"A quaint little restaurant, but the food was amazing. I had the drunken noodles and a side of fried rice, and was very pleased. My wife got a shrimp noodle dish and hers s excellent as well."
"Had a great meal here at an almost empty restaurant on a Monday night. There were plenty of to go orders which did not surprise me since it is a true hole in the wall--amazing food and a more rustic environment! The red curry was great--plenty of flavor, and a lot of chicken/veggies! The portion was huge and so good that I finished most of it!I ordered a spicy level 4, and wish I would have gone with 6. It was much sweeter than I anticipated--likely due to the coconut milk. The chicken was great, and so were the peppers, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots in the bowl. I would definitely order this again, but get it spicier!"

"great spot for thai inspired dishes in grand island! in a town full of chain restaurants, this is a locally owned place serving up delicious food. you can order from the buffet or off their menu and they have great lunch specials too. no frills, quick and friendly service. great for a quick yummy bite!"
"First time here, won't be the last. We stopped by because we couldn't decide where to go and passed by realizing we had never been here after so many years. This is a nice, small, quaint place with soothing music. The staff were very friendly. Even the cook was serving and greeting people. We ordered Chicken Coconut Soup which is shared at the table. It arrived in a large volcano bowl, with flames shooting out. So cool! The fire soon calmed down and went out but it was able to keep the soup hot so the two of us could enjoy 2-3 bowls each. It was absolutely delish. A little sweet perhaps, but something we will order again. For an entree, we shared Lemon Grass Chicken which was good but it lacked the lemon grass flavor unless you gnawed on the large stems of lemon grass that were provided. The waitress advised us that their food is known for being spicy so she urged caution when ordering spiciness 1-10. We did 4 and we feel we could have gone to 6 with no problem. She did offer to us and other tables to bring out extra spice if we wanted to spice it up later. We did not take her up on the kind offer."
"Nice place and pretty good food! I love trying new local spots. This one I'd heard a lot about bc everyone raves about it. I like Thai food but there aren't too many Thai spots around. I like authentic and also to try new things. The atmosphere is very neat. It's located in one of Lincoln's most historic buildings the site of the old original courthouse. There's even a sushi place, salon, and apartments/condos. I was impressed by the layout. The service was good and food was pretty good too. No major complaints or issues. I had pad Thai with beef which was thinly sliced. It and the tofu were a tad overdone tbh. I liked the peanuts and sauce with the noodle's though very addicting. The blue water glasses are a signature thing along the blue lights around the restaurant and bamboo which is pretty neat. A good date spot and I'd probably come back again to try something else sometime! Their cocktails also looked good but I wasn't in the mood for one. :)"
"Thai Orchids is definitely are go to for delicious Thai in the neighborhood. We love calling in our order then picking up or even dining in. It's a cute hole in the wall mom and pop with excellent service, ample parking, and wonderful portion sizes! My favorite dish here is the Thai green curry with chicken but I've also tried their garlic chicken. Another favorite thing we've done is asked our server to choose their favorite dish for us to try and that's been a fun way to try something new! I highly suggest this! I am so happy that this restaurant was able to make it through the pandemic. It was incredibly challenging for many restaurants and such a sad thing to see when many had to close. I look forward to eating here again soon as they will always be our go to for Thai food!"
"What a delightful spot! Cool Basil boasts Thai, Chinese AND Japanese fare. There is something for everyone-- with a good many gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well.We popped in on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. The space is large with a ton of seating options-- you could definitely have a big group dine here, no problem. (They do NOT take reservations though, so plan accordingly.)The egg drop soup, sushi and crab rangoons were fan favorites. The day I came the special was the a crunchy pad thai-- I'd go with the traditional one, next time. (Word to the wise, be cognizant on the spice level! They do offer some very spicy options.)HOLY KIDS MENU. So, so many options -- all for about $8. Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Chicken Satay, Wings, Nuggets, Egg Noodles, Pad Thai and Fried Rice-- along with a drink and fruit. Wowza. My kids left full and happy.Pro Tip: Don't miss out on their lunch specials (M-F, 11-2:30PM). You can basically get a beef, chicken, pork, tofu or veggie dish for $10-12. What a steal!Overall, Cool Basil is a Clive must-have. Pop in any day of the week!"
"Very tasty pad thai with tofu and mango fried rice (the only dishes we've had so far). We enjoyed our meals and have already been back. They were also quite accommodating with special food needs (gluten free and vegetarian)."
"My new favorite Thai place!! So happy to have this business in this little town. The owner Honey is so nice and attentive. The food taste fresh and the servings are generous. You can add your preferred level of spice to any entree. I orders the pad Thai with shrimp and it came with a generous portion of big shrimp."
"Recently opened restaurant in the Twincreek shopping area. Occupies the storefront that formerly held Dickies Barbecue. Not overly large, only a total of 10 tables/booths and one waitress on the floor to cover it all. Menu is fairly extensive and the food is reasonably priced. Wife and I went with veggie egg rolls to start. 4 come out as a serving. Nice and crunchy with decent flavor. We then went with Pad Thai for our entrees. She had tofu and I had shrimp. You pick your spice level from 0 to 5. She went with a 2 and I got a 3. We both got a little spice and it was suitable for us. Portions were sufficient to have leftovers. Waitress was friendly. A good little place to check out."
"I heard about this new Thai restaurant in CB and had to give it a try ASAP.I showed up when they opened for dinner last night, at 5pm, and was immediately greeted and sat.I ordered the fresh spring rolls and the Drunken Noodles. The rolls and the Drunken Noodles came out in no time; (a few minutes apart). The spring rolls were really fresh but had too much carrot and lettuce and only had a couple little shrimps. I probably won't get these again, which is a shame. The Drunken Noodles were good. Every ingredient looked and tasted fresh. I got a 5, which is probably a tad too hot for me so I'll get a 3 next time. (They ask you to choose a hotness level, 1-10.)Next time I'll probably get the old tried and true Pad Thai but wanted to try something new this time. I'll definitely be going back to try their other dishes, as well as some curry and will update my review if anything changes."
"This is more of a "to go" type ambience, and it seems unusually dead when I've been here for a working lunch or dinner, maybe I'm eating before the average rush time.Food here is good, and this is a sister restaurant of the same name as the "I love Pad Thai" at the L Street Market. (That location has more of a sit down vibe.)While Salween is still my favorite Thai in town, ILovePadThai does have a series of unique menu items- the rice sausage balls, and the spicy fried fish [fillet] dish compared to the usual 'whole fried fish' that is more typically on the menu.I think the prices here are comparable to the other places around town, and seems family run. I will continue to dine here as it is close to work and is consistent with their portions sizes, flavors."

Was a bit tricky to find. We came from the south of the building and Apple Maps noted it was in the middle of the buildings. Glad once we finally located it. We asked to dine in and they had no issue; staff overall was friendly, prompt and welcoming. We shared fried spring rolls (5), satay chicken (3), and pad Thai -spice level 8/10 (4). Loved the sweet and sour sauce, and the pad Thai was just right with the spice. I would return to this restaurant for Thai again.

Really frustrated with this recent experience. If you read my prior reviews you know I'm an avid TE lover! However after our recent pick up, I'm left feeling upset and frustrated. We placed an order for pickup, with text promptsTo get us there within a window of time to redeem our food in a timely manner. However, we attempted to pick up our food 3x - from the parking lot coming up with nothing. We were sent 3+ text saying come now your food is ready, and then switched to "new time for pick up" ultimately we wasted so much time in the parking lot waiting for our food. There was no third party app to blame, simply a break down or communication despite having every opportunity to communicate. I love this food so much so I'm disheartened this is the case. We saved $18 not going through doordash, but ultimately what did it really cost? Our Saturday night.

Loveee this place. From out of town, visiting my parents, and this restaurant saved me a huge trip to the grocery or cooking all the food for the whole family. I was able to Order food ahead of time, even changed the time pick up to an earlier time and they accommodated it without hesitation. The food was delicious, my 4 and 2 year old ate it without complaint. They loved the crab Rangoon and the fried shrimp the most. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

The variety when you need it...WhatI went during lunch time and selected the lunch special of one appetizer and one lunch item. I got the Spring Rolls for appetizer. Definitely was not what I imaged, the description said it was steamed but i felt more like it was microwaved. The sauce on top was also quite different, not my fav. I asked for this to be made without eggs but it still came out with eggs. For those that are very particular with the dietary needs, please be careful. I then got the red curry with tofu. It was okay, mediocre. It got the job done in terms of filling my hunger but I wouldn't say it enticed my tastebuds.Environmentvery nice place. There are a lot of seating inside. Niceness of the staffSuper nice staff. I was able to put in my order with no issues. They also adjusted my lunch special pricing to compensate for bring the appetizer with the egg inside.DollarDecent. The lunch special was $13.95 which included an appetizer and main course.Yes?If I have no other option.

Really pleased with the experience here. They were busy and it looked like only one server, but he was a champ and got us everything we needed and fast. I usually go with red curry my first time at a new Thai place and did it at a spice level of 8--had a great kick and I may have overdid it but it was good. I also got the shrimp Tom ka soup which was almost a meal in itself. The curry was packed full of all the usual suspects-bamboo, bell peppers, kaffir lime leaves and tons of chicken. Both dishes were flavorful and we both had leftovers to go, especially after eating that hearty cup of soup. They do only take cash if your bill is under a certain amount so keep that in mind.

We've eaten here many times before but I always forgot to take pictures of our food before diving in! Food is always fresh and delicious, service is courteous and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing (unless you sit at the bar during football season ). Props to Cool Basil for keeping the quality of what they do at such a high level for so many years! As always, we'll be back!

"Well just had Pla Too Thai for the first time. Wish I would have went there instead but I feel the food would have basically been the same. I ordered Chicken Larb. Which they call minced chicken. Now I asked for it very spicy. It was not spicy at all. I've been eating Thai food since I was 9 years old. Usually Larb is eaten with cabbage leaves and or lettuce leaves. There was none in mine. It usually has toasted rice powder in it and didn't get even a hint of it in the flavor. I had to add my own fish sauce and crushed Thai chilies. The Tom yum soup was pretty bland. Usually way more fragrant with lemongrass and galangal. Weirdly cucumbers in it. Strange."
"Went out tonight for a meal. Been here before but it's been at least four years. The last time I went was over lunch. Iremember it being very good and peaceful as the dining room was not very crowded. Tonight for dinner they were doing some hard-core take out as people were coming and going through my entire meal.I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. I Got the spiciness of mine with a four out of 10. To be honest there was absolutely no spice in my meal but that's OK I would rather have it be under spiced than overspiced. As I remembered the pad Thai was very good and the portion was perfect. I left full and happy. Along with the pad Thai came a spring roll and another little dough type of item which the name escapes me. The service was fine as well. Good stuff."
"Wow the yellow curry here is amazing. It was the right amount of spicy yet sweet from the coconut milk, and had a variety of vegetables in it. I ordered it with tofu which was great- not spongy at all. I got it delivered from uber eats, and it was prepared exactly on time as it said on the app. It came hot and with a side of rice, ready to eat!"
"The ambiance is so inviting and cozy, and very clean. The food is the best Thai we have found around this area which is convenient, and everyone in the family was happy with their dishes. Service was also top notch, all around a great hidden spot. With the difference spice levels you can accommodate to whatever level you like, and are labeled appropriately. I got mild curry and it was delicious, my husband got level 3 and he was happily sweating. The kids had no spice and the flavor of their food was still amazing. My daughter loves boba and she said it was delicious, and they have a lot of flavors to choose from. You have to try this spot if you love Thai food!"
"I had lunch here on a cold day, and the red curry with tofu definitely hit the spot. The rice was shaped like a heart, I thought that was an adorable detail. Service was friendly and prompt, and I was able to get a table right away. The restaurant is roomy and has plenty of seating. It was also decorated for the holidays when I visited. I ordered takeout another day and had no complaints. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for some yummy Thai food."
"Stopped in on a weekday afternoon and ordered a simple drunken fried rice with chicken and a boba tea. Service was excellent, very friendly. Food was delicious, perfect spice level and vegetables were very fresh. Tea was great as well. Would definitely recommend."
"Have worked in downtown Lincoln for 5 years and had no idea this place even existed. It is on West A which is about a 8-minute drive from campus. This place I'd call a hidden gem. I had shrimp pad Thai at level 6 spice and my friend had green curry at a 5. The dishes were fresh and so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. 6 is spicy. I would be 10 is FIRE! So, I will be back at this place. It is off the beaten path in a strip mall near an asian market and a gas station. Inside was clean and separated like if you were in an old house. It is a unique little Thai place that I hope you give it a shot. Or order some takeout from. Nice people. I'm just sad that I didn't take photos. If there was a time where they didn't have good food, it appears that things have changed. Excellent hidden gem."
"Our first time dining here after hearing and reading so many good reviews. We weren't disappointed! We arrived right at 5pm when they just opened and were seated immediately. The restaurant is spotless and the wait staff super friendly and cheerful. We started with the Silver Bags and chicken dumpling appetizer. Both were delicious but the Silver Bags (a crab rangoon-type dish) were exceptional. We ordered a variety of entrees to try. The Panang chicken curry was perfectly spicy and very flavorful with lots of complexity. The chicken Pad Thai was perfect and the Crispy Chicken was tender and definitely crispy in a very tasty sauce. It was an excellent experience in the bright and tastefully decorated dining room. We can't wait to visit again!"
"Best Thai food in central Iowa! Great food. Great service! Carry out or eat in. We're lucky to have this restaurant in Adel."
"Had the Burmese Pad Thai with Chicken and it was amazing. Def would have done more spice next time. The 1 was natural but tasty. Tried someone's beef at 5 and it had a nice lingering heat to it. Tried the spring rolls and they were odd without the peanut sauce. Would definitely go back to try the other pad thai meals."
"My first time here, glad I decided to treat myself to lunch. I think I like better than the place on saddle creek which has been my go to for years. But the last I went there I was very disappointed. The drunken noodles were on point, sweet, Spivey flavorful exactly what I am looking for in a drunken noodle. I also appreciated the fact that I didn't have to ask for chop sticks. The veg egg rolls were crispy, tasty and not grasp at all. I will be back again Tip: if you pay on cash, you get 4% off your bill."
"Don't let the location fool you...this restaurant serves really outstanding Thai food. They have a pretty good menu and a handful of selection for appetizers. I highly recommend their Mango Rangoon for starters. The Tohm Yum soup was good but really wished it was a little more creamier. Also can go wrong with their Red Curry, with your typical choice of spiciness level.Parking can be a little challenge, but paid street parking maybe a better option."
"I love this new little neighborhood spot. The Red curry with Tofu is my go-to at any Thai restaurant, and their level 3 is just right. The service is friendly, and the place is nicely decorated. Food never takes too long to come out, and they have a nice selection for vegetarians. They're just up the hill from Shadow Lake, definitely worth checking out!"
"Delicious food, excellent service, and walkable to La Quinta. If it's ambiance you want, suggest getting takeout. It's basically a mom and pop restaurant in a strip mall with bright lighting. So come for the food, not the atmosphere :)"
"It is now a tradition that whenever my partner and I are visiting a new state- we always try Thai food at least once during our trip. We are from California where there's an abundance of all types of Asian foods and we are always surprised with how good Thai food is outside of California. We usually order pad Thai (a good indicator of how good the restaurant is). We came in around 1 o'clock and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp and the Tom Ka Kai which has chicken, cilantro, lemon grass, pepper, tomatoes, tamarind, fish, coconut milk, chili paste and mushrooms- wow that description alone is making my mouth water. 5/5 would def recommend people to come check this place out!"
"Everything here is absolutely delicious. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. The server (I think is also the cook?) and she was fantastic. So sweet and attentive. The restaurant is small & quaint, with just enough square footage and tables to be comfortable. This is the first stop straight off a flight from AZ, and my friend & I have already decided we're going to stop here before we fly home. 10/10."
"Well if anything tells you a restaurant is good like forgetting to take photos of the food, here's your sign :-) went one evening around 4:30 before the dinner rush, so I was able to order right away and we got our food in about 10-15 minutes. I don't expect a quick food delivery for good food, so the wait was perfect! I got the crispy pork vermicelli, the pork was indeed crispy, cooked to perfection, and still moist! My hubby had the combo pho and he said it was fantastic, no complaints there! We also tried the egg rolls and oh my, coming out hot and crispy and just the right size for a quick snack! I also ended up getting a Vietnamese coffee, because you can't go to a Vietnamese restaurant and not get coffee, right?! So even though it was almost 5 pm, I took some sips and it took all my willpower to save it for the next morning! It was just as good then, on my morning walk to give me a little boost of energy! What I'm trying to say is go here, fast."
"Love the location. Aksarben is my favorite spot to enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities The food was great, service was simply and happy. The only thing that was not enjoyable was there Mai Thai drink which surprised me .Happy to go back again. Love the fried rice"
"Phoned in a to go order using the Savannakhet menu. It was the Thai restaurant that was here before Thai by Thai. Ordered the Thai style fried rice, added mixed vegetables, and added shrimp. Also a side Oder of crab Rangoon. The fried rice was loaded with fresh vegetables; cabbage, broccoli, snow peas, carrots, onions, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peas. 4 large shrimp grilled to perfection. The flavor was fantastic! The rice was cooked well and balanced. This place is our new favorite Asian restaurant in Fremont. The crab cheese Rangoon was shaped in tiny cups. With the mango dipping sauce it was very tasty as well. We will definitely come back here."
"Food and service is top notch. This husband and wife run hidden gem behind Bellevue Medical Center is my favorite go-to for Thai. They have a buffet Weds-Friday during lunch and it truly is the best way to experience all of their offerings. If you don't see what you want, she will make some and put it on the buffet! Their crab Rangoon and fried spring rolls are some of the lightest, crunchiest ones I have put in my mouth, and the pad Thai is always on point and not Americanized like many places. But my favorite: red curry or Basil Chicken is the best! You can TASTE AUTHENTICITY and love. Above the food, you have cute gifts you can purchase, but the service is too notch. He is so extremely nice, working the front and taking care of customers while she works the kitchen. You have got to go try this place. Decor isn't fancy. You are paying for the food here! They have struggled since Covid, so go stop in and show them some love. Guaranteed, this becomes a favorite spot for Thai food."
"YUMMMM! Coming from the vibrant, diverse cuisine scene of Los Angeles CA & being new to this state, can I just say I am SO stoked to have found Sticky Rice! What a hidden gem found in the heartland of America; this place satisfied my craving for Thai food so entirely, I came back twice in a week and a half. (Devoured it too fast the first time for pictures). Sticky Rice is every bit authentic and delicious as any food, especially Thai food, made from the heart should be. I recommend ordering online over calling in your order because the cashier seems quite shy/softspoken and there is a convenient drive thru as this is not a sit down & eat establishment."
"My husband and I went here for dinner tonight. The server was so sweet and attentive. Great service. The restaurant is nicely decorated and there was soft piano music playing. The pad Thai was delicious and my husband ordered a seafood curry dish (I can't remember the name) that was very good as well. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. The menu is pretty extensive! I highly recommend giving them a try. If you don't like much spice make sure to dial it way down to a 1 or 2 max)"
"They only do to go when I went. Not sure if they opened up for dine in. Seemed really popular. Food was great!"
