"What a delightful spot! Cool Basil boasts Thai, Chinese AND Japanese fare. There is something for everyone-- with a good many gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well.We popped in on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. The space is large with a ton of seating options-- you could definitely have a big group dine here, no problem. (They do NOT take reservations though, so plan accordingly.)The egg drop soup, sushi and crab rangoons were fan favorites. The day I came the special was the a crunchy pad thai-- I'd go with the traditional one, next time. (Word to the wise, be cognizant on the spice level! They do offer some very spicy options.)HOLY KIDS MENU. So, so many options -- all for about $8. Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Chicken Satay, Wings, Nuggets, Egg Noodles, Pad Thai and Fried Rice-- along with a drink and fruit. Wowza. My kids left full and happy.Pro Tip: Don't miss out on their lunch specials (M-F, 11-2:30PM). You can basically get a beef, chicken, pork, tofu or veggie dish for $10-12. What a steal!Overall, Cool Basil is a Clive must-have. Pop in any day of the week!"
"I've eaten here a couple times when I was in town. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Daniel, back in the bar area, is an incredible server and bar tender. He made great suggestions as to what I should order. All the rolls I tried were incredible. My favorites we the firecracker, Godzilla, Esmeralda, and for something very different try the Aksarben roll."
"Lunch prices are very reasonable. 3 generously sized rolls are $15 - large and filling. If you check in via Yelp, you'll get a side of free edamame. Service can be slow as there's only one person doing double duty as host and server. There was a small wait before food arrived so the free edamame was appreciated."
"We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to have dinner here with a couple of other families. We had initially made a reservation for 9 people and when we arrived, we ended up having 10 people and they were able to accommodate us and seat us right away. We went with the Osaka For Two Hibachi Dinner which includes 6oz lobster tail, 4oz filet mignon, 5oz scallop and 8oz shrimp. My daughter wasn't that hungry so just ordered a roll. Once the hibachi grill started, she changed her mind and ended up having a little bit of everything from my hibachi plate. Everything we ordered was flavored well. I was a bit worried when I didn't see any garlic being grilled for the fried rice but it must have been included in the butter because that fried rice was almost as good as my favorite garlic fried rice from another hibachi restaurant. Our chef made dinner so much fun. He was incredibly entertaining and kept us laughing. All 10 of us agreed that this was our favorite meal of the trip! We can't wait for our next tournament in Omaha so we can try other dishes here!"
"Randomly caught my eye and I'm glad that I checked it out. What a variety of poke and some other snacks and drinks but poke is their forte. The service is fast, seating is great and the food is delicious, would love to go back."
"We went with another couple for a late lunch over the weekend, and we all walked away absolutely stuffed. We ordered 10 rolls, but I think I walked away eating one. The eggrolls were cooked fresh and tasted great, but what sushi our friend picked was delicious. I was shocked at how quickly the fresh rolled sushi came out. I will definitely be bringing our boys to get their fill of sushi, but I think I'll try to come during the weekday so it's a little bit cheaper."
"Took my family here during spring break. The food both sushi train and otherwise was phenomenal! The service was exceptional and quality of sushi was wonderful even though they weren't busy all of the items on the train were great. I would definitely come back for the awesome ambiance and food"
"Sakura Bana is at the top of my list for Sushi in Omaha. What you get here is authentic, unique and delicious rolls and dishes that you won't be able to find at other sushi areas around. They have unique flavors, like the Volcano Roll, and some more classic rolls like the Mango Roll. Whether you like sashimi or teriyaki chicken or a good California Roll you will be able to find something here.We got our food relatively quickly but the ambiance was simple, easy, and authentic to what we were going to eat. It wasn't anything flashy - it was just what we needed. All of the servers we interacted with were kind and helpful in picking our food and getting us what we needed.Give this one a try!"
"On our road trip through Lincoln, my husband wanted steak for our anniversary dinner. But I wanted something fun and different since most steakhouses feel formal and stuffy which wasn't my road trip mood. So we ended up here to satisfy what we were both looking for. My husband got the beef platter, with so much meat, which included: Yaki - Shabu Beef, Filet Mignon and Kalbi Short Rib. And I got the Koen Kirin which included: Gyoza (3 pcs), Hanger Steak, Top Sirloin, Spicy Pork Belly, Chicken Bulgogi and Sweet Potato. Each table has a grill to cook your meats how you like and had 3 dipping sauces to add that tasty final touch. This was the perfect spot for our anniversary dinner."
"The place for Birria! From quesadillas to fries, to nachos to ramen; they offer a wide array of how you can get their tender with slight spice Birria. There's also endless sushi and other dish options. Full bar but my favorite here are the Cantaritos--tangy with a chamoy Tajin rim. A large restaurant means no waiting for a table and the servers are always attentive."
"It was very good! We'll be back!! I loved the spicy side. Because of the peppers though they are crazy hot! Loved the house noodles and shrimp. The restaurant was very quiet and it was chill."
"The food is great and well presented. You can tell that an effort was involved in the preparation of the meal. The service was slow, but guessing that was due to every business's current issue; finding help. A great place to eat dinner even if you're not a sushi fan."

We've eaten here many times before but I always forgot to take pictures of our food before diving in! Food is always fresh and delicious, service is courteous and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing (unless you sit at the bar during football season ). Props to Cool Basil for keeping the quality of what they do at such a high level for so many years! As always, we'll be back!

You know how you enter a restaurant and it feels like you just inhaled fresh oxygen, there is great lighting, and everything is clean?!! This is how I felt when I opened the door. The AC pumping because they know you need amazing AC in Omaha in June.My coworker and I visited because she was in the mood for sushi and our good ole Yelp app sent us here! Thank you YELP! Of course, I needed a brew and ordered the Asashi. Lovely beer. I had 2 to be exact! Lol. We ordered edamame as an appetizer! That was the best edamame I've ever tasted! The black Hawaiian salt set it off and the legume was cooked perfectly! We ordered cooked rolls because neither of us are raw sushi people! We were not disappointed! When I am back next year, I will definitely make sure to visit again! 5/5

This has been the second year in a row that I have come to this place with a big group of 10 for my prom! They let us have the private room in the back and gave us a speaker to play music. The room was also decorated with lights and it was perfect! It made dinner really fun! Our waiter was super nice and attentive, even though our orders were a little all over the place. The food was super good (pictures included) and we had a lot of fun with the sake bombs. This is one of the best sushi spots in Lincoln for sure. We'll definitely be back!

Osaka is a semi upper scale hibachi and sushi restaurant. It's very near to the Alamo Drafthouse theater, which we frequent, so we decided to pop in before a movie with some friends. There is a side for hibachi, where you can book a reservation at one of the tables, and a side for regular dining where you can order an entree, sushi, or a hibachi meal without sitting on the hibachi side. There is also a bar between the two sides where you can sit if you just want a few cocktails and apps while you watch a game.We sat on the normal dining side, and it was bustling on a Saturday night. This didn't hurt the service, as our waiter was always checking on us to be sure we had drinks filled and our questions answered. Our group started with a few shared appetizers: -King Crab Rangoon: These were SO delicious. I was so used to normal rum of the mill Crab Rangoon so I had to try this version with King Crab, and I was not disappointed. -Baked Salmon: This was two huge lumps of salmon with snow crab, covered in a super tangy and tasty brown sauce. I am a huge fan of salmon, and this truly hit the spot for an appetizer. Highly recommend! We next order our entrees, and they each came with a side of rice, soup, and a salad:-The soup was a miso that was hearty and not super thin like misos can sometimes be.-The salad came with a sweet ginger dressing, and we all devoured ours. When our waiter brought the salads out, he somehow read my mind and asked if I wanted more dressing. That was odd - but I DID want more dressing, and just didn't have a chance to ask yet. -The rice was fried and came on the side of the hibachi entrees, with a bit of yum yum sauce. Delish!-The hibachi meals also come with two pieces of shrimp from the hibachi and those were grilled to perfection. Most of our group got the hibachi dinners that you can order in the normal dining side of the restaurant. My husband chose steak and lobster for his proteins. The lobster was to DIE FOR and super juicy and flavorful. I ordered the steak and salmon for my proteins. Again, I'm a big salmon fan so that was my favorite of the two. Very tender and flaky and went great with the yum yum sauce and grilling that had been done to it. The steak, however, was not my favorite. I had been asked how I wanted my steak cooked and I said Medium. But many of my steak pieces came out basically completely raw and inedible. It looked like a lot of the slices had been stuck together while cooking, so only one side got fired and not the inside of the stuck together pieces. Our vegetarian friend that was dining with us got the Tofu Teriyaki and she really enjoyed it. I had never had tofu that I liked, but she said I should try one piece because it had been cooked really well. I did try a bite and she was right. I may be a tofu convert as long as it is always cooked that well. Crispy on the outside and a nice chewiness on the inside. The only other negative is that it is pretty pricey compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. So there were a lot of positives, but the only things keeping it from being perfect were the raw steak issue and the high price we paid (especially for me not being able to eat half of my meal).

This is a gem if you like poke! You will get a similar ordering experience to Subway where you pick your base which is typically rice, add your protein, then your veg, and toppings. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the peppers mean business! If you like spicy, you'll get spicy here! This is quite possibly one of the healthiest and freshest fast food spots around!

This place is amazing. Don't let anyone shame you for all you can eat sushi. Apps are great. Rolls are great. Eat some tempura. Nigiri is great. Well worth the trip. Cheers to your business model. And, you can order a la carte off the menu if you won't eat all that much. Wonderful dining experience.

I recently dined at Yamato Sushi Train in Omaha and was excited to experience the unique conveyor belt sushi concept, where you pick your food as it rolls by. The ambiance was fun, and the variety of sushi offered was impressive. Each dish I tried was delicious and fresh, which made for an enjoyable meal. However, the service left something to be desired. Upon arrival, the server made an odd comment, suggesting we avoid using the digital menu because it was needed for a dinner group later on. This was a bit off-putting and didn't make us feel particularly welcomed. Additionally, the server only checked on us once during the entire meal, which left us feeling somewhat neglected.Overall, while the food at Yamato Sushi Train was excellent, the service experience could use some improvement. If the staff were more attentive and welcoming, it would elevate the dining experience to match the quality of the food.

"You know the staff is nice and friendly. I would say the shrimp fried rice. Is very delicious they give you a lot of food. It's even good reheated the next day"
"This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always fantastic! We usually go for lunch because they have good lunch specials. My favorite is the bento box. It has multiple customizable options. You get choices of protein,( panko, teriyaki, or katsu) plain or fried rice, appetizers, it comes with a few pieces of the California roll as well as their clear soup, which I adore. The soup is so simple yet so flavorful. The lunch hibachi is really great too. It comes with your choice of protein, lots of veggies, fried rice, soup and salad. The salads are pretty simple, they consist primarily of iceberg lettuce, and you have the option of ranch or ginger dressing. I recommend the ginger because it is infinitely better. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the service can be hit or miss depending on your server. They are all very nice, but sometimes they forget your soup or never come back by to check on you after they drop off the food, things like that. For the most part though, they do a great job!"
"First time to Ahi....what a menu to select from! A combination of sushi...Chinese...Raman..hibachi...and more! Had the Mongolian Beef and white rice which was excellent. Wife had the garlic shrimp which was also very tasty. The waitress was very nice and the place was clean. Looks more like a bar & grill than a fine restaurant. Did not have an alcoholic drink during lunch but there were many that look good to me. Worth a try in my opinion!"
"I felt the "Aloha way" when I experienced this sushi/poke bowl/boba spot for the first time! The employees were so patient, friendly and helpful with customizing our delicious order and let us try some Thai tea! The meal presentation looked amazing and tasted very fresh & healthy! They even had delightful holiday decorations and music playing, along with the sweet Hawaiian vibe! Mahalo, Oma'Oma'o!"
"This was a nice choice for dinner. Chinese/Japanese food in Nebraska??? But Yes!The OMG roll is a must!"
"My new sushi destination. Las Vegas roll rocks as does the spicy tuna. Fresh, very good quality and excellent value. One of my favorite spots in Papillion."
"We did sushi takeout for a special celebration and LOVED EVERYTHING! So fresh! Well done, Kinja! We have never tried a scallop roll and we're surprised by how delightful it was. Highly recommend!"
"I love their selections. The staff is usually friendly and attending. The only disappointing thing is that I wish their selections were a little bit more diverse"
"Great food, if you can actually get what you ordered! We ordered ahead for pickup, and waited at the restaurant over forty minutes from the quoted pickup time. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a busy night, but we found out when we got home that we failed to get what we actually ordered. I ordered a chicken and vegetable dish, and received a half full dish with shrimp, celery, and carrots? Called the restaurant only to be told that the person answering could not help us and a manager needed to call us back.. which took another thirty minutes. Said it's a glitch with their online ordering system. Do yourself a favor and call in to order, and bring your patience."
"Went with my friend and fellow elite Pam for some sushi. They have a special on Thursdays but 2 get 1 free sushi roll. Service was great and the place is super cool because of the different dessert stands they have inside but the sushi was ok. One of the rolls was fresh and delicious but the other two were fried and a little over done. I love eel but the roll I order with eel was definitely over cooked and fried. Other than that we had a great time and enjoyed our selves. We will have to go again and maybe try some fresher sushi rolls."

"Have worked in downtown Lincoln for 5 years and had no idea this place even existed. It is on West A which is about a 8-minute drive from campus. This place I'd call a hidden gem. I had shrimp pad Thai at level 6 spice and my friend had green curry at a 5. The dishes were fresh and so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. 6 is spicy. I would be 10 is FIRE! So, I will be back at this place. It is off the beaten path in a strip mall near an asian market and a gas station. Inside was clean and separated like if you were in an old house. It is a unique little Thai place that I hope you give it a shot. Or order some takeout from. Nice people. I'm just sad that I didn't take photos. If there was a time where they didn't have good food, it appears that things have changed. Excellent hidden gem."
"I was given a tip that this place was a gem, and had to promptly try it! I got the classic milk tea with boba, and half sugar. It was perfect. So yummy. They also have games and just seems like a nice place to chill with friends or family. Side note: There was a group there eating sushi, and it looked amazing."
"Phoned in a to go order using the Savannakhet menu. It was the Thai restaurant that was here before Thai by Thai. Ordered the Thai style fried rice, added mixed vegetables, and added shrimp. Also a side Oder of crab Rangoon. The fried rice was loaded with fresh vegetables; cabbage, broccoli, snow peas, carrots, onions, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peas. 4 large shrimp grilled to perfection. The flavor was fantastic! The rice was cooked well and balanced. This place is our new favorite Asian restaurant in Fremont. The crab cheese Rangoon was shaped in tiny cups. With the mango dipping sauce it was very tasty as well. We will definitely come back here."
"The price is good but the sushi isn't the greatest quality, the cheesecake dessert is yummy but it used to be a lot bigger. The waitress we had was very nice though. The seafood boil was pretty good though not the best I've ever had but it was better than the sushi I'd say. I do like how they have the all you can eat sushi though."
"Well this place is way better than the AYCE sushi place downtown Tokyo sushi ? by a landslide but not sure if it was because it was Xmas or because they want you to fill up but service was slow and they would not bring out everything you ordered . Still gave it four stars because they were so friendly, warm and welcome even if aforementioned was not up to par. Of course the kids were highly entertained by the robo kitty server that brought the majority of our food . In general the space is super clean and modern with cute decor. As of Xmas day 2024 kids at least three and under were free of charge and my six year old they charged $13.99. All the adults were $23 or $24.99 for all day dinner . My parents loved it I think mostly because they included sashimi. So yep we will probably be back!"
"Ninja is the kind of hole in the wall sushi joint Lincoln needs. There sushi is as good as Blue, but cheaper and faster. Oh they deliver too. Also they do chinese food. I've never tried it but they make it."
"This place is a hidden gem in Omaha! As you walk in, you can tell it was going to be a relaxed place for a family lunch. The owner is from Hawaii and delivers authentic, large portions of Hawaiian food. The Honolulu garlic chicken was a great blend of garlic and sweet flavors. The macaroni was a favorite with a light mayo as the base. We could have shared this dish but I was happy for leftovers. The staff and owners came over to ask how our meal was and couldn't have been more friendly!"
"Love this spot at Flagship Commons. This is a Blue Sushi concept, so you know it's going to be good! They pretty much offer everything you could want when it comes to sushi and asian fusion. It's just as spendy as Blue but with no sunday happy hours. They're rolls are made in front of you which is cool and they have all the fixings to make the bowls. I usually get the salad place, but sometimes you get a real hankering for sushi, and it's great to enjoy some before or after shopping."
