My son and I visited corner cafe for lunch. We visited the corner cafe based on their Yelp review. We both ordered the chicken strip special. We received 3 chicken strips French fries, soup and salad bar and drink. The salad bar was respectable . The salad bar ingredients were fresh. The chicken strips and fries were average. The price was 9 each. We will return the next time we are in the north bend area.

Great diner in small town NE! Love the old bank corner spot with big beautiful windows. Friendly staff. We arrived Sunday afternoon and were told we could order off the breakfast, lunch or dinner menu. We both got breakfast items, plus onion rings and a piece of pie to finish it off. The onion rings are delicious, and the French Toast reminded me of home. The pie was exceptional.

The spot for breakfast or lunch in North Bend. Our small town cafes are such important anchors in rural communities, and the Corner Cafe is a treasure. The coffee is good for the midwest and passable for someone from the Pacific northwest, and the pie is some of the best around.

When journeying through some parts of America, it helps to recognize the local cultures. These areas have had decades to develop traditions, expectations, and ways for doing things. In addition, there are areas with strong Swedish, Czech, Polish, Norwegian, and other influences. Keeping this in mind, I've been able to enjoy visiting most of the small (less than 10,000 residents) I've been through across the nation. We were invited for lunch at Corner Cafe. This is a respected restaurant in the area, upscale for many residents, with a menu and presentations that are probably above average for the area. The interior was a little close, and dark. But we had a good time visiting while dining. This is easy to get to, right across from the City Square. so if you're going to be in Seward for a couple of days, you should consider having at least a lunch here.

Best place for breakfast and lunch in the area hands down. Darrel and Mary are the best! Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming while the food is beyond reasonably priced.

Not a bad little restaurant. It's a true small-town place to eat. Price is cheap and the food is not bad.

So nice. Great people, had pie and ice cream for early afternoon snack. Delicious and inviting. The first review was for two people.Today, we used the cafe as a meeting place for 11 people arriving without it reservation for breakfast. Nice big round table, fast service, and good food exceeded expectations. Oh....the breakfast sandwich has bacon on both sides of the egg. Yum.

Still an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch. And as an added bonus it's located between two Pokestops...so you can load up on supplies while you eat!
