This is the best-kept lunchtime secret in Lincoln! It's my favorite sandwich place in town, and with all of the hype about the East Campus Dairy Store, the Corner Deli is way underrated.Made-to-order sandwiches, nachos, & more. You can add havarti, blue cheese, & lots of other yummy ingredients you won't find at a franchise chain. Where else can you order a "Bo Panini"? Ha!If you're tired of fries, get chips OR a side salad OR fresh fruit OR your choice of soup to go with your sandwich. You can get a fountain pop OR a smoothie OR bottle of Naked Juice OR plenty of other things.I usually get my order to-go, but there's plenty of seating in the union. You can read a free copy of the Daily Nebraskan, or watch people bowl :)TIPS:- Park in the north lot marked "Faculty Only". There is metered visitor parking next to the union.- Get there before noon to avoid waiting in line behind hungry Ag & Dentistry students.- BRING CASH. The Deli doesn't accept checks or plastic (except for the University's N-Card). If you forget, there's an ATM next to the West entrance.

This place is a nice surprise. It's a little tiny kitchen, almost a niche, in the East Union. They have sandwiches, burritos, and pizzas, all of them made Subway-style. You order at the entrance and they make your sandwich/pizza/burrito from a selection of about 40 toppings, and slap it in the appropriate oven.I had a Mediterranean pannini, which had feta, an olive and tomato salsa, lettuce, tomato, and turkey on ciabatta. No complaints, though I don't love olives. For a giant $4 cafe-style sandwich I'm not going to complain. In fact, I'm going to return. But nothing has changed in the 3+ years since the last review. They don't do credit cards. Cash or get lost.
