As a retired military veteran, I have never felt obligated to post a negative review about anything, until now.I have been a member at Crossfit Kinesis for more than three years. Everything was great until recently when I became injured. I was then exposed to a side of the owners, Kyle Kasperbauer and Nissa Cohen, that I had never seen before during my time as a client at CFK.After visiting my Doctor about foot and ankle pain, I was instructed not to participate in Crossfit for at least two months as my Achilles needed down time to heal. As the contract states, if a member develops an injury, he or she is allowed to place the membership on "Hold". I contacted Kyle and Nissa via Facebook Messenger to discuss my membership options while healing. I have saved all written and electronic correspondence. Kyle messaged me back via Facebook Messenger and stated, "In regards to your membership, please email [email protected]. Nissa and I no longer handle membership holds or changes." This was an immediate red flag to me. For an owner to state, they are not involved with membership holds or changes is frankly, inconceivable. But, per their instruction I followed their process. I emailed [email protected] on Jan 30, 2019 and received no response. I emailed again on Feb 1st with no response. I then contacted Kyle and Nissa via Facebook Messenger on Feb 5th stating that I did not receive a response from [email protected]. I received NO RESPONE from Kyle or Nissa. It was clear to me, they were purposefully ignoring my questions to prevent me from placing my membership on hold. I drove to Crossfit Kinesis to address my concerns with Kyle and Nissa on Feb 11th, a full 12 days after my initial message to them. Nissa was present at the gym, but not available to talk. I was able to talk to Kyle privately. I explained to Kyle my disappointment with him and Nissa and their process. As a business owner myself, this is not how I do business and it's not how I expected to be treated as a paying member.Kyle was defensive but did apologize and assured me that whomever this "mystery person" is that has been assigned to monitor the [email protected] would be dealt with. His response was comical and somewhat incoherent. It is painfully obvious that he is fully aware of what is going on and he and Nissa are hiding behind the [email protected] to ensure they do not lose the residual income. My understanding is that several current and ex-Kinesis members have experienced the same treatment when dealing with injuries, membership holds or leaving Crossfit Kinesis. I would encourage all of you to take a stand and not tolerate poor treatment from a business who does not appreciate their clientele.Kyle and Nissa preach of community and bible verses. They walk that path as long is it does not affect their bottom dollar. Shame on both of them.Arrogance and ego, along with a lack in the understanding of what it truly means to be part of a community, are Kyle and Nissa's downfall. Do what's right for your community, clients and members regardless of how it impacts you financially. #DissapointedArmondo Canales

CrossFit Kinesis has coaches who are second to none. They know how to effectively scale workouts to a person's ability so that everyone has the best workout experience possible. All while keeping your safety in mind. The community of athletes is very supportive and we cheer each other on and many have become very close friends.CrossFit Kinesis is the second CrossFit gym I've been a member of and I've been a member for 3 years and enjoy showing up every day to challenge myself with a great workout.

I no longer live in Nebraska, but try to visit my family as much as possible. When traveling from Las Vegas, it is always great to stop in at Kinesis. All of their staff have been welcoming, I get great coaching, and their is a strong community within. Definitely a great box for drop-ins, and their new facility is top-of-the-line.

I am actually a powerlifter that has dabbled in CrossFit a couple of times but it never stuck until this gym. The dedication to each and every member's success doesn't compare to anywhere else. Each coach is always there to help and cheers you on even on your worst days!

Some of the best coaching and fellow athletes around. The term community doesn't even cover it, it's family. I have several limitations with my body and coaches always know what to do to help me participate and be good to my body. I love that the coaches have consistent times they work so that way they really get to know the athletes that have a schedule to make modifications easier. The owners are amazing and it's great to have coaches take class with the rest of us. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get an introduction into CrossFit.

Hands down best CrossFit gym. I've been to some good CrossFit gyms while traveling or temporarily living but nothing compares to the atmosphere, the community, or the educational level that Kinesis has to offer. They truly become family, and the coaches genuinely care about you and making you better. It doesn't get better than CFK

I was 51 when I began Crossfit, somewhat accidentally. I had been overweight, was on 2 drugs for hypertension, was diagnosed with osteopenia and "Graves Disease" treated with drugs by the endocrinologist, was being encouraged to go on a statin to lower my cholesterol, and suffered a lot of chronic, severe back pain partly from an L2 fracture.Today I am 55 years old, I am 100% drug-free, there is no more pain to manage, and at 55 this girl just competed at her first Powerlifting meet ever. I can deadlift over 250#! The staff at Crossfit Kinesis has coached me with great care. They were given the "nod" from my doc based upon the level of education, experience, and qualifications to deal with me, and what a great job they did... and still do. I have witnessed the kindness, laughter, fun and games while serious work and programming happen that change lives... every day. Last year I had to take considerable time off due to a medical reason and hardship, and was still given coaching on the things I COULD still do, with exercise and nutrition, all while keeping safe and healing. When I could return, they used care bringing me back up to speed. I didn't get care like that at that [other gym]If you think you are too old or too out of shape, or you think you need to be in shape to try this - just stop in and try it out. I promise, this is life changing. You will find a true community here, not "just" a gym. See you soon!
