Went to Fairmont to look at an airplane that's for sell and decided to try some "local flavor" on the way back home to Lincoln. Found this gem in York. Amazing service and atmosphere. We split a large prime rib that was cooked to perfection. Server mixed up some nice cocktails (Old Fashion and Long Island Tea). I highly recommend this place. "Chances R" you'll love it too

Quick stop for a Valentine Dinner with my husband passing through from Omaha to Grand Island for a wrestling tournament. It was a great surprise! We sat in a cozy area with a warm fireplace! The building is really unique and pretty. We both ordered the chicken fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy! Super yummy! We loved our stop and dinner! Thank you.

Oh my goodness. This is what family hometown restaurants are all about. Skip the franchises and treat yourself to some fresh home cooked goodness. Great service. Cool vintage property. Felt good like a hug

This place will give you something to talk about. My understanding is it's the only bar in York...other than the bowling alley? So Chances R it is.If you like an abundance of stained glass, this is your place. Why limit stained glass to windows when you can use it to adorn the bar and as art throughout the restaurant. And don't stop at stained glass, let's also add in some red velvet like seating. I digress.Service was not good. Took 20 minutes to get a drink, close to another 45 for our food. Food was decent, but by the time it arrived we were rather frustrated we had to wait so long.

It's fine. Nothing special, as far as the food goes. I had the big R burger and fries, with a beer for $20. The burger came out well done. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked.The rest of this review is for out of town visitors. Presumably locals know how to get in and get seated. If you are from out of town, you will follow GPS to the door of the restaurant. There, you will find a sign directing you to go through the doors of the pub next-door. If you do so, you will see a bar and a few tables. If you wait there... absolutely nothing will happen, no matter how long you wait, unless you are lucky, as I was. The one lone customer sitting at the bar eventually took pity on your clueless correspondent and directed me around the corner to where the host stand of the restaurant is located. From there, it was pretty straightforward. I recommend the wheat beer.

Sad to say, but for York, it's fine dining. apparently, patrons have never been outside a cornfield. If they had, they would not snub customers and physically cut off handicapped people while traversing the restaurant. Sandwiches were delivered, croissants four days old. Yummy. Bartenders that can't tend. Run those beer lines further. Watch Bar Rescue. Taffer would have a field day.Sad.

Very excellent place to dine. We were traveling and only here for a night. So glad we found this beautiful place for dinner. Great food with amazing flavor! Service at the bar was okay. We could have been seated at a table and maybe had a bit better service. There is some great history here that the new owners told us about. They are super friendly!

Service, food and ambiance didn't disappoint. We live far away and it was our first visit in a few decades. Classic small-town steakhouse.
