"I was in town for business but needed a little break so I grabbed some coffee and stopped into The Second Closet. This consignment boutique is in a quaint, older building and you can tell the owner takes pride in what clothes she accepts and how she displays them. I was there during their busy 4th of July weekend and the owner, even though she was busy changing out the displays to match the season, took a few minutes to help me, acquaint herself and even get to know me a little bit. What I liked MOST about this business is that is has a large selection of gently used plus size clothing. And, they are easy to find right by the front door. As a plus size gal I tend to find small, hidden sections of the clothes I need, but nope, The Second Closet celebrates our curves proudly. There were quite a few things I wanted and tried on but some of the prices held me back. They are a bit high for second hand but again, these are high quality pieces from reputable companies. I did take home a very nice, classic piece though. The service was spot on, the dressing rooms are roomy, they have women's clothes, men's, children's, some home goods and jewelry and clearance downstairs. I'll be back!"
"The owners were kind and helpful. Elise gave us the information we needed and space to discuss without being the least bit pushy. We have a small house in mid-town and their furniture fits well, is restored beautifully, and the delivery was fast so we could enjoy our new pieces. We'll be back!"
"Matt and team are great. Super nice and greeted with a smile. Cool gear if you are into Supreme and other street wear."
"Super cute clothes, really fun, unique and affordable. So glad Omaha has a shop like this!"
"Great little eclectic shop in Dundee off of 50th Street. A combination business that combines art and framing services with a consignment antique shop. Owner is friendly and sociable. Three full rooms of various antiques including furniture, lighting pieces (chandeliers), glassware, paintings, clocks, and a vast array of this and that. Great place to browse for that special gift you may be looking for."
"Unique costume ideas for the creative older generation and the younger looking for something to compliment a costume. We ventured in and found a few things we hadn't seen other places. I'd say to check it out but keep in mind they're a specialty shop so they're a little pricier than others with packaged costumes from China. We had fun looking through their selection and the staff was very friendly unlike some others without the time. Make at least one stop here and enjoy the view!"
"What an adorable shop right in the heart of Dundee. I stopped in after my hair appt next door at Craft just to look. Albany and Avers was apart of the Women's Market but I didn't get a chance to shop there during the event, and I'm glad this was my first introduction. i would definitely classify this as a vintage store, and not thirft. These are high quality and cared for pieces. Every display is very thoughout and flows well through the stores. I found really beautiful skirts, boots, and dresses. Upstairs I saw a lot of great art work and unique hats and even art! There is a small try on room so you can see how the pieces fit before you commit. There was a bachelorette party walking through the store, and I thought what a fun activity and the perfect place to go with your girlfriends. The clerk at the front was super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back."
"This is a great operation........always getting in top quality consignment furniture, almost always lower priced than any of its nearby competitors. We recently moved back to Omaha and furnished most of our house with things we found here. They get new things in daily, so it pays to shop the store regularly. The family/ that owns it is s rock solid as they come, and very upfront, honest people. I wish all businesses were run like this one."
"Warehouse Architectural Salvage is located near the end of Central Ave (main street in the town) in Nebraska City. We were exploring and saw this place and wanted to stop in and check it out.As you can tell from the name; the business focus is on architectural salvage, doors, windows, trim, fixtures from historic homes. This is a fairly decent sized building dedicated to these types of pieces. If you are looking to repurpose things for your home, this might be a good place to look. In addition to the architectural items, I saw a variety of furniture, trunks, bikes, cribs, glassware, bottles, etc - a little bit of everything quite frankly. They also have a website that you can check out their inventory. Probably worth checking out. The owners also have another antique shop just up the road from this location as well.Check out the photos and you will get a feel for the variety of merchandise that you can find. One thing I did note - is that I thought prices were a bit high."
"I love it here! Fantastic selection of Vintage, collectibles, handcrafted, and repurposed items! The family that owns and runs this store are just a beautiful as the store is! Looking for an amazing gift for that special someone, you should stop in and check it out!"
"This store was recently remodeled and has a great vibe. The aisles are a little cramped since they have SO much to look at! There is hardly ever a line for dressing rooms even when I go on the weekend. The items they will buy are very hit or miss based on their inventory/needs, but they usually take $20-40 for 10-20 items when I bring a big tub in. They often are backed up and end buys early--almost always posting this on social media so customers are aware. The price and selection of items is great, I've shopped here for years and a lot of my wardrobe has lasted as long despite being bought used and at a discount! Some items are still pricy for what you get, but probably 80% of the time I know I'm getting a good deal. The staff here is the best part in my opinion, as it's gotten so much better over the years. It is clear that turnover is down as I recognize faces often and that never used to be the case.Overall I highly recommend coming in if you are looking for juniors/trendy styles. They also have a great selection for men these days!"
"I'm an avid thrift store shopper/treasure hunter and finally stopped by this place after admiring its snazzy red, white and blue paint job.I have to say I was a little under-impressed with their selection of mens clothing, but maybe that's due to this location only being open for a few months and is likely still building its donation inventory. Prices were comparable to Thrift World, Sal Army, Goodwill, etc. They also do one of those tag color specials, where certain items are half off or $1 depending on if their tags match the color of the day.I did score a Sony dual cassette deck that was reduced to only $5. Pair that with tapes of Wang Chung's "Points On The Curve" and Dolly Parton's "The Encore Collection" for less than a $1 each, and this guy is in heaven.Looking forward on returning for more treasure hunting. Props to Thirft America for supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Nebraska! A very worthy cause."

My experience at Prelude was exemplary. The owners were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They helped me find a unique Christmas gift for my son, who loves their store; and told me about it. If you are looking something that isn't cookie cutter in every other store in town, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

Amazing little boutique in the heart of Benson. The clothes are beautiful. Definitely a go to for closet staples and that "Wow!" piece for when you want to be seen. The shop itself is beautiful, comfortable to be in and pleasing to the senses. Highly recommend.

I have come back many times for expert framing and great selection. In the rare event something is not as expected, they are quick to make it right. The shop is full of great finds and they are priced right.

In need of a disco outfit for a party and your usual thrift stores/Goodwill weren't carrying any. Dropped into WWS and their whole back section is devoted to all things disco, groovy shirts, bell-bottom pants, platform shoes you name it they've got it when it comes to 60-70's vintage! This place was a lifesaver, would definitely drop by here again if i needed some vintage stuff to wear! Highly recommend this place for all your vintage needs!

This is one of our go-to consignment shops. Our top two favorites! The people here are wonderful people, the inventory rotates rapidly and often and they carry a very high level of quality merchandise. You definitely want to go here often!

"I LIVE for vintage shops like this! And evidently, this one has been living a good while- 25 years, I believe she said. There is a parking garage next door that offers the first hour free, which was perfect. Good to have a time limitation on my favorite time vampire. Outside the door is an old fashioned screen door- haven't seen one of those on a business in awhile. Charming. First floor is petite, with mostly tops, hats and a ton of jewelry, and a few other items. Downstairs is where the bulk of the merch is. It's deceptively large down there, especially compared to the petite first floor. The clothes are well organized by era and size and overall looked to be in pretty good condition. Prices were average. Staff was very friendly. Found a lovely 50's dress and matching necklace for a total of $50. Looking forward to wearing this outfit."
"Great Staff, friendly people. I have always been treated nicely and with respect when I go in there. I have never seen any behavior that has been talked about in other reviews. I understand that this is a business and that they need to make money as well. I have sold quite a bit of clothes and other items here, and I am ALWAYS satisfied with what I get for them. Thank you for doing what you do!!!"
"This is the real deal people. First of all, it's HUGE! Sure it's crammed to the gills and a little disorganized, but guess what, real collectors love that; it's makes the hunt more fun! As to grumpy staff, April is more than friendly so maybe you caught her dad on a bad day. If I'm still working when I'm in my 80s I bet I'll have a few bad days too. Now let's talk about "the stuff."They don't have racks and racks of boring everyday clothes here like everywhere else, but I spotted a cool looking London Fog trench coat hanging near a huge pile of LPs. They had two desk telephones from the 30s, an Italian-made record changer from the 50s and some really cool Bang and Olufsen gear from the 70s and 80s. You're not going to see stuff like this at most thrift shops. Pro tip; if you collect jewelry you have to ask to see the good stuff. The marked prices can be a little high but if you really want something, good things come to those who negotiate. I'm going to be a regular here because they're always getting new inventory in, and that's what's it all about. Five stars all the way!"
"This is a newer shop right at the "entrance" to the Benson strip, and it's fantastic! The shop has so many cool things, as well as odd, vintage, collectible, and artsy fare (a giant glass Ring Pop? Yes please.)There are vintage clothes, cool posters, sports memorabilia, and nostalgic toys. There's even a little area where a vintage style TV is playing old movies. My favorite part of the store was that there was a SHOP KITTY! She was so adorable and I'm guessing sweet (she slept and purred the entire time we were there, so she's at least chill with strangers anyway).Every corner and end of this shop is packed to the gills with neat things, so you'll for sure find at least one thing you have to have. We definitely did (an interactive Iron Man helmet LOL).Before you head into the center of Benson, definitely make a stop at this shop to check out their awesome wares!"
"Okay, so you know how some of these miscellaneous shops don't really have anything cool and they're just stock piled full with crap. Well, this is not the place. This place is the bees' knees and fun for all ages. You will get lost in every nook and cranny, not only from all the fun, but you literally feel like you're transported back in time. I felt like a kid in a candy store."
"This mid century, vintage retro shop is waiting for you to stop in and look at the cool stuff. There are various furniture items, glassware made from repurposed soda bottles, and art to peruse that you won't find at other places. Looking for a functioning black and white TV? They've got that too.The staff is helpful and friendly with easy parking out front."
"great service, friendly employees. Great sales and prices, budget friendly and trendy styles, would definitely recommend!!!"
"Love this shop! Consigning is simple - bring in quality seasonal items in good condition, and they'll evaluate which pieces work for consignment while you browse. Anything they don't select for consignment you have the option of donating to Fresh Start. From a shoppers point of view, clothing is displayed in a way that makes it easy to find your size. Items range from casual to business to dressy, and include purses, shoes and jewelry."
"Great shop! You can get lost in here for hours. Rows and rows and rows. The new owners have done a great job organizing. I always find something when I go here. It's kind of a cool set up as it used to be an old roller rink. Only thing lacking here are clothes and shoes, never seem to score in that department. I do take home a lot of other items though!"
"The Egg Krate is a very old building with history in it's walls including on the shelves of the store. The winding hallways of junk love is never ending and it seems almost like a maze. I could spend 5+ hours in there sifting through other's treasures and have! We visited in October when they had their huge outdoor market and it was crazy fun!"
"Lots of clothes to choose from and very decent prices! The staff was friendly too.2nd time going in, however, the women working there were rude and very cold. Came in on a Sunday 1/8It was like night and day from going in on Friday to a cheery , "treat others like you want to be treated " to coming in on Sunday "rude, I hate working here so I'll look at you like it's your fault"."
"oh em gee, I saw this store on tiktok and then the mention of Omaha, I immediately went to the website and ordered the cutest items from here. The prices are great for a local boutique, and the owner is very sweet. highly recommend"
"I love Urban Rack for up-to-date styles at reasonable prices. The workers are fantastic and the store is comfortable. The only con is the organization. I'd like to see things more clearly separated (I.e. dresses, shorts, skirts, etc) and clearly marked with sizes."
"Great Plains VTG is a vintage clothing store located in the Old Market that has tons of unique sweaters, jackets, jeans, hoodies, crewnecks, t-shirts, and more! My fiancé heard great things about it, so we had to check it out. I'm so glad that we did! I love to see recycled vintage clothing stores with fair pricing. Shopping second hand is my favorite way to buy clothes and how I find my most unique pieces that I adore so much. We were welcomed right as we came in and were surrounded by vintage clothing as well as posters on the walls. I enjoyed just looking around the store on the walls. The employee working was very kind and helpful. They provided my fiancé with a card where if you make a purchase ten times then you receive 25% off! There were also changing rooms available! If you're in the Old Market, you should definitely stop in!"
"Service is top notch, the all around organization is top notch, quality, designer options in anything you need is AWESOME! They have clothing, foot wear, bags, and all accessories needed to pull off "that powerhouse look" The value is just right for my budget ...I always walk out with a SMILE on my face!"
"Stopped in after buying pieces at Home & Closet Vintage next door. Started chatting with the owner, who pointed out her MCM stock. Ended up leaving with a gorgeous MCM end table inlaid with tile for a steal (under $60). Adding this shop to my must visit at least monthly list. Highly recommend!"
"Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to do some after lunch browsing. Lots of great fun finds in here. The staff was super friendly and helpful, very welcoming. They do some refinishing and have some very nice pieces of furniture in here. I definitely hope to be back as the inventory is always on the move."
"This is a great women's vintage clothing store in the Old Market Passageway on Howard across from V Mertz restaurant. I follow the owner's Instagram site called Couturesunrise, where she has some of her items listed. The selection of vintage clothes, jewelry, handbags and shoes is great! In addition there's art for sale as well as the large assortment of clothing. She can send them to you! The store looks great from the photos on the Instagram site. I bought this tan leather purse for a great price!"
"Fun and well-stocked vintage store in Benson. Staff offered a warm and friendly greeting, and helped us hunt for what we were seeking. There's plenty here - vintage clothing, housewares, PokémonGo and other contemporary collectibles, a booth with crystals and sage, jewelry and more."
"Like the previous yelpers have said this is a great store. You can find anything you could possibly want for gaming. I know I sure did. I also had a bunch of old game players and games that I no longer wanted and they took them off my hands for a very good and fair price. Actually more than I thought I would get."
"Great vintage selection right smack dab in the middle of midtown! Oh, and awesome name too! We found a couple of cool dining room chairs here; at the price we were looking for; actually MUCH better than we were looking for! The staff is busy but willing to take the time to say hello and help if needed.Parking can be a bit challenging but worth it! Check back often; inventory turns over regularly here. Stop in and take a look!"
