Church’s Texas Chicken

Ok so check this out. The gentlemen working went above and beyond when they absolutely could have just told me no. I was starving but had been working late and I had been wanting to try Church's. I had my mind set on it but lost track of time. Long story somewhat short, I called to place a pick-up order but with drive time at best I would be arriving 5 mins past close. Without question the kind man on the line gave me suggestions and said he would personally wait for me to get there. I was amazed and so thankful he waited the 6 mins past close that I rolled up to the drive thru window. My food was fresh, even at closing, super moist and packed with flavor. That kind of service deserves a 5 star rating alone, but the food more than matched the over-the-top kindness that this kind gentlemen showed me that fateful night. I have since been back and the service and food has been top notch every-single-time!!! We are blessed to have this in the area and if you haven't gone yet, that's a damn sin... get yourself to Church's!!

Churches chicken is all about convenience for me. Their chicken is sub par in my opinion, but they're the closest thing to my house and their smell wafts into my neighborhood drawing me in .The crunch factor on the fried chicken is off the chain, but the lack of seasoning leaves something to be desired.I've never once had an issue with service, it's fast and they are so kind! Just wish they had more flavor, and they'd be unstoppable. Parking lot is a real disaster also, who ever designed that mess needs a talking to.

Got the 16 piece tenders spicy today and was pleasantly surprised. The tenders were cooked perfectly, sized well, hot food temperatures, and really tasted good. Fast friendly service at the drive thru. Very glad we decided to try it again.

Spicy chicken sandwiches are a solid 9.2/10. Tasty, good portion! Very nice people working. Definitely would come back.

I can't believe how bad my experience was tonight. I've had church's before in Kansas City and it was fantastic. Now that I'm back in Omaha I was excited to see a church's here and only now just got around to ordering some. Ordered delivery and it was... awful. The biggest issue first: I ordered a five piece chicken tender and it looked as if it had been possibly eaten off already, chunks were in half and there were multiple small and a big one that was completely debreaded on both sides as if someone had ate all the breading off then served it to me. Multiple pieces of exposed and cut into/possibly bit into chicken? Disgusting. The ones that were open I looked at the chicken and they are PINK inside! Not even cooked all the way! Some pieces also has a weird red discoloration on them. Not sure what is going on over there but it's completely unacceptable to ever serve this to any customer. Whoever is in charge of this location needs to be fired and church's needs to do a serious quality assurance on this location. Whatever Omaha is doing.. it's wrong. I also will mention they gave me NO sauces at all which were supposed to be included in my order. I did get a few other things I'll go over quickly. Tried a chicken sandwich and it was bleh. Way too much mayonnaise and again the chicken just tasted... off.. I was skeptical to even eat it after the mess my tenders were and even eating this I felt like it was a bad idea and couldn't take more than a bite or two. I would never order this chicken sandwich regardless over a popeyes or chick fil a. This was mediocre at best.The mac was flavorless and had lots of gross burnt pieces of cheese in the middle. This used to be my favorite in KC and now I couldn't even eat it.The mashed potatoes were the only thing I actually ate and thought was decent. They taste just like KFC mashed but the gravy is slightly better here imo. It did have some seasoning in it. I got a corn on the cob and it's .. corn in water.. zero seasoning (salt? Pepper?) or butter.. which is fine I guess if you want to season it yourself but if you're not at home to do that definitely don't order it. It's bland without. The last thing I tried was the apple pie and I will say it was decent. Warm and flavorful inside. I imagine because these are premade and shipped to them from corporate and not made in store. Overall, listen to all the reviews! I still have it a shot because I have had church's in other states before this Omaha location is horrible! Go somewhere else!

Very overpriced. Not impressed. Popeyes is far superior............ wish it was better, so hoping for some good fried chicken.

I read a lot of negative fast food reviews and wonder "what we're they expecting"? But I am truly disappointed with my first experience here. Omaha doesn't have a church's so I was guessing the consistency long long lines was due to its amazing quality and reputation from the south. Well. I came through at 2pm on a Saturday and still spent over 20 mins in line. I order a chicken sandwich some tenders and some sides. What exactly is supposed to be the star here?I felt the tenders were dry and chewy. The jalapeño popper side with the sandwich only included FOUR ...coleslaw was flavorless and the fries were okay. For nearly $30 I was just floored how bad it was. I love Freddy's chicken sandwich and I would definitely save some time money and disappointment and drive across the street there.

It's been quite some time since the last time I had Church's Chicken, so I was excited to see that there was one in Omaha. It's pretty far west, so a little inconvenient unless I'm already out there. It's located on 168/Maple and I am closer to 90/Maple...so no spontaneous trips. Okay so the online menu isn't 100% and I feel like that's the same as most franchises. The food was good and the service was decent considering it was extremely busy, but they had a system that was working to get folks their food rather quickly. The spicy rice and the honey butter biscuits did taste as good as I expected and since is was super busy...the food was fresh which was nice. If there was a second location, I would definitely eat there more often....

This is some of the best fried chicken I have purchased in a very long time. It was crunchy and the pieces were big and the okra was absolutely fantastic. It's hard to cook okra well in the first place but to cook it well and be able to deliver it so that it's still good, that's something I didn't expect I was really expecting the algor to be so-so. But it was just as good as if I had cooked it here at my house.

I lived in Des Moines almost 40 years ago. I went to churches throughout my pregnancy and loved . When I saw the one in West Omaha I had to go!!!!Love the spicy chicken, great service and good food. In Iowa we always received a jalapeño pepper with our orders, obviously no anymore but the chicken was exactly the same!!!Love it!
