on Mondays has significantly shrunk in size. Even some days when it's not on special it's smaller. Not sure what the problem is but it's not a special or deal if they give you a half sized burrito. It's a particularly bad deal if you pay full price for a shrunken burrito. Typically, we love this D'Leons but it maybe time to try some new places in Lincoln for our weekly burrito fix.

First time here and it won't be my last! What a great local treasure! You will miss out on the salsa bar if you get to-go, but I got carry out and they gave me lids upon request. My lips are still burning (in a good way!) for those different salsas! I could not make up my mind so I bought two dinners. #1) Crispy taco and cheese enchilada - don't do beans so I got extra rice. The taco was still crunchy despite my 8 minute walk back!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the cheese tamale was a bit salty. #9) (2) Chile Relleno - this was my favorite! I love them so much and they delivered to my expectations! The batter was light and airy, cheese was melted throughout! Flavor was on point! Best I have had in years!The chips and salsa were fresh, and wonderfully crispy. You can tell they were made very recently! I feel like they were done in house!

Love D'Leon's for my "fast food Mexican fix". Why bother with Tex Mex when you can get the real deal. I almost always get a chicken burrito which is packed with meat and cream cheese. I also love the breakfast burritos. I order the two burrito meal for at least a couple meals worth. You can often customize to your liking (I love adding green chili), just ask! I do wish the beans and rice were a bit more flavorful but that's not what I go here for. Some of the locations also have jalapeño poppers. Nothing fancy - just the frozen ones you deep fry but I like to add an order sometimes. Service is usually pretty friendly, lots of options on the menu. For housemade, the prices aren't bad. Support local!

A friend of mine and I dined here yesterday afternoon/early evening. We were very happy and felt at home. I got here early and told the young lady cashier I was waiting for someone, not to worry that I would order soon. She was very hospitable. All the cooks were singing Spanish music and were having a great time while they worked hard in the back! The restaurant looks simple and you can tell the owner has Mexico pride with the green, red, and white colors as well as the Mexico Sombreros hung up all over. Nice and festive! There is even 3 slot machines in the middle of the place!!! Ok, now to the food... well, we were here on a Tuesday... and guess what? Taco Tuesday!!! Their hard tacos are 99 cents each! My friend and I both got 3 chicken and 2 beef tacos each. Boy, were they super dummy yummylicious! They give you plenty of lettuce, cheese, tomato, and most importantly, the meats. It was so much that we both had nice taco salads when we were done eating the tacos! Believe it or not, we were still hungry and ordered a smothered beef burrito with rice and beans to share. Again, all was super tasty! Great quality food! We will definitely be back again very soon! If you haven't come here yet, you definitely gotta give it a try!

Very good food. Would like to give a special shout out to the newest location on N. 27th near HyVee. Food comes out fast and fresh and the staff is so nice! My favorite is the chicken burrito. Love their hot sauce too!
