I have been having issues with my A/C unit for 3 summers at Stone Creek Villas. The current temperature in my apartment on 9/20/2022 is 81 degrees. The Villas are managed by CIP.They have been sending maintenance people and excuses to me every summer. There is no corporate oversight at CIP! All issues are directed back to the individual property manager which is the person that probably has not solved the problem. It's also the individual you are trying to file a complaint against! The worst service I've ever encountered on a recurring basis. They are really creative with explanations of why the A/C SHOULD NOT WORK! I highly recommend you NOT consider a move to this development. The appliances, furnace, A/C, and all interior fixtures are dated!

Resident for almost a year. Management is extremely slow at resolving issues from broken appliance to nonfunctional building entry doors. Apartments shown remodeled with new carpet are eventually revealed to be smoke infested stink wholes. Preston is more interested in maintaining the new club house than maintaining relationships with his tenants. Have tried several times to reach and upper member of management (Heather) and never have received a call or response back. 100% positive I will receive retaliation for this feedback but it needs to be know. I have always paid rent on time and consider myself to be very low maintenance. Wouldn't recommed CIP to my worst enemy. BEWARE! I have a 5 year old and they made me live out of a cooler for a week. A week without refrigerator

BEWARE!! Very crooked! I would give zero stars if that was an option. I lives at the flats on 84th.If you have a dog, they will charge you for new carpet if your dog did not damage it. I lived in the apartment for a year and a half and the carpet was over 3 years old. When I moved out they kept my deposit and said that I owed over $200 more due to pet damage to the carpet. There was no pet damage on the carpet and I had videos and pictures to prove it. I asked management for pictures of the carpet before I moved in and they continued to report they could not share the pictures with me. Then a few months later I was told they did not have any picture of the carpet before I moved in. I was told by a neighbor that the person that lived there before me had a dog. I contacted CIP when I was getting nowhere with management. I reported to them that if they could prove the carpet was not damaged before I moved in (pictures) I would happily pay for the damages. I asked for the millionth time, picture of the carpet before I moved in. This is when I was told they did not have those pictures. They have done this to multiple friends of mine that had lived at CIP apartments. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY!!!!

When you move out they tell you a remaining balance then thy try to shaft you with multiple charges including bills even after you have moved out. And the maintenance team is unreliable and rude when it comes to doing their job. On top of that there was piss around the toilets we cleaned ourselves, stains on the carpet which we took pictures of and they assured us we would have no cleaning fee since we spent time and money trying to make our home presentable and they still try charging us to clean what they gave to us in poor condition. They don't deliver what they promise they are Indian givers. Any other good reviews are because they just don't know what real service is and they have yet to learn what will soon change their minds.(This is for the north side apartments, north ridge) to be specific.

I'm somewhat new to renting, and this is my first apartment complex review. I've lived at Northridge Heights for nearly 2 years and I think CIP is great. 1. The leasing consultants aren't pushy or deceitful. 2. The maintenance staff is fast and friendly. 3. The community is safe and well maintained.4. The apartments are lovely! While I am moving on to my next adventure, I will miss CIP. They are a great value in terms of apartments and will be tough to beat.

On October 8, 2022 after almost 3 years renting at Stone Creek Villas managed by (Commercial Investment Properties, Lincoln, NE) I received an email that stated I was in a building that had been designated non-smoking since the day we moved in November 22, 2019. CIP admitted a mistake was made in the original lease of November 22, 2019. That lease did allow smoking as did the renewal of the lease on November 10, 2020 so for 2 years smoking was allowed! On December 9, 2021 we renewed the lease. We had lived at Stone Creek for 2 years so when my significant other asked and was told there were no changes in the terms of the lease we believed the CIP representative....we signed the lease extending the term for 6 months. On May 2, 2022 we extended the lease for an additional 12 months even though apartment is dated, old appliances, fixtures, poor maintenance, etc. only because they allowed smoking. In short when I explained on October 8, 2022 that there was a mistake we could smoke...I was informed that the lease was changed to non-smoking with the renewal on December 9, 2021 and again in the renewal lease of May 2, 2022. Sure enough buried in the 31 page lease on the back page of the "Liability Addendum" was a "No-Smoking Addendum". LET THIS BE A LESSON THERE ARE UNSCRUPULOUS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES OUT THERE! On October 10, 2022 I suggested a compromise to either be moved to a smoking apartment or move up the expiration date of the lease. The following was the response from CIP (Commercial Investment Properties) on October 10, 2022:At this time we do not have availability for the floorplan you are currently in. We do offer a smooth move program within all of our CIP communities, this would mean you would have to sign a new 12-month lease wherever you do end up, and reapply for that community as well. That is something I can look into for you, I believe the only smoking communities we may have availability at would be Southwind Villas on 96th and Giles, Eagle Run Apartments on 120th and Blondo, and The Grand Legacy on 180th and Center. As I stated with you on the phone your building has been non-smoking before you even moved in, this was something that we missed and we do apologize for that. We understand that this is a big deal for you guys as smokers. Regardless of that, you both did sign the lease so you are assuming responsibility of what you did sign. If you guys do choose to leave, you will be responsible for a break lease/buyout as this was signed within your lease renewal so it was assumed that all parties were in understanding of the lease and terms it presented. Respectfully,MY ADVICE! CHARACTER AND HONESTY ARE EVERYTHING! At any rate you make your own decision but I would not recommend or trust this company.October 10, 2022 SEE THEIR RESPONSE BELOW! THE 2 LEASES RAN FROM FROM NOVEMBER 22, 2019 THROUGH DECEMBER 2021 FOR 2 YEARS THE LEASE DID NOT CONTAIN A NON-SMOKING ADDENDUM! SO THEIR RESPONSE IS NOT HONEST! IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE FOR 2 YEARS NOT ONE YEAR AS THEY JUST STATED!

CIP manages Place 72 apartments in Omaha, NE. Here is my review of Place 72: https://www.yelp.com/biz/place-72-apartments-omaha?hrid=RHtJD-cv0Gavcp8HKTAr9g&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)In sort, I would give this management company zero stars if I could. Per the complaints outlined in the review of Place 72, every time my mom would try to go to CIP to get a resolution, they would be indifferent at best and rude, condescending, and completely useless at worst. When renting, look at what company runs the management and stay far away from any property associated with CIP.

I called NBrook to find an apartment, they informed me they did not have any available at the time but I could apply for one that would be opening up in September. So of course I paid the $35 app fee, and the $150.00 administration fee(joke) and when I was approved for an apartment that WAS NOT on market, NBrook took $400 for the deposit. Unfortunately they also charged for water, sewer and garbage which I didn't like. So naturally I said I would not sign a lease due to that. I was told I would be getting back some of my deposit money and lose the application and administration fees. (Of course) in the end I was told I would receive $50.00 of the $585.00 I gave to CIP........ I highly recommend doing you research when renting from this company....

Alas, my time with CIP is at an end. I've moved to Denver due to job, and, unfortunately, CIP is not in Denver yet! So this is the final update, the dreaded move out review. This is one of the critical points that most apartment management companies will fail at by becoming unresponsive and nickel and dime-ing you for everything they feel they can get. Luckily, I'm with CIP, and they don't do that! My nervous apprehension based on past experiences with other management companies do not apply to CIP. CIP was professional, responsive, and kind for the entirety of the hectic process of moving, not just across town, but to a different state. I had to terminate my lease and they guided me thru the process. Having received the final bill, I can safely say, there was no excess charges, in fact, it was far lower than I anticipated in my best case scenario. The leasing staff (Tara, Ashley, etc...) were always friendly and helpful. And the property manager has changed three times, with no negative experiences. Tamara Petersen is the current awesome property manager at Northridge Heights. Tamara was a pleasure to conduct my final business with for CIP as she was responsible for closing out my account and helping me thru the lease termination process. Coordinating with her is easy, and relieved the usual stress of such situations. Overall, I definitely recommend CIP to all friends and family. I hope they expand out to Denver one of these days!
