I lived at Chateau for three years and it was hands down the most beautiful apartment and seamless renting period of my life. This is a massive apartment complex with multiple buildings of varying styles and degrees of renovation. There is a huge beautiful pool area at the clubhouse, a gym with a reasonable amount of equipment that was usually always working, and a party room for rent. The office staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance staff is wonderful to work with.I lived on Norfolk drive in one of the newer buildings. It was a three story locked entry building that always had a working elevator and the hallways and floors were cleaned weekly. Mail boxes and garbage were conveniently located close to my building. Plenty of uncovered parking space and both the parking lot and sidewalks were always kept in fantastic shape. In winter, they were salted and snow was shoveled. In the spring and summer the gardening was impeccable. My apartment was a spacious 2 bedroom with a bonus sunroom off the master bedroom. I live in a house now and still dream about the size of that bedroom, it was phenomenal. Huge sunken tub and separate shower in the bathroom. Nicely sized spare bedroom and bath and a beautiful up to date kitchen and living area. The apartment has its own water heater and central heating and air. It is very easy to keep your home comfortable regardless of what Nebraska weather is giving you. The walls and floors are pretty great in regards to sound proofing. I only occasionally heard muffled noise and never had any noise complaints for myself. The balconies were pretty large and mine faced a beautiful running trail and waterway. In the summer the fireflies danced off the water and in the winter a local fox frequently frolicked in the snow. It was a hard apartment to let go of. The rent was super affordable and never drastically went up or down year to year. In the end, all of my deposit minus the carpet cleaning was returned to me and my move out was as seamless as the three years I rented here. I think this is undoubtedly the best apartment I have ever lived in.

I recently moved here this year. I find the staff to be incompetent. First I was given the wrong keys to enter the building. That was time consuming during move in. Next my gym key worked but it would not let me in the pool. Then I was told I could probably get a garage after move in, my texts have been ignored. Today I received a tow notice on my car that said I had not moved it for 24-48 hours. This was after I returned from the Mall! The office staff said I had to change my stall everyday. I was angry. They must get a lot of this...she went into a robotic recitation of not wanting any further conversation. Long stor y if you are over 50 and retired this is not a good fit.

Love, Love, Love Chateau!! I never thought at age 43 I would be living in a town home again but I absolutely love it. My family moved from California and found the complex online. We were a little nervous not seeing it in beforehand but Chateau continues to impress us. The entire staff has been very friendly and made the application process very simple (unlike Lions Gate where my daughter moved). When I walked in the town home, the colors, granite, appliances and floor plan took my breath away! Years ago, we had a brand new home built and I can honestly say this town home is just as impressive. If we have a maintenance issue, they arrive immediately. The neighborhood is perfect. Grocery stores nearby, Holmes Lake, excellent schools not to mention it is safe! I normally don't write reviews but I want others to be aware of the positive experience Chateau has brought to our family!

*im reposting this because they hid my girlfriends original reviewI will continue to repost**If I could give them a ZERO star rating I absolutely would. Do NOT live here!!So I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews because I try to give places the benefit of the doubt, sometimes more often than I should BUT I want everyone I know to know how bad it was living at Chateau. Please to anyone looking for a place to live, do NOT live here!! This was by far the WORST place I have lived at and it started literally as soon as I signed my lease. I was told the apartment I was going to be moving into would be $860 a month, not even a minute after I signed my lease the lady told me that it would actually be $880 a month because they were putting new carpet in the apartment-whatever. I asked if I ever wanted to move to a different apartment/townhouse there, how would I go about it and she told me that after living there for 6 months I would be able to move to any other apartment/townhouse on their campus and I would just have to pay the new rent amount AND I would NOT have to sign another year lease and that I would be able to just finish the remainder of my current lease there (6 months) Well when I went to ask about getting a townhouse 6 months later, they then told me it would be the rent for the townhouse PLUS another deposit fee AND I would have to sign a brand new lease and with all the bad experiences already going on I definitely didn't want to sign another year lease there so I stayed at my apartment. I had nothing but awful experiences here. First, when I moved in neither of my doors locked. I had to put a piece of wood under my front door to keep it locked and my sliding glass door never locked either, I also had no lights in either of my bedrooms, none installed at all. The first time I used my patio, the screen door fell off. SO so so over priced for the quality of the apartment! The first month I lived there they also accused me of stealing the previous renters packages (even though it was never delivered to my door, they even called the cops which luckily I told him what was going on and the cop said it was fine and that it probably just got sent to a different address) THEN on top of that, the lady under me constantly hit my floor WHEN I WAS SLEEPING, sitting on my couch or literally just walking from my bedroom to the living room because she thought I was "stomping on the floor" and she went to bed at 8 everyday, she left a note on my door and I kindly left one back saying I would try to be quieter even though I wasn't even the one making the noise and then she proceeded to complain to the office who then reached out to me and told me they would be evicting me if this didn't stop. They didn't even ask my side of the story, for either times that there were "complaints" and they were not professional at all. I will never ever live here again and I have already told friends who wanted to move here to not even bother and look somewhere else. If you want to end up owing $2,000 in "cleaning" charges (which by the way I cleaned my floor with a professional floor cleaning machine AND scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom clean and they still charged me that amount) for a place that's not even worth the $880 rent you have to pay a month then go ahead and rent here, otherwise take your money elsewhere, I can guarantee anywhere else would be better than this place.

They will nickel and dime you to death when you move out. Sure hope you don't mind losing your deposit and getting charged for bogus stuff! Pretty sure they were just using our deposit to lessen the blow of renovations since the apartment was super dated and old looking. Not only that, but when we moved in we had to call maintenance multiple times to fix things and the maintenance guys were pretty condescending and rude. Honestly, I'm less than impressed with Chateau and I'm genuinely confused by the good reviews. Overpriced for subpar apartments. Slumlords that like to take advantage. I'm so glad we moved out and were able to wipe our hands of them. Now we live in a much nicer place with far nicer people and amentities. We moved in to Chateau quickly since we needed a place to live and I couldn't regret it more. Loud and always smelled like smoke. There was never enough parking spaces and we regularly had to park on the street. Kinda ridiculous when you're paying so much for mediocre apartments. Just... so many things. Don't expect your deposit back or any decency from them in general. Save the trouble and move somewhere else.

It's wonderful living here. Spacious living and if there is a problem, they get to it immediately instead of weeks later. Office staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that whoever designed the kitchen must have been 6'5" or taller, cabinets are so high that I need to have a stool in there to reach anything above the bottom shelf. Other than that one thing, I love living there.

While my post may echo some of the same sentiments of those dissatisfied with their experience with a Chateau property, I feel that this is extremely important for any prospective tenant to read before engaging in a legally-binding contract with them. As a result of questionable business practice and poor property management, we are now out nearly $1700 after renting from them. I am not exaggerating.Let me start off by saying that, at first, my wife and I were pleased with the unit we rented. Rent was competitive, the amenities were competitive, and the location was decent. The first sign of what we'd gotten ourselves into with this property occurred when there was a visible leak stemming from beneath the toilet in our master bedroom. We were prompt in reporting the issue via Chateau's "convenient" online reporting mechanism as soon as we noticed it, explaining that the vinyl flooring was becoming visibly stained. Four days, another post online, and two phone calls to management later, a maintenance man finally came to fix the problem toilet. He never fixed or replaced the vinyl in the bathroom, and we never heard anything else about it. Upon moving out, we were charged nearly $100 for the repair of the vinyl and told that this is standard policy. The second, and more reprehensible, sign occurred upon moving out of our unit. Two weeks later, we received a bill in the mail detailing $1700 in repairs to the unit for replacement flooring, saying that if we didn't pay the balance or set up a payment plan, that the issue would be sent to collections and reported to credit reporting agencies. I knew that one room would need cleaning or repair, having had a dog who would urinate in one of two spots next to the patio door until he was kennel-trained. I was appalled that carpet for that one room would cost that much, so I decided to look into it further. I called Angie in accounting the next day, the person who was listed on my letter to call with any questions, to ask what had needed replaced and why it would cost such an amount. I was faced with nothing but evasion and the inability to answer even the most straightforward questions regarding my bill. Angie then said she would have the apartment manager, Nicole, call me back that day to discuss it. She did not call me back, rather, I had to call at the end of the next day to finally speak to her. This began a week-long game of phone-tag, Nicole telling me she would look into it and call back the next day, two days passing with no word, me calling back to hear the same thing from an employee who was clearly told to answer the phone for Nicole, etc. Finally, a week later, Nicole told me that carpet in the entire apartment needed replaced due to "pet damage" and that they had photographic evidence. I asked her to send me the photos, but after viewing them, noticed that both photos were from the two spots in the room that I had originally suspected. No evidence was provided for any of the other rooms. I then called Nicole back to question her about this, and she dismissed me saying that the facility manager had confirmed that everything needed replaced and that this was good enough to her to justify charging us for it. Again, no evidence was provided for replacement of any of the other rooms. I asked Nicole if there was anyone else I could speak to, like an owner of the property, but she refused to give me any further contact information. We have now begun paying our balance, understanding that to bring the matter to court would end up costing us more in the long run. I'm sure Nicole understood this, as well, and that is why she was so dismissive of me. I am still vehement that Chateau, especially its representatives Nicole and Angie, approached this situation in one of the most underhanded ways possible. We were charged unduly for repairs that were not necessary, and the lack of prompt attention to our matter, or even a call back, signifies a great disrespect for my wife and me. I will never recommend a Chateau property and I hope anyone who has read this really thinks about if they would be willing for a similar thing to happen to them.

Loved living here. Great management, great apartments and facilities. Well maintained.Only thing, make sure to check when your lease is up before you put in your 30 day notice! we thought ours was up in may but it was actually up in June. They didnt say anything about breaking the lease when we put in our 30 day notice and we were charged around $400.

Lived here for six years. Left cause I bought a home. The rent was reasonable, and it was very quiet. The downside: management does not give 24 hours notice before entering your apartment, which is illegal. They put a note on your door between 3 and 5 pm and say they will be coming in the next day to do routine maintenance. They once painted steps to the second floor apartments and said we were not allowed to use the steps all day long. So, when I called to complain they said they would provide a me a ladder to go out my balcony if I needed to leave. What would a person do it they had a young child... It once took 14 days to get my toilet fixed. When the maintenance guy finally came he apologized and told me that management told them they needed to take care of issues in vacant apartments first. Cause that makes sense? They also decided to do some electrical work which required shutting off the power all day long. Maybe they should've chose a day where it wasn't over 100 degrees? It took almost an entire day to get my apartment cooled back down, and I had to inconvenience myself with taking myself and my pet somewhere else for 24 hours to avoid heat stroke. Overall, it was a good, quiet place to live. They just need to work on their customer service and maintenance work.

If you move here.. your car will get broken into, you will eventually step in dog poop, your grass will die, and the kids play area is not evening worth going to for 5 minutes. The mail comes at about 4 pm. If you have little children keep them away from the roads because the speed limit is around 40 mph (not really but no one has ever noticed the speed limit signs) and a couple children have already been hit. I have lived in nicer. I do not think they should be rated number one... most of things offered are only awesome in the summer (which in Nebrasaka is around 3-4 months)
