Nothing fancy here - just a really good optometrist and optician doing thing right. The prices were reasonable and quick - my transition lenses that normally take 1-2 weeks at Lenscrafters only 3 days! Highly recommend.

Helped me fix my glasses in under 5 minutes. The staff was so friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back here in the future if I ever need help fixing my glasses again.

For years my wife has always gone out west to her eye glasses place and one day we needed to get her glasses fixed in a hurry so we stopped into this shop to see if they could repair her glasses. Not only did he fix the glasses he had her new pair at a better price than the place out west, he was able to put her prescription in them within two days. He is one of the few optometrist that actually cuts the lens himself and doesn't need to ship them off to be cut. So the turn around is awesome! The glasses that she was about to order was about $855 out in west Omaha, his price $390 same glasses. It is a small shop with a lot of designer glasses and he takes great care of his customers! Give this place a try!

I'm a new customer, and I am impressed with Commercial Optical. It's a small, owner-operated business, and it's not posh, but don't let that stop you from checking it out. The selection of frames is impressive, from funky to conservative. And his prices are even more impressive. I looked, and his price for the frame I picked out was even lower than the online stores. I received excellent service, and my new glasses were ready in a few days. I'll certainly go back again.

The owner has been supplying my contacts and eyeglasses to me for almost 20 years. His father had an eyeglass shop in my hometown and he learned the business from him. I live in Lincoln and drive to Omaha for glasses because he is so quick with turnaround and the prices can't be beat as he has almost zero overhead. If he take a vacation his Dad (who is now retired) is watching the shop for him. Ten years ago I was packing for vacation and had forgot to order contacts in. He mailed me a disposable pair to get me through and they arrived the next day.That's why people go to him, He is a one-man show and treats every customer as HIS customer...something you don't get in larger stores.I am heading down there next week ...just booked an eye exam with Doc (Optomitrist who is there 3 times a week doing exams) and it will cost me around $60. That's a crazy good deal. In Lincoln I paid 3 times that when I tried to stay closer to home.)With the savings on my lenses (Owner cuts many of his own lenses) I will save a bundle even after gas money. He carries many designer frames and sunglasses. I have bought Nike, Jimmy Choo, couple of Maui Jim pairs from him...for eyeglasses he had D&G, kate spade, Coach plus tons of economical frames, as well. He had one section of budget-friendly frames that are as low as $50. I tried on a few from that one that were similar to Nike and the RayBan ones across the wall.The place is probably not as posh as the newer eyeglass places...not going to lie, but I will take the savings off my fab specs and sunglasses and the lack of decor doesn't bother me in the least. Customer service and a good deal will win every time in my book.

Called for an eye exam and was in within 2 days. Dr. Sturtevant was great and answered all of my questions clearly and easy to understand.Tim (The owner) fixed my broken pair immediately. My new pair were ready within 4 business days. (unheard of). I've been wearing glasses for over 60 years and have had my share of bard experiences. They are surely one of the best optical companies in the city. Happy with the price for both the exam and new glasses. Also, they open at 7:30 A.M. Not like the other guys whom don't open till 9 or 10 in the morning. I'll be a customer for life. Thank you.

I was glad they could accommodate me for a same day appt. That and the flat $75 exam fee were the only two good things about this place. The interior of this shop is TIRED...and unkempt. A virtual time capsule. The doctor was friendly (although quite opinionated) but wasn't wearing a mask (and went on about how they're useless) nor was the assistant behind the counter. The doctor did put on a mask just before doing my exam, but grumbled about it...and then put on a glove that appeared to be dirty and did NOT come out of a box of gloves...rather came off the corner of his giant, old metal desk in the exam room. The desk, by the way, was cluttered with PILES of hand written patient cards...all that PII just sitting there...not filed, not under secure lock and key. I should have walked out upon walking in when I saw no one was wearing a mask. Instead, I endured this doctors endless, politically-charged chatter all for the sake of getting a correct script.If you're interested in purchasing frames, best of luck. It will be a challenge finding a frame that has been cleaned even once since it hit the shelves...the store front is coated in road dust.All in all, I'm grateful for the quick appt and clarification of prescription (I hope it's correct)...but there is no way I'll be a returning customer.

As a pilot I desperately needed my glasses fixed as the screw came out of the side piece and if you wear glasses, you know what I mean! The gentleman at the counter was so very nice and helpful! I am now back in business but I definitely have a kind deed to pay forward! Thank you Commercial Optical!

I walked in here to get a routine readjustment, which the shop owner did quickly and neatly. This store has an array of reasonably priced brand-name optics and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a classical or contemporary style!
