I will never return to this doctor. I felt shamed, disrespected, and like I needed to get my son out of there as fast as possible. We were new to town and needed a pediatrician. I took my two year old son to Dr. Koch for a well-visit check up. My son cried in this new place and at the stranger doctor. I would think many two year olds are fearful of doctor offices as they relate them to vaccinations. At that age, they get shots nearly every visit so it is understandable my son was scared and crying. Dr. Koch, however, was not understanding at all. He told my son to stop crying, put him in a time out in the corner on the floor of the exam room, and proceeded to give me unsolicited parenting tips about how he raises his kids. He went on and on about his philosophy of time outs and said nothing medically pertinent about my son. He had the "my office, my rules" mentality. Meanwhile my son sat in his diaper on the floor, confused, scared, and wanting me. I felt like a horrible mother and I will never go back there. My son was crying, that's it. It's not his place to discipline my son. Period. If you can't handle some tears or noise from a child, don't be a pediatrician.

So thankful to Dr. Koch and his team for providing the very best care. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the physicians-they are all great! They are easy to reach when one of our children is sick, they are great about getting us in when we really need it, and most of all they take their time with us when we are there. We never, ever feel rushed and always leave with full understanding of whatever is troubling our kids. Highly recommended!

This place is an absolute joke! I wouldn't advise anyone to take their children to Dr. Applegate! Not only did my son become very ill and have to go to the ER because of his negligence and poor "doctor's advise", but they refused to work with me on helping me out on anything. How could a so called "doctor" not be concerned about a young child's low oxygen level and high fever!? He saw Dr. applegate TWO days in a row and he said nothing! Come to find out later that day in the ER he had pneumonia and was sick as a dog. Luckily they treated him very well there and after many days he is now finally starting to get better. One of my coworkers said her sister's kids also went to him and he let their scarlet fever go on for ages. He is by far the worst pediatrician my child has ever seen and I immediately transferred my services elsewhere. If you're looking to only give your child one immunization at a time, don't bother with this place either because their policy is to inject your kid up with them all at once or forget it, they won't continue to see you. I wouldn't even rate this place one star, I'd give it a big fat h if I could. Personally my word of advice is to stay far away from this place!
