Definitely one of our favorite places to take friends when we want to visit and/or grab a drink. My go to drinks are : spicy Bloody Mary and Whiskey Sours. They make a delicious spicy pepper vodka that compliments Zing Zang. Their homemade sweet-n-sour mix compliments their whiskey nicely too. I recently tried their orange, vanilla vodka with Club soda. Not my favorite, but I'm not a huge Club soda fan. I would look into this location if we were hosting a party/event in the future.

My wife and I love this brewery/distillery. We always bring our friends here when they're visiting the area. I usually grab a beer on tap, but I know my wife usually goes for the liquor route. Every once in a while I will grab a spicy Bloody Mary, and their homemade spicy vodka is amazing! They always usually have a good IPA on tap for me to try too. I like the atmosphere, employees are nice, and the beers taste good.

I am still some what in shock that I can go to a distillery in Nebraska of all places and the rules regarding what distilleries can and cannot do are so much better than California or my home state of Jokelahoma. This place is paired up with Lucky Bucket brewery so it is a fairly large facility. It is located in a rather industrial park area near some other breweries and distilleries. I walked in got a flight of the beers from Lucky Bucket which were good and then I ordered a spirits flight. They had 3 to try, a vodka, a rum, and a single malt. I got 3 decent pours for $10 so there is no complaint there. The vodka was ok, nothing standout, but I was expecting more on the vodka front. I'm not sure why in the Midwest there are places doing rum since it's clear good rum comes from Louisiana or Florida where they use actual sugarcane in its manufacture. The rum here wasn't bad but once again not a standout. The single malt on the other hand was competitive with some of the better single malts I've had across the country. You can get drinks made from any of their spirits and they have onsite bottle sales as well. If I had any advice for this place it would be to add a couple of flavored vodkas, not infused mind you, but using other materials beside grains in their production. St George's out in Alameda does this really well for example. All in all a worthy stop if you're around that area.

This place was a nice and very spacious on the inside. We went on a groupon and that was a lot of fun! Their vodka is great, and we took two bottles home and definitely want to go back for more! There are a couple board games there to play, and the staff was very friendly!Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed going to the Cut Spike Distillery a couple days ago. A few co-workers and I went to the distillery after work this past Wednesday, and it was a great time. We used groupons that we bought because they were a steal; (two tours and two drinks a piece for $15).The Cut Spike Distillery was on the tour that we got and it was great seeing where they distill everything. To think that they brew, distill, and bottle everything in that one small building with only 14 employees is amazing; and with their whiskey winning top honors at the whiskey competition in San Francisco earlier this year is a great feat! That Wednesday was the first day that they released batch 2 of their whiskey. I have a bottle of batch 1 at home, and two was as good as the first. Their vodka was extremely tasty and smooth. I wasn't a big fan of their rum though. The service was top notch. The bartenders were super nice, as well as the tour guide. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the brewing process.Overall, this was a great experience. I'm happy that I ordered an extra Groupon so I can go back soon.

Cut Spike Distillery is attached to the Lucky Bucket Brewery. I've had the pleasure of taking a couple tours here, and have to say it's great to have a business like Cut Spike in the Omaha area. While there are some other local distilleries popping up, Cut Spike is the first since, well, prohibition. I've sampled their vodka on a few occasions, and have to say it's smooth and potent. Definitely worth the $20 or so a bottle for a premium vodka. For $50, I grabbed a bottle of their single malt whisk(e)y and enjoyed its unique qualities quite a bit, even though it's their first batch and is only aged 2-3 years. Says the bottle: "The distinguished taste of Cut Spike Single Malt Whiskey comes from premium grains and limestone-filtered water from the Sandhills of Nebraska." Islay Scotch it ain't, but smooth and delicious it is (might want to add a dab of water to it though, as it is 86 proof). I wish I didn't have to wait 7 more years for their first batch of 10-year!

Oh my. Really sad to post this because we love their vodka and want to patronize local business. Bought a bottle from Costco that tasted and smelled like nail polish remover. When my husband contacted them about it Jason offered to taste/smell it and give us a new bottle. They agreed upon a time frame for my husband to come out to the distillery. When my husband showed up and knocked on the door no one came to open it. He emailed Jason, waited (all of this outside in the cold), and finally left. When he reported all of this to Jason (who responded 6 minutes later he was there) his response was essentially "'it's your fault you didn't wait for me to respond". Really too bad because except for this particular bottle the vodka is excellent but we won't be buying it anymore.

A Nebraska single malt? Nah, not a chance it would be any good. And then, on a whim I ordered a bottle and was blown away. A very tasty single malt that not only do I love but my wife (a Jack Daniels fan) flipped over (she is Hong Kong Chinese). The closest she got to Nebraska booze was two years ago at the NU-UCLA game and a couple of Runzas. Speaking of Runzas, this single malt would pair great with a plain Runza. The notes of vanilla with a super smooth finish is a really appealing aspect of this Nebraska single malt. It tends to grow on you and is definitely something I want to make sure I order again--NOW. I can not wait for a 10 or 12 year aged Nebraska Cut Spike single malt. AS an NU alum and member of Sigma Cni fraternity I will definitely recommend his outstanding drink!
