"This is Goodwill's location for their computer and video game junk. Need some useless Wii accessories? Head here. How about a broken laptop from the mid '90s? Well, they have those too. Yes, most of it is indeed just junk. But every once in a while, you might find something you deem useful or valuable. I'm kind of geeking out over old video game gear at the moment and am hoping to find some gems from the NES all the way up to the Sega Dreamcast. No dice on this visit, but I'll be popping into GoodBytes from time to time in hopes of finding something that fits my fancy."
"Joe is a nice guy and plays good music, but Chloe, his dog, is the star of this show. Not easy to find, Joe's is down a back alley just south of Jackson Street and behind Jackson Street Tavern (see my review) in the Old Market area, so just follow the signs.Dark and somewhat disorganized, you will find anything from treasures and trash in this massive collection of stuff. Clothes, books, knick-knacks, VHS, 8-track and cassette tapes ... you name it, Joe's got it! And the prices are very reasonable. I paid just 50¢ each for 5 cassette tapes and my wife paid only $3 for two antique books. The highlight of the visit was Joe's dog Chloe. She sits on top of the counter and accepts hugs and stroking from virtually any stranger. She even wears glasses and poses for photos with customers, having been featured in an October 2016 Omaha magazine ("Encounter") spread. Chloe gives hugs and otherwise accepts all of the affection you can muster, so stop by to see Chloe (she's 12) if nothing else.CombatCritic Gives Joe's Collectibles 9 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!"
"I want to say the only reason why I am giving this wonderful little place 4 stars is because it's only open till 4 PM and the store is pretty small (so the selection is small) BUT they are a wonderful thrift store to visit if you have the afternoon off. The elderly ladies that work there are all volunteers and are sweet as can be. I've found several amazing finds there including a vintage fox fur/cashmere coat for TEN DOLLARS. Shoes are $1 and bric-a-brac is always interesting. They do not take cards, so bring cash."
"Pretty typical Goodwill. Was hoping to fancy some fancy West Omaha stuff here but found your typical mishmash of used goods. They kept running some weird 50% off sales over the loud speakers. Almost got me to buy used headboard panels for like $10. Reason took over and I left. Def would stop by again if in the area."
"Went in this morning as we're new in town and wanted to see what the town has to offer. This is one of the nicest 2nd hand stores I've ever been in and I've been in a lot. Great variety, and the prices are very reasonable."
"Fun hidden gem! And one of those places you'd love to happen upon! A collector of 30+ years finally opening it up to the public! New inventory weekly...it's an eclectic mix of old antiques and new concrete and metals...don't miss the chance to stop and see for yourself!"
"This is the best thrift store near Crossroads. It's also the only thrift store near Crossroads. That said, this is the Goodwill that I frequent the most since they relocated their HQ store from Field Club to N. 72nd Street. As far as thrift stores go, Goodwill has really upped the game by offering a clean and modern shopping experience at nearly all of their many locations. Well as clean and modern in the sense that the store isn't overcrowded, they have new cash registers and good lighting to showcase all the, well, "junk" people have donated. When searching for mens clothes, I've noticed this location gets picked over fairly often, so you can stop by each week and maybe find something worth buying. Their prices seem a little high for selling donated goods, but you can't beat the daily $1 tag sales."
"The Daisy is a must-go whenever I am in Lincoln, great thrift shop with quality clothes - I always find a hidden treasure! My teenager daughter goes nuts whenever she is along, never leaves without a bag of stuff! They are open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm and also the 3rd Thursday of the month and benefit a great cause."
"The Repurposed Cottage Boutique is a unique store full of amazing treasures! From cute clothes (to up to 3x!) and jewelry, decorations for your home and crystals, stones and inspirational items, you'll find it here. Definitely a positive place to shop in Fairbury!"
"I'm an avid thrift store shopper/treasure hunter and finally stopped by this place after admiring its snazzy red, white and blue paint job.I have to say I was a little under-impressed with their selection of mens clothing, but maybe that's due to this location only being open for a few months and is likely still building its donation inventory. Prices were comparable to Thrift World, Sal Army, Goodwill, etc. They also do one of those tag color specials, where certain items are half off or $1 depending on if their tags match the color of the day.I did score a Sony dual cassette deck that was reduced to only $5. Pair that with tapes of Wang Chung's "Points On The Curve" and Dolly Parton's "The Encore Collection" for less than a $1 each, and this guy is in heaven.Looking forward on returning for more treasure hunting. Props to Thirft America for supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Nebraska! A very worthy cause."
"It's a thrift store - what's not to like? It's not as large as some other places (it used to have more space inside, but recently they have blocked off a a large portion of the store to have more space for sorting donations, I think).Prices are good; I think they are lower than prices at some of the larger, well-known places.Somehow I usually find something there that I need, though sometimes I didn't know I needed until I saw it there!"
"Great Staff, friendly people. I have always been treated nicely and with respect when I go in there. I have never seen any behavior that has been talked about in other reviews. I understand that this is a business and that they need to make money as well. I have sold quite a bit of clothes and other items here, and I am ALWAYS satisfied with what I get for them. Thank you for doing what you do!!!"

We were thrifting and decided to stop by. There is plenty of parking. The place is a medium size warehouse. There's a lot of Bends but it seemed like it was all the left overs. We did find a suitcase and a shirt. This place was okay pending on what you're looking for. Overall okay experience but you probably won't leave with tons of things.

I go to Joe's at least once a week now. He even lets me walk Lucky. I recently purchased a beautiful 1950's dresser with mirror for $40, but I also buy records ($2) and tapes, art prints, books, hardware, tools, cables for my stereo, a leash for my dog, a small fan...Joe's has just about everything I need except groceries.

This place is super cool!! It's small but the ladies there are super nice and always check up on you to make sure you find anything and everything you may need. They have a variety of different clothing styles and a very wide spread section of sizing. Plus super cheap! I got a tank top and a pair of jeans for just $3, do them a favor and donate even just an extra dollar bc they deserve it and use it to get more awesome things for people to buy

This is one fancy pants thrifts store! I had heard this location referred to as the "Gucci Goodwill" and had always wanted to check it out, but I'm a mid-towner and I just couldn't fathom driving all the way out to 180th for a thrift store. I finally sucked it up and made the trip out there last week and I'm so glad I did. The facility itself is pretty impressive for a thrift store. The inside looks like an Old Navy minus all the fleece.Clothing was a tad pricey, but overall the quality was much better than most thrift stores. (Shirts averaged 3.49-5.49).The only let down for me was the bric-a-brac section. The items in this section were too shiny and new to be considered kitsch.Overall though I would say it is worth the drive out there. (If any mid-towners are thinking of making a trip out to the Gucci Goddwill, let me know so we can car pool. I'm thinking we can split the cost of gas and maybe sleep in shifts. I'll pack the snacks and road games.)

This Goodwill is very large compared to other ones I have visited. I'm not a frequent flyer at donation based chains but stopped in here to see if they might have some old donated blankets I could use for my dog. Sadly, no blankets but I was fairly amused and entertained by the spread of trinkets in the aisle. There are racks of clothes for each gender as well as children. There's some dated looking furniture that looked rather overpriced by my standards. Then there were shelves of shoes and other homeware. I would give this store a A grade based on their organization and tidiness, but C on products. I mean, I know it's a secondhand shop but sometimes you can find some really great things. This one seems just OK to me.

"First off, I got the map updated so it points to their actual location... Which is. Little tricky to get to. It is on the NW corner of 156th & Maple, but you have yo go north a block on 156th and turn left on Spaulding and left into the Bank of Benson. I don't know ho eco endive other items are, but I purchased 3 really nice short sleeved shirts for $10, so don't be turned off by the "$$$" entry."
"This is one of my favorite little thrift stores to drive a little ways for. The staff is always so kind and they have so many fun treasures. I especially love to look at their sewing section and notions. I have found some great vintage patterns and fabric here, not the mention, my vintage Kenmore machine I got here for $10! Great prices and great organization."
"I stopped by this Goodwill last week in search of some big bowls. I walked out with some plates, bowls, and some vinyl records. The employee's don't really seem to be that much. I saw a handful of employees and none of them had a smile or seemed happy, so the customer service wasn't necessarily top-notch.The prices are always cheap and reasonable. They also keeps things stocked.I stop by this Goodwill every great once in a while as it is to see their new wares and that is definitely not going to change."
"This is the real deal people. First of all, it's HUGE! Sure it's crammed to the gills and a little disorganized, but guess what, real collectors love that; it's makes the hunt more fun! As to grumpy staff, April is more than friendly so maybe you caught her dad on a bad day. If I'm still working when I'm in my 80s I bet I'll have a few bad days too. Now let's talk about "the stuff."They don't have racks and racks of boring everyday clothes here like everywhere else, but I spotted a cool looking London Fog trench coat hanging near a huge pile of LPs. They had two desk telephones from the 30s, an Italian-made record changer from the 50s and some really cool Bang and Olufsen gear from the 70s and 80s. You're not going to see stuff like this at most thrift shops. Pro tip; if you collect jewelry you have to ask to see the good stuff. The marked prices can be a little high but if you really want something, good things come to those who negotiate. I'm going to be a regular here because they're always getting new inventory in, and that's what's it all about. Five stars all the way!"
"The Assistance League Thrift Shop moved within recent months from around 35th & Leavenworth to 85th & Center (near Westside Middle School). The new location is housed in a bigger space, has lots of parking, and is very convenient for me to stop in which I did last week. I was very impressed with their clothing selection. Everything was clean and neatly hung up on hangers organized by garment type, color and size. Prices were very reasonable. They had quite a nice selection of dishes, jewelry, knickknacks and books. There were even some puzzles, games and room decor. It felt high end and not musty, messy, junky or dusty like many thrift shops are. I bought a small box with a dragonfly on the lid for my elementary school age niece for $2.00 and the ladies working wrapped it up in newspaper and put it in a gift bag. That was a nice touch! My spouse needs some new work shirts and I told him to look there first!"
"This has got to be the most organized, awesomeness thrift store I've ever been in!! My husband and I happened upon this place back in 2012 while visiting family in Lincoln NE. We knew when we were going out for another visit this time that we'd have to stop again at Treasures. Thanks Sheila for the great conversation and thanks Treasures for all the fantastic stuff we purchased!! I HIGHLY recommend this place!"
"This is where all the best toys are found. My parents are big into gently used toys for the kids to use and I finally went with my mom a few days ago. There were endless amounts of toys right up my kids alleys. The pricing is quite good, and fair for barely used, and hard to find toys! My son is big into trains and PJ masks and all those big toys at Target are pretty pricey and here they're in my budget. I haven't found the store to be anything but friendly and easily accessible. Ample parking and in a somewhat busy spot on Maple. I appreciate all the Elkhorn folks donating their nice toys!"
"Amazing selection of vintage clothing, linens and housewares! I've visited several times and always leave with the most unique finds to add to my collection! A real treasure in Florence!"
"This is one of my favorite new thrift stores in town. Every time we walk in, we are greeted and told the deals of the day - which everyday is something new! The store is also HUGE! You can walk upstairs and see men's & kids clothing, shoes, fabrics, and blankets. The main floor downstairs has housewares, a furniture section, and then farther down is more kids clothes, plus women's. There is truly something for everyone here and this thrift supports the community. I go every time I have the chance!"
"great service, friendly employees. Great sales and prices, budget friendly and trendy styles, would definitely recommend!!!"
"Great shop! You can get lost in here for hours. Rows and rows and rows. The new owners have done a great job organizing. I always find something when I go here. It's kind of a cool set up as it used to be an old roller rink. Only thing lacking here are clothes and shoes, never seem to score in that department. I do take home a lot of other items though!"
"This place is wonderful! I appreciate the affordable prices and it was like a hidden treasure chest! So many items from clothing, accessories, household items and more! Check out the ballgown dresses for all sizes. Such a great place!"
"The Egg Krate is a very old building with history in it's walls including on the shelves of the store. The winding hallways of junk love is never ending and it seems almost like a maze. I could spend 5+ hours in there sifting through other's treasures and have! We visited in October when they had their huge outdoor market and it was crazy fun!"
"This is a very nice "curated" store with well organized, clean merchandise. The owner is friendly and informative. They didn't have any of the stuff in interested in, vintage electronics, tapes and records on the day I visited. Definitely one of Omaha's better antique/junk/curio shops."
"I really liked this organized little store. The prices were fair and it was neat and tidy. It's not a huge place, but they have it laid out nicely and have a good system. I didn't make a lot of purchases on the day I visited; however, I'm sure I would shop there a lot if I lived closer. It's street parking and was a little competitive at least when I was there, which was near lunch on a week day. I think the other businesses were pulling in lunch crowd and that made it harder to find a nearby parking spot.As another person mentioned, they have really good COVID procedures in place and the cashier was very friendly."
"Pebble Creek Vintage is a stop on the 2023 Passport Program and it exceeded my expectations for a small town thrift store. Staffed by community volunteers, the pride and passion is on display and you can't help but get drawn in by the volunteers who help find treasures in the bounty of offerings at Pebble Creek. I purchased some clothing items and an Omaha Royals vintage lunch box. I may be back to purchase the Easy Bake Oven that I spotted in the toy room. Everything is tastefully displayed, easy to navigate and overflowing with finds from designer purses to bicycles, nursery furniture and antique school desks. Furniture is housed at their downtown storage that is open by appointment--a photo album can be viewed to select from the offerings. All proceeds from Pebble Creek goes back into the community. Hidden in plain sight, we drove by the store twice before we saw the signage. The building is an unassuming former implement building on highway 275 as you go through Scribner, You will find it, but you may drive by a time or two like we did. If you are a college kid or are looking to furnish your first apartment--this PCV would be a great place to start."
"I've been coming to this location since at least high school, and the logic behind my loyalty just proved itself again: today I bought a pristine Marc Jacobs handbag for $8 and new with tags Adriano Goldschmeid corduroys for $4.Yep, short review, but let me reiterate: LEATHER MARC JACOBS BAG FOR EIGHT AMERICAN DOLLARS. AG CORDS WITH THE TAGS STILL ATTACHED FOR FOUR DOLLARS. So my grand total for legit, barely (if at all) used designer crap was under $13. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!The only reason I can't give it a million stars is because there's not a huge selection and there are definitely seasoned thrift snipers lurking who will try to snatch something lovely right out of your paws. Regardless, totally worth a look, and the dressing rooms are epic and even have mirrors!"
"This was my first time here. My wife ordered some things online for pickup. The first day we got here to retrieve our items, the store was closed for impending weather, and there was no note on the door. Some employees showed up and didn't know this location was closed either. Once we rescheduled our delivery and the store was open, I was heated by happy and cheering staff who was happy to help. Overall a really great experience"
"Bookguy needed a sport coat to wear to a wedding and didn't want to spend big bucks for this one event. Enter Goodwill Store. The store is very clean and well organized so it doesn't take a lot of searching through racks and racks of clothes. We could practically see the right area from the door. There was a surprising amount of sport coats organized by size. Some had traditional sizing like 40 but some were marked large, extra large etc. We were able to quickly find a suitable coat in excellent condition for only a few dollars. This was a much better deal than spending a couple hundred dollars at a men's clothing store. He also found a new pair of athletic shoes. Bookguy hates shopping for clothes so if there is a lesson to be learned for us from this experience it is this: think about clothing priorities and uses. Start at thrift stores to see if those requirements can be met. It's better for the environment too!"
"This store is really nice. Clean and organized. Great selection of clothing and whatever you can think of. We're just visiting from Louisville KY. I've gotta say, Nebraska Goodwill is where it's at. Lots of goodies and hidden treasures. Costumer service could have been friendlier. Plenty of fitting rooms. Located right off of Hwy 6."
"I dropped off some housewares. I arrived as they were unlocking the door. The gentleman was very kind and directed me where to unload and sent another gentleman out to assist me. They were very quick and kind, friendly!"
"We went to Cause For Paws during the Lincoln thrift crawl. Cause for Paws uses their proceeds to help pet owners of low income get veterinary care for their sick or injured pets at an affordable cost! Not only that, but they help other local and regional rescue groups as well! This shop sells really nice things which are in great condition! Some things are vintage and cost more, but sometimes there are sales. For instance, everything today that cost $10.50 or more was half off, so it's nice to know there are sales. There were so many things to look at from shoes and clothing, jewelry, knickknacks. Everything you could think of, you could probably find there. Also, there are a ton of nice prom dresses that people can buy and save money on something they'll wear just on e!"
"Okay...all you handy men and women out there, if you have not been to the Habitat ReStore; go there before buying anything else at the big box stores like Lowes, Home Depot and Menards. There is a little bit of everything in the store and when I was pricing tile, it beats the big box store prices hands down......there is limited selection, but you might hit the jackpot. Also a good selection of lighting fixtures, toilets and sinks, paint and various other bric- a brac. The employees are very helpful and are very willing to give advice on your home improvement projects. All proceeds go to fund the local Habitat for Humanity, so when you shop there, not only are you getting a good deal, but you are also contributing to the betterment of the community.Good shopping."
