Monica D. "Wow the yellow curry here is amazing. It was the right amount of spicy yet sweet from the coconut milk, and had a variety of vegetables in it. I ordered it with tofu which was great- not spongy at all. I got it delivered from uber eats, and it was prepared exactly on time as it said on the app. It came hot and with a side of rice, ready to eat!"

Jenni H. "What a delightful spot! Cool Basil boasts Thai, Chinese AND Japanese fare. There is something for everyone-- with a good many gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well.We popped in on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. The space is large with a ton of seating options-- you could definitely have a big group dine here, no problem. (They do NOT take reservations though, so plan accordingly.)The egg drop soup, sushi and crab rangoons were fan favorites. The day I came the special was the a crunchy pad thai-- I'd go with the traditional one, next time. (Word to the wise, be cognizant on the spice level! They do offer some very spicy options.)HOLY KIDS MENU. So, so many options -- all for about $8. Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Chicken Satay, Wings, Nuggets, Egg Noodles, Pad Thai and Fried Rice-- along with a drink and fruit. Wowza. My kids left full and happy.Pro Tip: Don't miss out on their lunch specials (M-F, 11-2:30PM). You can basically get a beef, chicken, pork, tofu or veggie dish for $10-12. What a steal!Overall, Cool Basil is a Clive must-have. Pop in any day of the week!"

Jezza Mei O. "It is now a tradition that whenever my partner and I are visiting a new state- we always try Thai food at least once during our trip. We are from California where there's an abundance of all types of Asian foods and we are always surprised with how good Thai food is outside of California. We usually order pad Thai (a good indicator of how good the restaurant is). We came in around 1 o'clock and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp and the Tom Ka Kai which has chicken, cilantro, lemon grass, pepper, tomatoes, tamarind, fish, coconut milk, chili paste and mushrooms- wow that description alone is making my mouth water. 5/5 would def recommend people to come check this place out!"

Nel P. "Don't let the location fool you...this restaurant serves really outstanding Thai food. They have a pretty good menu and a handful of selection for appetizers. I highly recommend their Mango Rangoon for starters. The Tohm Yum soup was good but really wished it was a little more creamier. Also can go wrong with their Red Curry, with your typical choice of spiciness level.Parking can be a little challenge, but paid street parking maybe a better option."

Kevin W. "First time here, won't be the last. We stopped by because we couldn't decide where to go and passed by realizing we had never been here after so many years. This is a nice, small, quaint place with soothing music. The staff were very friendly. Even the cook was serving and greeting people. We ordered Chicken Coconut Soup which is shared at the table. It arrived in a large volcano bowl, with flames shooting out. So cool! The fire soon calmed down and went out but it was able to keep the soup hot so the two of us could enjoy 2-3 bowls each. It was absolutely delish. A little sweet perhaps, but something we will order again. For an entree, we shared Lemon Grass Chicken which was good but it lacked the lemon grass flavor unless you gnawed on the large stems of lemon grass that were provided. The waitress advised us that their food is known for being spicy so she urged caution when ordering spiciness 1-10. We did 4 and we feel we could have gone to 6 with no problem. She did offer to us and other tables to bring out extra spice if we wanted to spice it up later. We did not take her up on the kind offer."

Monica C. "My first time here, glad I decided to treat myself to lunch. I think I like better than the place on saddle creek which has been my go to for years. But the last I went there I was very disappointed. The drunken noodles were on point, sweet, Spivey flavorful exactly what I am looking for in a drunken noodle. I also appreciated the fact that I didn't have to ask for chop sticks. The veg egg rolls were crispy, tasty and not grasp at all. I will be back again Tip: if you pay on cash, you get 4% off your bill."

Chad W. "Well just had Pla Too Thai for the first time. Wish I would have went there instead but I feel the food would have basically been the same. I ordered Chicken Larb. Which they call minced chicken. Now I asked for it very spicy. It was not spicy at all. I've been eating Thai food since I was 9 years old. Usually Larb is eaten with cabbage leaves and or lettuce leaves. There was none in mine. It usually has toasted rice powder in it and didn't get even a hint of it in the flavor. I had to add my own fish sauce and crushed Thai chilies. The Tom yum soup was pretty bland. Usually way more fragrant with lemongrass and galangal. Weirdly cucumbers in it. Strange."

Chris F. "Had the Burmese Pad Thai with Chicken and it was amazing. Def would have done more spice next time. The 1 was natural but tasty. Tried someone's beef at 5 and it had a nice lingering heat to it. Tried the spring rolls and they were odd without the peanut sauce. Would definitely go back to try the other pad thai meals."

Kari W. "Food and service is top notch. This husband and wife run hidden gem behind Bellevue Medical Center is my favorite go-to for Thai. They have a buffet Weds-Friday during lunch and it truly is the best way to experience all of their offerings. If you don't see what you want, she will make some and put it on the buffet! Their crab Rangoon and fried spring rolls are some of the lightest, crunchiest ones I have put in my mouth, and the pad Thai is always on point and not Americanized like many places. But my favorite: red curry or Basil Chicken is the best! You can TASTE AUTHENTICITY and love. Above the food, you have cute gifts you can purchase, but the service is too notch. He is so extremely nice, working the front and taking care of customers while she works the kitchen. You have got to go try this place. Decor isn't fancy. You are paying for the food here! They have struggled since Covid, so go stop in and show them some love. Guaranteed, this becomes a favorite spot for Thai food."

The restaurant is small & quaint, with just enough square footage and tables to be comfortable. This is the first stop straight off a flight from AZ, and my friend & I have already decided we're going to stop here before we fly home. 10/10."

Cheryl N. "Have worked in downtown Lincoln for 5 years and had no idea this place even existed. It is on West A which is about a 8-minute drive from campus. This place I'd call a hidden gem. I had shrimp pad Thai at level 6 spice and my friend had green curry at a 5. The dishes were fresh and so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. 6 is spicy. I would be 10 is FIRE! So, I will be back at this place. It is off the beaten path in a strip mall near an asian market and a gas station. Inside was clean and separated like if you were in an old house. It is a unique little Thai place that I hope you give it a shot. Or order some takeout from. Nice people. I'm just sad that I didn't take photos. If there was a time where they didn't have good food, it appears that things have changed. Excellent hidden gem."

David R. "Phoned in a to go order using the Savannakhet menu. It was the Thai restaurant that was here before Thai by Thai. Ordered the Thai style fried rice, added mixed vegetables, and added shrimp. Also a side Oder of crab Rangoon. The fried rice was loaded with fresh vegetables; cabbage, broccoli, snow peas, carrots, onions, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peas. 4 large shrimp grilled to perfection. The flavor was fantastic! The rice was cooked well and balanced. This place is our new favorite Asian restaurant in Fremont. The crab cheese Rangoon was shaped in tiny cups. With the mango dipping sauce it was very tasty as well. We will definitely come back here."

Service was friendly and prompt, and I was able to get a table right away. The restaurant is roomy and has plenty of seating. It was also decorated for the holidays when I visited. I ordered takeout another day and had no complaints. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for some yummy Thai food."

Lianna N. "This is more of a "to go" type ambience, and it seems unusually dead when I've been here for a working lunch or dinner, maybe I'm eating before the average rush time.Food here is good, and this is a sister restaurant of the same name as the "I love Pad Thai" at the L Street Market. (That location has more of a sit down vibe.)While Salween is still my favorite Thai in town, ILovePadThai does have a series of unique menu items- the rice sausage balls, and the spicy fried fish [fillet] dish compared to the usual 'whole fried fish' that is more typically on the menu.I think the prices here are comparable to the other places around town, and seems family run. I will continue to dine here as it is close to work and is consistent with their portions sizes, flavors."
