Coinery

Let me start off by saying...I don't leave many reviews but lately I'm fed up with all of the shady people and terrible business etiquette and lack there of. The coinery has been around for many years...and for many years I've gone and bought things every now and then..BUT NO MORE..the guy that works here is VERY unprofessional NOT trustworthy and just an unfriendly unkind person HIS NAME IS JOHN! I wouldn't send ANYONE at all to this guy. He doesn't know what he ls talking about half the time he makes things up as he goes. Recently I took my daughter who was very excited about collecting coins in with me to the coinery and John "helped" us. In air quotes because I won't call what he did or said helping us. My daughter had some old coins and old bills and several very rare error notes paper money and a couple of very rare error coins. He looked at us and his EXACT words were "NO I WON'T BUY ANY OF THIS, BECAUSE IT'S ALL SHIT, He said "everyone thinks what they have is rare,but in reality all of YOU people are FUCKING stupid and do not know anything about collecting money.....EVERYONE THINKS THE THINGS THEY HAVE ARE WORTH SOMETHING,WELL THEY AREN'T. YOU SHOULD GO SPEND THEM THEY ARE GARBAGE" VERY RUDE TERRIBLE BUSINESS! HE IS A HORRIBLE PERSON! My daughter is very young and it took every ounce of respect to not yell at him! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! I'M GLAD OTHER PEOPLE REALIZE THIS BUSINESS IS . Contacting the BBB and several others to file formal complaints!

Quite literally the worst coin shop I have ever been to even when you call in it's an awful experience and seems like a scam too the current silver split price when I went in was 32 I get that's high so they want to pay less but he offered me 20$ an ounce and was selling it for 42 what a scam don't go here go to legit any other shop this place is awful

Dishonest, rude and quite frankly will attempt to rip you off. I knew what I had before I went in as this wasn't my first stop, he offered pennies on the dollar compared to other dealers.

Terrible! I can not recommend this establishment at all.A month or so ago, my girlfriend went in to sell a gold coin her son had been given as a Christmas gift years ago. She knew nothing of the value and took the owner at his word on the value and amount paid. Later, we researched the coin and found that it was valued at several hundreds of dollars more than he told her. I was upset by this, but the deal had been done.Today, I was assisting her son in the selling of another valuable coin. This time, I was determined to get fair price. Doing diligence, I called all around town. I even called these people. The gentleman on the phone told me what price he would pay, and so I decided to give them a second chance. Upon finally arriving at the business, however, I was told that he would not pay the price he had quoted. Upset at this, I asked why. He then told me that he wasn't going to buy the coin. He disputed the facts of the phone call that had taken place 15 minutes prior, to my disbelief. I told him he had wasted 30 minutes of my time, and that I would not be recommending his businesses to anybody. He told me to make sure to tell everybody that he called me a "son of a bitch" and I just left.Don't let these people take advantage of you! Make sure you know the real value of the items you are trying to sell before you take it to a scammer like this business, and make sure you go to a business that you can trust to give you a fair price that you both agree on. This business is not one of those places, so stay away!

As a coin collector I have been to many shops and the Coinery is simply a great place to do business! They have long tenured employees that are very knowledgeable and honest. They help me make good decisions on my purchases and I have also received really fair prices when I had to sell some of my coins to get money for expenses. Just a super experience!
