Cabin Coffee might be small now but is onto something big. This is a very small local, Iowa chain that is starting to franchise. These owners were enamored with Winterset, and decided to open shop here because of the town. As you can see from my pics this is a very homey style place. When I walked in (BTW, their drive through is quite popular and easy on and off Highway 95 - no getting out of your car on a cold day.) there were groups of friends meeting and catching up with each other. The staff was quick and efficient. The staff is known for gladly fixing your order to suit your tastes. For larger groups or for quieter conversations, there is a private meeting room available. While my coffee and blueberry scone was okay, it's the environment and staff that is hard to beat in town.In an era of illness prevention, checkout the pic of my coffee cup. They have a little sticker over the mouth piece as an extra protection against germs.

Stopped in for 2 hot chocolates and a mocha- was very disappointing. The drinks were barely warm and had no flavor. Ended up going down the street to Casey's. Too bad.

Cabin Coffee has been open for a week, and I stopped to get a hot beverage on Saturday morning. The restaurant was well staffed, and employees were still learning, but the atmosphere was upbeat and positive. I got a tumbleweed beverage. It has a spicy flavor to it that was a little hard to get used to, but it was unique and different. I will definitely explore more hot beverage concoctions or smoothies in the future. There are some breakfast and lunch sandwich items on the menu as well. Several tables and seating areas are available for those who wish to stay and enjoy their food and drink. It's a little crowded right by the counter where I assume you pick up your drink, but the employees also walked out to the main area to delivery food and drink. I know it's new, but hopefully they feel comfortable calling out the names when items are ready - my drink took a full tour of the restaurant before I saw it walk by with my name on it, so I voluntarily asked for it. There is a drive-through in this location which appeared to be quite popular. There is also a smaller private room which can be reserved.Cabin Coffee will be a nice addition for a "fancy" coffee drink in town or a spot to grab lunch.

Overpriced coffee and actually overpriced everything. I'll never go back. Go to the cellar on Winterset is much more reasonable and friendly

Great morning coffee on our trip through Winterset! Our kids also liked the cinnamon rolls.

Coffee is great, staff is very friendly. Unfortunately (like most places) they are under staffed so it's a bit of a wait. Still 5 stars since that problem is nation wide. I LOVE the signs and sayings all over.

I tried this for the first time today, and was extremely impressed. A chai tea latte is usually pretty run of the mill, but these guys knew what they were doing. Typically, the latte is overpowered with milk and you can't taste the chai, but not this one. This latte was perfectly rationed milk to tea. I love seeing a local business putting great effort into their work. Only complaint was that the drinks are a bit over priced.

Their coffee taste like flavoring and their food taste like nothing. Save your money, better luck at McDonald's.

Love this wonderful place so happy they came to town. We needed this so bad. There is another coffee shop in town but they are not organized like this place. People here are cordial and friendly and so nice. They have hot coffee after 3:00 plus you can get lunch until 4:30. A need to stop and try and you will love

I've had their coffee a few times, which is really great. I've tried of few different options from their lattes to the nitro coffee. The food on the other hand seemed mediocre at best. I've only tried one sandwich but it was stale and mostly bread. The chips were delicious.
