This is my family's preferred Lincoln YMCA. Lots of opportunities to exercise in a variety of ways, including classes. We love child watch and utilize it regularly for our small children. The child watch staff are friendly and helpful, and have become friends with my wife and kids. A monthly family membership costs $84, so child watch more than pays for the membership each month. We've done swimming lessons for a couple of our kids here, and enjoy the fact that they have both indoor and outdoor pools. The only negative I can think of for this YMCA is that the water in the showers does not consistently stay any one temperature. This means when I'm cleaning up with my kids after swim lessons i spend most of the time preparing to yank my child out of the water when it momentarily turns scaldingly hot.

Super friendly staff!! I'm only here for a week and thought I could sign up for a membership for a month and continue using it back at home (Hawaii) for the rest of the month. They were very detailed about the situation and informed me that sometimes certain YMCA don't honor out of state membership. I already checked up with my local YMCA and got the full details of the situation. The gym offers a lot of equipment and activities. They offer rock climbing, basketball and a swimming pool. They have all the normal equipment for lifting weights and do get your cardio in. Only thing bad I have to say is being a new member they never offered me a tour of the place. Had to figure out where things were myself, not too difficult but I just thought it would of been nice

Absolutely horrible!..........I joined because I have two small children, and want to take them swimming, so naturally have to pay for a family membership...80 freakin BUCKS!!.... k fineWhat they failed to tell me upon joining is that from 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock the pool is absolutely closed for swimming lessons. As in my three-year-old and one-year-old get kicked out of the pool for swimming lessons. No sharing, No little section for them.... NOTHING. Is it the YMCA for everyone?... terrible...... when I get off work I can't even take them swimming. POOL CLOSED..... oh wait if you are doing a swim aerobics class it's ok...but little kids get kicked out.......was my 3 year olds birthday and they kicked us out, he was heartbroken. HORIBLE!!

This is my favorite YMCA in town. The staff is super friendly and the equipment is well taken care of and cleaned. There are lots of options for equipment to use and two separate spacious weight rooms on the main floor and the 2nd floor. Child care staff is nice and helpful with watching our kid and their hours are nice and convenient. Another plus is that a lot of our friends already go to this location so we run into each other often! I know that I will always have a great experience when I come to this location!

I love the Y. My daughter loves the child watch area and she also loves the pools. I have been here at all times of the day and even on weekends I can still get in a good workout without feeling crowded in. There is something for everyone in here. Overall, a good place to hang out and have some fun.

Float for life for kids 12 mo to 3 6mo is a MUST. Great class but hard to get into. You have to sign up for them at 5am! Meg is so great with them, and they will learn to swim in no time. We got our boys started at 18mo and they just love the water now. The pool is heated and its indoors so you can go year round for classes. The gym is really nice, but can get a bit crowded from 6:30-7:30am. Prime workout time.

I had a very bad interaction with an employee of the Y. She approached me while I was in the middle of my set to tell me I was breaking one of their rules. On top of that, she thought it was appropriate to wear her gym clothes and no indication that she works there. I had to ask if she worked at the gym. It's confusing to be in the middle of your set and interrupted in an unethical and moral way. As a young woman, I go to the gym to feel strong and sure of myself, not to be harassed by an employee of the y who is in the middle of their workout. It's hard for me to be in the weight area I general. Due to this experience, I no longer feel comfortable continuing to go to this Y. Hopefully in the future, the employees will be trained in how to approach those who go to the gym. For the future young women who have a hard time being comfortable in the weight area, if anything.

I typically only get a membership from November to end of January for the open swimming. This year will be my last. First of all, the pool is absolutely disgusting. Multiple hair monsters the size of softballs wandering around the bottom. There was gum in the skimmer that runs the circumference that had been there for weeks. No exaduration, I had seen it and then again over the course of the next couple weeks. The men's shower/locker room is beyond gross. The floor in the shower is slimy and really needs a complete cleaning. I really looked forward to swimming here in the winter.
