Welp... we came, we ATE, and we left. Made it out to Fremont after learning of "a" Chuy's last night! Of course we had to try their cucumber margarita and their jalepeno margarita, and the obligatory chips and salsa add queso. Queso was a little runny, but otherwise it went down the hatches with no issues.T snagged the FajiPina (fajita fixings in half of a pineapple), while I went classic and ordered their chimichanga (beef). Their Mexican rice is fabulous! Super flavorful. Not too acidic with tomato, but it had just the right amount of flavoring that wasn't tomato, that just hit the spot. Their frijoles were excellent too The chimichanga wasn't too tough, shell wise, so that's always a bonus. The beef wasn't anything special as far as flavor bomb is concerned; your typical beef, inside a smothered chimmy. Every now and again, there were hints of the pineapple among the shrimp and steak of the fajitas so that was a pleasant surprise. The margaritas were now not sure if they're top shelf, but you could definitely taste the jalepeno and cucumber. I bet their coconut and blueberry margs are to die for! For a little road trip north, it wasn't too shabby of a Tex Mex meal!

Craving Mexican? Chuys is the place to come if you happen to be in Fremont. Their tacos are a good size and taco on a freshly made tortilla. The meat is actually asada steak not ground beef like other establishments. They are served with grilled onions and if you like spice, you can ask for spicier salsa in the side. I personally loved the green salsa made with raw serranos. We had cheese and chorizo side that hit the spot. The margaritas are well served , I had the coconut blended margarita (which I forgot to take a picture of before I gulped it down- lol- next time! ). It's a relaxed informal ambiance, background Mexican music and tv's playing the soccer game or some comedy show. The staff is friendly and constantly came around making sure we were being served/ satisfied with our food.

My wife, daughter, and I met my mother and grandmother on Black Friday at Chuy's. The service was excellent and frequently checked on us. It's a nice small place the ambiance is excellent relaxed yet with some TV's. The food was absolutely over the top, excellent. I often will order the same dish from one place to the next to compare. Chuy's is excellent, and we will be going back next time we are in the area, I am sure of it.

I've been here a couple times and have enjoyed both meals. My parents have been here once and enjoyed it. My spousal unit and offspring have been here once and enjoyed it. Here's why that matters: we live in Omaha and choose to drive up here... about 30 minutes each way. AND we are from Texas and are picky about our Mexican food. Chuy's has good food, a relaxing vibe, and good service. The only negative thing I can say is the salsa needs salt. But guess what! They have salt shakers on every table.Good stuff!

First time here, I enjoyed the family atmosphere and the wait staff were very friendly. The meals seemed like home cooked meals and full of flavor. Delicious!

We walked into Chuy's as a party of 6 on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. in August, 2020 and were the only people in the place. The staff were were wearing masks and were attentive, checking on us often throughout. Several to go orders went out while we were there and another party walked in when we walked out. We tried to tell the entering party that it was awful and they shouldn't go in, but they were frequent happy customers and called us on our bluff. We ordered a pitcher of passion fruit margaritas and a pitcher of lime (why not since we can take it to go now right?) The chips were out right away, as were the salsa and the "hotter" salsa, which my husband orders every time. Several of us, including myself tried the hotter salsa -it wasn't too hot and had a smoky undertone flavor, habanero maybe? Two couples ordered the Molcajete served in the clay pot, with four meats and onions and peppers to share. The others ordered Fajitas Mexicana and Chile Colorado. They were all delicious and we took some home too. We really appreciated how the Molcajete served the shrimp on top of the other ingredients in the clay pots as a kabob instead of mixing the the shrimp in with everything else. Up to now our favorite Molcajete close by was served at El Centenario in David City, but this one at Chuy's had more meat proportionally and the beef was more flavorful and tender, which added to the way the shrimp was served, put Chuy's Molcajete as our new favorite in eastern Nebraska. If there was a thing we would ask Chuy's to improve it was that the side plates of rice and beans could have a a bit more beans and guacamole on the plate than it did. Our party's tab was $115 after the tip, which we thought was reasonable for party of six with two pitchers of margaritas-(we did end up carrying a large to go cup of margaritas out with us too-thank you covid-19).If we get back to Fremont we would come back to Chuy's and we order the Molcajete again!

Second time visiting a few days ago. Service was great both times. One big exception was that a family of 6 with 3 screaming kids was sat next to the two of us and crammed themselves into a booth. The whole entire place was open, maybe one other table while there. So this was pretty inappropriate.Food was good both times. I think the refried beans are as good as anywhere else in the area. I liked my El pastor taco and the grilled onions were a nice addition to the taco. Queso was cold and could have used more heat. Chorizo on the Chicken Fundido was burnt and some meat in the El pastor burnt as well. Enchiladas needed a little more cooking time- felt and looked like they were wrapped in meat then nuked in the microwave. Tortillas were not cooked.Might try again sometime.
