Went to Carpetland and couldn't get waited on. I guess they don't need my business. Maybe they need better sales people. NFM had no problem helping me.

I made a reservation to have some carpet stretched. Made it for an afternoon since we were busy in the morning. As we were getting ready for our 10:30 appointment to get our taxes done, two guys show up at 9:50 to stretch our carpet. I explain to them that the appointment is for the afternoon, we are busy this morning. Come back this afternoon. Home by noon, wait around all afternoon for them, no phone call, no show. Enough said.

Great service, extremely competitive pricing and selection. Why go anywhere else for flooring?

Carpet Land provided carpet for my living room, and tile for my kitchen and dining room. I want to thank Connie, the store rep who helped with the transaction, Kelly and Mike, who laid the tile, and the couple who laid the carpet. It looks great, down to the last detail. I am very satisfied.

tl;dr I'm being threatened with legal action because Carpetland is trying to commit fraud by raising the price of my bill three months after the work was completed. See end of review for a full list of competitive flooring companies in Lincoln.I had carpet and vinyl flooring installed in March for a price I thought was agreed upon. The quote was only ever discussed on the phone, and was never sent to me either in the mail or by email. When the paper bill arrived in the mail for the price I was expecting, I promptly paid my bill and considered the transaction complete. Fast forward to July and I receive a new bill in the mail for over $1100, claiming that the first bill was only for a portion of the work, and was not the full amount, despite my memory of the phone conversation, and the lengthy period of time since the work was completed. I immediately spoke with an employee at Carpetland and explained the situation, detailing how I never received any type of quote or price for what they claimed was the grand total, and that I did not feel it was my responsibility to pay for something that was never detailed to me. Recently I received another invoice in the mail, so I called the store once more to discuss the situation, only to be berated by the owner Jeff Lehms and threatened with legal action because of his own business ineptitude. The failure of the business to adequately provide me with a full quote or expectation of costs is not the responsibility of the buyer, it is 100% the responsibility of the seller. To be treated like a criminal simply because Carpetland failed to send me a proper quote or accurately convey the scope of their work is an insult, and I highly encourage everyone to seek out alternative flooring providers or risk being treated the same. Some reputable flooring providers in the Lincoln area are:- O Street Carpet: 402-476-7567- Emo Flooring: 402-420-2323- Rainwood Interiors: 402-420-6868Go elsewhere for your carpet and flooring needs. Not only can this business not be trusted, they treat their customers like criminals for not wanting to be taken advantage of.

Beware Lincolnites! In a nutshell: CarpetLand had unacceptable customer service (post-installation) and very low quality control with wood floor installation. The owner is rude and will not work with you if you have problems with installation. We had an installer who did not use good judgement in installing our wood floor. More than a dozen planks he glued down (we do not have a subfloor) were visibly damaged and defective. I think 99% of people would discard these particular planks -- or at the very least, set them aside for a closet or other less visible area. The guy's response to our concerns: "That's just how it is." It is not like we ran the risk of not having enough wood... he either didn't pay attention to amount of wood available or simply didn't care about quality. We ended up with an entirely unopened box of leftover wood that clearly could have been used, but instead, the installer decided to permanently install damaged wood. After a long delay, 2 guys came back out to "fix" some of the problems. The putty just makes it look dirty and gross texture that will inevitably attract dirt and dog hair. Sigh... why!?? It is so disappointing to have saved up, waited for so long to have our "forever floor" put in -- and now have it be messed up. It was expensive -- and a lot of this turmoil could have been avoided with more common sense. To top it off, the owner was not responsive to phone calls --- and was super rude to my husband when he was finally was able to get a hold of him. I do NOT recommend CarpetLand. The poor quality control and disrespectful treatment is NOT worth the slightly lower bid they gave us we had compared to other local vendors.

We bought a new build and wanted to change the carpet out for the LVP flooring. When we showed up to talk to them, they were very helpful in the store. They were able to look up our house and know what was needed to do the job. They showed up when they said they would, and completed the job in two days! The installers were both so nice, and they worked very hard. They were efficient with their time, and it was obvious that they new what they were doing! Thank you to Jeremy and his co worker (so sorryfor making our house even more beautiful! Your work was very much appreciated!

I would give them zero stars if I could. We did two $25,000 projects with them in our child development center. The first one we did in 2021 and the second shortly after that. Immediately after the first one was installed I called with issues regarding the LVT separating. They sent the installer out to fix it and we continued to have issues. They claimed it was the glue so we decided to proceed with our second project and the sales person ordered a different glue for the flooring and were supposedly working to start the warranty claim on the other project to get the correct. Well, fast forward to 2023 and our floor still looks AWFUL and they are now avoiding our phone calls. The owner has even stated "he's too busy."

Carpet Land sent Jeff over to lay our vinyle floor in our Kitchen. He was knowledgeable, kind and a great worker. Request Jeff you can't go wrong. He was on time and did the work effortlessly. Can't say it enough! We were super pleased with his work ethic and professionalism. Love my floor.
