There was a nice variety of pole and aerial hammocks, and there was one burlesque performer (I think because she'll have a newborn by their next burlesque show) and a hoop. They had everyone inside in the audience wear masks, so I appreciate that they were being conscientious of the pandemic. They also provided a few free beverages during intermission an outdoor fire show. The only thing I would say would be the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. But I understand folding chairs are very easy to put out and clean back up."

Through the power of Google, I was able to find One Tree Yoga. For new students, they offer 2 weeks for $20. Since I was on vacation, I didn't bring my mat so I had to rent one -- which they offer for $2 per session. Keep in mind, if you're used to a thicker mat (especially with knee problems) the one for rent will require you to fold it over during any kneeling postures because it's on the thinner side. I was able to go to two sessions -- the first being a "Hot/Vinyasa Hybrid Hour" and a 90 minute "Hot Yoga." What is nice about One Tree Yoga is that the instructors are more than willing to give feedback and readjust your postures (I felt so bad because I was so sweaty!). Do bring: water bottle, body towel for the mat, and hand towel to wipe off the sweat."

I have only attended two classes so far and they kicked my butt but I felt so amazing afterwords. I was suffering from constant back pain before these classes and after my second prenatal class my back feels so much better. Teachers remember your name and really make an effort to do so. Each class I have attended has been small making it easy to keep up and see what the teacher is teaching. There is a child care here with an amazing play area set up. I can never leave my son because he cries and he didn't cry once here except when I went to take him home. I can't wait to continue doing more classes!"

Natalie E. "I've been coming to karma yoga for a few months now, and I have to tell you it's a great yoga studio. There are a variety of classes, teachers, styles, and members. You're sure to find the right class and fit for you, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi. The studio is in a great location, right off dodge at 156th street. The interior is warm and inviting with wood floors, tasteful decorations, and welcoming smiles from the owners and teachers. There are two rooms: a hot room for bikram and a regular room for the others classes. They also have a bathroom with showers and plenty of amenities (dove body wash, chi hair products, and a variety of lotions and beauty products). If you're interested in taking some classes, I definitely recommend checking out their website. There is a schedule of all the classes along with a description of each one. You can also read the teachers' bios. Payment is incredibly easy as well, as you can purchase unlimited months, single classes, or 10 class passes. You make a reservation in a class at you're leisure, then just sign in when you arrive. The classes themselves range from 60-90 minutes and are varied in level and style. I've really enjoyed the all levels slow flow, hyp flow, yin yoga, restorative, and kundalini. The studio encourages you to bring your own mat, but they provide blankets, blocks, straps, bolsters, sand bags, basically everything you could need for any class. The teachers all have their own style as you'd expect, but I have yet to meet one that wasn't kind, helpful, knowledgable, and accommodating. Some have been practicing for a few years, and others for longer than I've been alive. It's neat to be able to learn from each of them. I highly recommend this studio!"

The trainers are so positive and encouraging, the atmosphere of the place is great, and there is plenty of room on the mat. They are strictly a group exercise facility, so no machines here. If you are coming to Box-N-Blast, bring your own gloves or your knuckles will pay. The only downside I have noticed so far is that the parking lot fills up quickly when there is a popular class (They share a lot with B&B Classic Dogs and a hair salon, so peak times happen), but once the previous class gets out, there is usually plenty of parking available. I'm leaving one star's worth of room to grow in my review as I haven't sampled all their classes yet."

"New studio that opened up in Blackstone next to the Switch offering power yoga, barre, and sculpt classesHighlights:- BEAUTIFUL studio: brand new, floors are slightly padded, good sizes- Heated classes (85-99F)- Music plays during class- Variety of hand weight sizes- Good schedule (early AM through evening)- App for easy scheduling- Instructors putting effort into learning peoples names and building community- $10 deal for 1 week unlimited classesRoom for improvement:- Inexperienced instructors. Caryn Lee, Rachel, and Michaela were good, but the others are brand new and need more time to settle in- Very basic, repetitive series. Lots of sun salutations but did not see much complexity or variety. We ran the same sculpt class all week and by the end I think I could've taught the class. May be because the instructors are newOverall, this is a good studio but won't be for everyone. If you're a beginner this could be a good place for you. They definitely overindex with early-20s med students. I'm in my late 20s and felt relatively out of place. If you have been doing barre or power yoga for a while, there may be other studios in town that are a better fit (OPY, Barre Code). I'd be interested in checking this place out again after they've been open for a few months. If they joined CLASSPASS I would be interested in cherry-picking instructors/classes and keeping tabs on this place, but not sure a membership is right for me"

Ka'ili H. "I am so happy this location finally opened its doors to founding members not too long ago! Soon, it will be open for everyone to try out the benefits of infrared sauna workouts! Just in case you haven't had the opportunity to try it yet be sure to always stay hydrated and had enough food to eat prior to your workouts and throughout the week. I learned this the hard way. Also, if you do try it be sure to keep the temp around 125 when you first start out and of course go easy on yourself, your body needs to get acclimated to the heat and working out in it. Take your time and feel the warrior within emerge! What I love about this location at Shadow Lake is how large it is compared to the one I've been to at Midtown. There are a pretty decent amount of saunas with dedicated saunas for certain 30 minute workouts which make it nice when scheduling them. I also like that the FX zone is a pretty expansive area as well which include battle ropes too! I just stopped by this morning for a Hot Blast workout and saw that the vending machine and filtered water dispenser were recently installed! Nice!! What's also really great is you can purchase protein bars, drinks, liquid IV powders, energy powders, workout bands and gloves right from the vending machine if you attend during non-staffed hours. They give you a code to pop in when you'd like to go at a different time and they have special necklaces with buttons you press if you happen to need help and no one's there. I also love the manager Brian here, he's super friendly and helped me set up my new membership when they were offering founding memberships. I'm excited to pair these workouts with my lifting workouts I do at my normal gym."

Ann G. "First of all, there's a lot to love about Lotus. The downtown location is very convenient for those of us who work nearby. The studio space at the Pine Lake location is excellent. And the quality of teaching at both locations is generally high. One big downside for me has been the vibe of other yogis at the studios, however. I've gone to several evening classes at the downtown location, and it seems like there's always someone knocking to come in 5 minutes late (and, occasionally, smelling like pot). It's a small space and it's hard to ignore that. In general, the clientele seems to be fairly young and not especially diverse, and sometimes it can feel a little cliqueish or even competitive in class. I'm still giving 4 stars because I appreciate that we have yoga in Lincoln and I want Lotus to succeed, but I wish the teachers and owners would do more to make yoga accessible for a broader range of students."

Natural Therapy

Natural Therapy

★★★★☆ 4.2 (5)

Katelyn E. "Natural Therapy offers a lot of services, but this review is for their yoga classes only!Okay to start off... What a fun studio! I purchased a Groupon a while back for 4 yoga classes at this studio. I belong to another studio here in Omaha, but what attracted me was the aerial yoga classes they offered. I've done aerial yoga before, but never in Omaha and I was excited to see it offered here! The space is super clean and serene feeling. You feel like you're in a meditation area, as opposed to a gym, which I love. Big glass windows adorn one wall, so when you practice, you're staring out downtown. Exposed brick walls give the space a modern, yet cozy feeling. The studio itself a pretty small space -- for aerial yoga, only four people can sign up per class. I really liked this though ... it created an environment where we were all encouraging one another and laughing as we moved through poses. Aerial yoga can be challenging, and so having fun with it is important! Karen is the instructor for aerial yoga and she is great. Her voice is super calm and relaxing, and she's really great at helping you through the poses, regardless of how well you can do each one. I leave every class energized, but also sore... it's definitely a workout for your upper body!!There's free parking, which is awesome -- especially downtown. After class, I usually pop over to the new cute coffee shop next door for a coffee or a quick bite to eat. It's all connected, and feels very welcoming. Natural Therapy also offers a lot of other services besides yoga, and after visiting the studio and interacting with the employees, I'd be interested to see what else they do!The only con I have is that for aerial classes, you have to call in advance to sign up. I wish you could do this online, because I've spent a lot of time, calling and calling and calling when no one answers. I've had to leave voicemails (that don't always get returned), and sometimes it becomes a hassle to sign up for class. Other than that though... definitely check this place out!"

Andrew S. "I visited this fitness facility on a Saturday but waited until Monday to use my free pass. Once you sign the waiver, you are ushered into a small room with equipment or mat space. I chose to go with the spin bikes. The staffers are not trained to answer questions regarding Exercise Science and go by a memorized script. The class is only 13 minutes long and I just assumed from Saturday's tour they were 30 minutes. There are no adequate spaces to hang up jackets per space, cubby boxes are not large enough to fit thick jackets. There are only 2 restrooms and no locker room space to change clothes. The video workout did not provide adequate instruction for various fitness levels or proper encouragement in my opinion. There was no warm up period when the bike ride instruction started. The first thing the video instructor wanted you to do was to place a large resistance on the bike, get up off the bike seat and start pedaling hard. When I asked the staff member about this, she repeated what was told to her that a warm up is unnecessary since the room is 130 degrees which is supposed to instantly warm up your muscles. I let her know that's not what happens when describing human physiology. The superficial blood vessels dilate, bringing blood to your skin and not to the gross skeletal muscles such as the glutes and quads that require this valuable blood to help ride up these hills. I think I caught her off-guard and she realized I wasn't going to sign up for a membership.Dry heat exercise can be helpful if you take special precautions such as warming up before your session. Static stretching is not a warm up. I would suggest going to the free weight area and performing lunges or body squats 5 minutes before your activity. Also, hyper hydrate with only cold water and drink cold water during your 13 minute session, regardless of what the staff members or video instructors tell you when to drink. I wish the video instructors would be certified by The American College of Sports Medicine which would greatly provide instant credibility especially when dealing with many clients of all fitness levels and any medical predisposition. Lastly, the video should always provide the opportunity to stop or slow down if experiencing specific symptoms during your activity."

Molly M. "The easiest membership to have. The cost is insignificant for the amount you can go. (Around $49/month, add ons are $39). The HotWorx gyms are open 24 hours which means if you can't sleep in the middle of the night, you just type in your passcode and can sweat it out for that good good sleep. There are 9 saunas at this location, fewer at some others. 4 of them are for Hiit classes (rowing, cycle, and a bike called blast) that run every 15 minutes. The ISO workouts are 35-45 minutes long and are usually every 45 minutes so those are harder to find time to fit in your schedule if you find yourself swamped. Being that you can show up whenever you need makes it easy to not have an excuse to exercise...it's good for your mental health (and physical health of course). There are only 3 spots in each sauna so it's super important to sign up on the app. Saunas heat to 130 degrees max and you can lower it if you want. Every few months they change the videos to keep you from getting bored. There's an FX zone if you want weightlifting. You can rent a mat and towel for a few dollars if you don't have your own for the ISO workouts. They are staffed during the day about 11-8 so if you have any questions there's someone there to assist. Bonus; they have the cutest retail!! Definitely worth that free trial if nothing else!"

They have everything you need to practice yoga (extra mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks, eye pillows and essential oils diffusing). It is my happy place. 2. THE INSTRUCTORS - different ages, shapes, and personalities make for an amazing and different practice each class. I personally like the basic yoga because I'm pretty new to this, but the Vinyasa class (which is a little more challenging) is still accessible and they offer lots of alternative poses. I also feel like they give each student a lot of attention (without calling you out in front of the whole class).I always leave here in a state of well-being!They have lots of different pricing options and I'm pretty sure Sara will let you take your first class for free.
