Went down to Nebraska City to check out the various shops and stopped by the Union Orchard Central Apple Market. Quaint little place. The shop is located along the main street along with a variety of other shops.When you walk in, there is a list of upcoming events/activities in the area. Also up front is a small bakery counter and what appears to be a small deli selection. Bakery area has cookies and donuts. Picked up a half dozen Apple Cider Donuts which are made there daily. The donut was soft with good flavor. As you walk deeper into the store, there's a variety of canned items, such as jams, jellies, apple butter, chow chow, watermelon rind pickles,etc. Toward the back of the store is a place to sample some of the local wines.Several tables in the middle of the store for those who would like to sit down, have a cup of coffee and a bakery item.Decent place to stop in and experience some of the local flavor of the area.

This is a great little sandwich shop and bakery. We greatly enjoyed the chicken salad and roast beef sandwiches. Come check it out.

A really nice place staffed by really nice people! I've known the manager for 20+ years and his culinary expertise is varied and always on point. The Market has wine tastings (which we didn't try this time). Since we were going on a river cruise we opted for the deli sandwiches. I had the ham & cheddar cheese on home baked honey wheat and Anne had a Pastrami on home made Marble Rye and both were outstanding! The sandwich selection is fairly standard meats and cheeses, the homemade bread artisan cheeses and are what really makes the Central Apple Market the obvious choice in Nebraska City, a town rich in fresh market choices!

Great fresh baked pastries and a host of food products daily. Great hometown service as well.
