"Amazing steaks and amazing service. I came on a Tuesday evening with 3 co-workers. There was plenty of seating available, but I heard it gets packed on the weekends. The dining room is large, with velvet booths and private rooms. The menu ranges from apps, meats, entrees, toppers, sides and dessert. They also bring fresh bread to start. I ordered a Ribeye medium on its own. It had great marbleization and fantastic flavor. The sides were incredible as well. Highly recommend the brocollini, mashed potatoes and the Brussel sprouts. The four of us were too full to finish our steaks and sides. The menu is on the pricey side, but can be worth is for a work meal or a nice night out."
"The service, food and overall atmosphere was top notch! My steak was cooked to perfection. The deviled eggs with bacon was a hit as an appetizer! We will definitely be back!"

"This is an Omaha staple I have wanted to cross off my list for years! As you walk up to the restaurant entrance and are 10 feet from the doors I began to hear music with monk chanting overlayed on top of it. This was such a fun touch to setting the mood for the dining experience before even entering the restaurant itself. we arrived around 11:30 am on a Friday and were immediately seated. All the seating options have phenomenal decor surrounding them, some have you surrounded by a library of old books others have you seated in a wine cellar-esque room with a warm fireplace. I give the monk-themed ambiance a 10/10 rating. I was a fan of the lunch menu options, I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich Au Jus with a fully loaded sweet potato. My mother took a trip to the salad bar and ordered some French Onion Soup. Both meals came with homemade, warm rolls-their bread made in-house is amazing (I could have eaten a whole loaf in one sitting). Service was speedy and staff was super friendly. Portions and prices were reasonable."
"I normally don't like steak but I thought this steak was really really good. Thai is Warren Buffet's favorite steak house. I can see why! There's a booth of his seat. People reserve it so they can sit in his booth!"
"V Mertz has the hands down best tasting menu in Omaha. The food is always perfect, and the wine pairings are spot on. It's a beautiful location, especially if you can sit in the pathway. Our server last night, Simon, was on top of everything, kind, and knowledgeable. 10/10"
"You could just eat here, but for the prices it's more like a special night out. Enjoy the show and plan a party of people. You can have 10 at a station or reserve two connected stations. Whatever you do, don't be a bozo; make a reservation! And if you get in their email list they'll send you coupons every now and again. The food is good but what you're paying for is the show. This is a large, flat hibachi cook top. The cook will make jokes, entertain you with skills, and flip shrimp into your mouth. You will have a separate server to bring you drinks, your traditional Japanese starter soup and salad, and coordinate the "Banzai" birthday (for an extra $6 included the gong ringing, photo, and cheesecake dessert (yes this use to be free, but not any more)). Note: This isn't a place you sit and talk with your loved ones. This is a place for showmanship. Kobe is loud as all the chefs are doing their own thing and families who are in their "down time" - between the show and paying the bill - are yelling across the hibachi to be heard, plus the special occasion gong (which happens at least once at each time). Other than that, the food is good and we go annually for my younger son's birthday. "Banzai!""
"We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to have dinner here with a couple of other families. We had initially made a reservation for 9 people and when we arrived, we ended up having 10 people and they were able to accommodate us and seat us right away. We went with the Osaka For Two Hibachi Dinner which includes 6oz lobster tail, 4oz filet mignon, 5oz scallop and 8oz shrimp. My daughter wasn't that hungry so just ordered a roll. Once the hibachi grill started, she changed her mind and ended up having a little bit of everything from my hibachi plate. Everything we ordered was flavored well. I was a bit worried when I didn't see any garlic being grilled for the fried rice but it must have been included in the butter because that fried rice was almost as good as my favorite garlic fried rice from another hibachi restaurant. Our chef made dinner so much fun. He was incredibly entertaining and kept us laughing. All 10 of us agreed that this was our favorite meal of the trip! We can't wait for our next tournament in Omaha so we can try other dishes here!"
"Came in for a late dinner with my family. First impression was that it's an upscale bar. We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and gave us some great recommendations. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be making a return trip! My only regret was not leaving enough room to try the bananas foster, which we enjoyed watching be prepared table-side for a few other guests."
"My husband and I came to town to celebrate our anniversary. After speaking with a few locals and the staff from our hotel we knew Omaha Prime would be the best place for our anniversary dinner. When we came in for our reservation we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary. We ordered a round of drinks and the Chilean Sea Bass, the 14 oz KC strip steak, and a baked potato to share. The sea bass was absolutely delicious and the garlic sauce was to die for. My husband raved on his steak and potatoes as well. The service was absolutely top tier, and we were gifted cheesecake for an anniversary dessert. I truly loved everything about this place. If you find yourself in the area we highly recommend stopping in for your next steak dinner."
"We stopped here for dinner when we were in the area based on a friend's recommendation. First impression from the outside (see picture) and confirmed once inside was of a 70s-era steakhouse (dark, no windows & dark decor). That is not a knock / negative comment, just an observation.Once inside, it was quite crowded but we were quickly welcomed by Joe the bartender who asked our names and then repeated them several times before we left. I started off by ordering a Brandy Alexander ice cream drink (see picture) and loved it.We enjoyed the table bread, which included plenty of available butter (see picture). My wife overheard some other patrons talking about how good the onion rings were. Since the large is only $1 more than the small we ordered a large (see picture) and both thought they were good. The best part of the meal was the salad with the house creamy garlic dressing (see picture) - both the dressing and the croutons were delicious. For our main course we went with the London Broil (see picture) - which unfortunately was the weakest part of the meal. The slice laying on top was medium rare as ordered (see picture), but the other slices bordered on medium-well to well done. As you might expect, those other pieces were dry, tough and lacking flavor. When the owner stopped by our table (before we got our main course), he did mention that there was a substitute chef that night - so this dish might be better on another night.Food: 4Atmosphere: 3Value: 3Service: 5If you found this review helpful, please click to show your support."
"Drove up to Round the ben' this weekend and let me tell you----- I had a tough conversation here with my co-worker, Edith, here, and the ambiance, here, made the tough conversation, softer. That wasn't the only soft thing... those hush puppies were softer than the bottom of a new born. Good ribs too."
"I don't live in Omaha, and I don't know much about the city, but when I was researching where to host dinner for my board of directors gathering there a friend recommended that I look at Cascio's Steak House. He told me that it is "an institution" in the city, part of the Little Italy neighborhood, and have been operating in Omaha since 1946. We gave them a look, and spent a few weeks arranging things with the wonderful staff there. We had an easy time working with the reetaurant to get things scheduled. Tonight, we had our dinner and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was old school charm. It felt like being an Italian family gathering. Things were casually, tastefully presented making everyone feel welcome and at ease, and letting us move at our own pace, like a family gathering. We had steaks of several kinds, chicken parmigiana, and salmon as entrée choices. I had the chicken parm and it was fantastic. The steaks were beautiful. Everyone enjoyed the food. For dessert, I don't even know what else was offered because as soon as I saw tiramisu, I picked it and moved on. So good. I want to give a special recognition to the crew there. Lacey and Alfie were wonderful, and took care of us professionally and kindly. I learned a lot about the history of the Cascio family's restaurant from the displays on the front hall, and recognized Alfie as a younger man in the photos. During our event, one of our group had an emergency and needed to leave. We were working to arrange a ride via Uber as none of us had vehicles in town, but Alfie borrowed Lacey's car and was kind enough to deliver this customer to their hotel. Then, back to serving us. A kind gesture and indicative of the service and friendliness w experienced while enjoying a great dinner. I really can't say enough about the very charming experience that we had at Cascio's. I'm very thankful and appreciative, and I had a wonderful meal. I recommended highly. Also, if you are there during the college World Series, make sure you see Alfie's collection of autographed team shirts from all of the teams that have eaten there during CWS and over Cascio's many many years."

The best steakhouse I have been to in a while! I found this place while traveling to the area for work and it did not disappoint! I had the best ribeye I've ever had and the bartender who served me was very friendly. A very cool place to go to! The bar was beautiful and has a huge wall of Ryes and Whiskeys.

Service was fine. Ambiance was noisy. And the food was terrible. Over 40% of our meals needed to be sent back for being over-cooked or under-cooked. And I RARELY send food back. The broccoli was the best thing I ate all night - and it was just broccoli.... I've eaten here dozens of times (it has been a while) - I hope this isn't the new normal, though I won't be back. Worst meal I've had in Omaha in over 5 years.

Phenomenal!!! I ordered the queen cut prime rib and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had - extremely tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. They have daily specials, a fresh and varied salad bar, and a generous menu of quality homestyle cooking, not to mention the insanely affordable prices. The ambiance made for a unique dining experience. Gregorian chants were playing outside. When you step through the heavy wooden doors, you enter into another world of subdued grandeur. Every room is designed to mimic a different section of a monastery and the details are authentic, down to the selection of real aged classic books on the full wall of shelves. What stood out to me was the patience and kindness of the wait staff. I had lost my voice and was dining alone, communicating through writing. Never once did I feel overlooked or condescended to. The waitress even joked with me at the end! They are genial on the phone as well and let me know they can store your luggage safely while you dine. I left stuffed to the brim with delicious steak and warm hospitality. A must-visit in Omaha.

I will admit, I tried to get a reservation at the Drover and could not which is why we ended up here! I ordered a whiskey marinaded ribeye for that reason. This was a bit sweeter than I expected it to be but, the meat was very tender and easy to cut. Next time, I would probably try the Filet. Not 100% on par with what I have had elsewhere in Omaha but, not bad by any means. I had a crème brûlée for dessert which was delicious! Perfectly broiled top and very creamy/vanilla inside. Would for sure order this again!

A must do for any special occasion or a nice dinner out. In my opinion, reasonably priced for the quality. Would recommend the Nebraska steaks hands down! Service was attentive, took care of my celiac sister and explained what she could and could not have. Personalized menus for my mom's birthday and they were willing to split the bill in a complex way as well. Overall anything here you'll enjoy I'm sure. A top 10 restaurant in any market and a delight for the Omaha area to have. Don't sleep on this classic.

Osaka is a semi upper scale hibachi and sushi restaurant. It's very near to the Alamo Drafthouse theater, which we frequent, so we decided to pop in before a movie with some friends. There is a side for hibachi, where you can book a reservation at one of the tables, and a side for regular dining where you can order an entree, sushi, or a hibachi meal without sitting on the hibachi side. There is also a bar between the two sides where you can sit if you just want a few cocktails and apps while you watch a game.We sat on the normal dining side, and it was bustling on a Saturday night. This didn't hurt the service, as our waiter was always checking on us to be sure we had drinks filled and our questions answered. Our group started with a few shared appetizers: -King Crab Rangoon: These were SO delicious. I was so used to normal rum of the mill Crab Rangoon so I had to try this version with King Crab, and I was not disappointed. -Baked Salmon: This was two huge lumps of salmon with snow crab, covered in a super tangy and tasty brown sauce. I am a huge fan of salmon, and this truly hit the spot for an appetizer. Highly recommend! We next order our entrees, and they each came with a side of rice, soup, and a salad:-The soup was a miso that was hearty and not super thin like misos can sometimes be.-The salad came with a sweet ginger dressing, and we all devoured ours. When our waiter brought the salads out, he somehow read my mind and asked if I wanted more dressing. That was odd - but I DID want more dressing, and just didn't have a chance to ask yet. -The rice was fried and came on the side of the hibachi entrees, with a bit of yum yum sauce. Delish!-The hibachi meals also come with two pieces of shrimp from the hibachi and those were grilled to perfection. Most of our group got the hibachi dinners that you can order in the normal dining side of the restaurant. My husband chose steak and lobster for his proteins. The lobster was to DIE FOR and super juicy and flavorful. I ordered the steak and salmon for my proteins. Again, I'm a big salmon fan so that was my favorite of the two. Very tender and flaky and went great with the yum yum sauce and grilling that had been done to it. The steak, however, was not my favorite. I had been asked how I wanted my steak cooked and I said Medium. But many of my steak pieces came out basically completely raw and inedible. It looked like a lot of the slices had been stuck together while cooking, so only one side got fired and not the inside of the stuck together pieces. Our vegetarian friend that was dining with us got the Tofu Teriyaki and she really enjoyed it. I had never had tofu that I liked, but she said I should try one piece because it had been cooked really well. I did try a bite and she was right. I may be a tofu convert as long as it is always cooked that well. Crispy on the outside and a nice chewiness on the inside. The only other negative is that it is pretty pricey compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. So there were a lot of positives, but the only things keeping it from being perfect were the raw steak issue and the high price we paid (especially for me not being able to eat half of my meal).

Really enjoy the food and the ambiance. I was only disappointed that I couldn't try the candied pork as it was sold out for the day.

"Absolutely an incredible experience. There's truly no place else in Lincoln like Rodizio. My husband and I spent Valentine's Day here, and we were more than happy by the end of the evening. They had a salad bar with far more than just salad, but nonetheless incredibly delicious options. Additionally, their service and foods were nothing like anything we have ever had before. Every single dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. The meats were all top notch in quality and rareness/cooked(ness). We wanted to keep eating so badly, but we were super full so we had to call it quits earlier than we wanted to. We both left telling each other it was one of our new favorite spots. Though the price is a bit steep, we felt it was absolutely worth every penny and will definitely look forward to our next visit. I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone we know. I'd like to add after reading other reviews that we had a lot of different options of meats come by our table while we were there and got to experience just about everything. From someone who loves to grill and cook, and is extremely familiar with rarity, this place nailed it."
"We took our young boys here while in town and I'm so glad we chose The Monarch! What a gem of a restaurant!!! The decor is absolutely beautiful. Dark sultry walls with beautiful warm lit sconces and chandeliers. The array of live plants scattered about makes you feel like you are dining in an atrium set back in the 1920's. The wall murals completed the vibe. Seriously a very intimate space. We ordered Shirley temples and mock-tails to start and ordered the calamari and balsamic brussel sprouts for our appetizers and all were delicious. Our boys each ordered the steak and pommes frites and I ordered the Cowboy ribeye and my husband ordered the dry aged ribeye special with the garlic jalapeño compote. My husband and I enjoyed our steaks but we were both shocked at how amazing our boys sirloins were. Like..... ahhhhh is that even possible? As steak lovers, we've had them all but these sirloins were, chefs kiss!!!! I cannot recommend the sirloin enough. Don't sleep on this one!!! Our server was very attentive and personable and the chef came out to ask how everything was tasting. This to me shows he prides himself on his work and added to the evening. The details will ALWAYS make good impressions. It was fun to show our boys what mom and dad do on date nights and they were excited to be a part of it. We traveled to Omaha from Milwaukee WI area and I'm really happy we stumbled upon this absolute gem. Thank you for a wonderful evening for my family."
"Some of the best flavored meats I've had in years. Food always comes out hot or close to it. Some of the workers (Porter, for one) were so nice, fun, and accommodating! I will visit every time I'm in town!! Wish they'd add lamb to the menu, but so many meats to choose from! Yum!!"
"My husband wanted to take me to a nice date night so we picked this restaurant because it isn't a chain. I have been to so many restaurants with $$$$ next to the name and this is the first restaurant that matched its claim. The Committee Chophouse did NOT disappoint!! Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious and the service was spectacular. We started with their Oysters on the Half Shell, which was incredibly fresh, and Smoked Pork Belly, which tasted amazing and paired well with the salad that came with it. For our main, we split the 56oz Tomahawk Ribeye and the Black Tiger Prawn. The Tomahawk was so tender and absolutely the best steak I have ever had. The Tiger Prawns were cooked perfectly, very plump and juicy. All in all, an amazing dinner that we both enjoyed!"
"Quite simply a marvelous experience in fine dining. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy whileThe service impeccable. The dinner for two date night bundle is a flat out bargain. The salmon with risotto is delicious. And the crème brûlée is addictive. I'mGlad I rediscovered this gem of a restaurant."
"A buddy from work recommended Jerico's for dinner and when I say recommend, I mean he said, "Jerico's is where you are going for dinner."A true hidden gem, do not let the adjacent freeway and strip mall setting deceive. I repeat, do not let the exterior setting turn you down. The sign on the door reads, "Gentlemen, kindly remove your hats for dinner." I still walked in wearing a Hoodie and sweats, having just flown in from CA.Okay okay. You're here for the food. So I'll tell you.The dinner roll was basically a delicious sweet cloud with a soft yet crispy exterior. Spread that butter, which amazingly did not come out frozen solid, and go to town. The prime rib chili, stupid good. Meaty, full of beans and tomatoes. Hearty and warmth are here in abundance. The garlic mashed potatoes, woah! No further description needed. The steak. Oh that steak. I'm sitting here stuffed full, still wishing I'd ordered a bigger ribeye. Medium rare, basically melted in my mouth. Almost untouched except a sprinkling of salt to bring all that natural beefy goodness to the top. This is my new favorite place in Omaha. Expect to see me here at least once during every trip to this city."
"I had lunch with my bosses. The parking lot was full, so we expected the restaurant to be packed. It wasn't. The party room was full, but the main restaurant was not. We were seated right away, greeted by our server, and she took our order. She provided good service throughout our time there. While the conversation was great the food was disappointing. I say that because it's been years, like mid 2000's. At the time the food was good. We would get together as a family and have dinner. As I digressed, the steak had no flavor. Not even the sauce. The fries were a mix of fresh and stale. The dessert was good. That was a plus."
"We have stopped their coming and going. Food has always been good. But folks your mens rest room was pretty bad with urine small everywhere. Got out the ammonia and hot water and scrub the walls and the floor. 409 won't get rid of the smell. The walls and around the entry door doesn't look like they have been touched in months. Take that carpet in front of the mens urnal and replace it or get rid of it. Don't let the rest rooms draw the place down. We come by and eat often."
"The black Crowes, an interesting place in Beatrice Nebraska more of an upscale restaurant with a separate bar to sit out, having been in both bar and booth for different times different meals I would definitely recommend the barThe brie appetizer is only half a wheel of brie with jam on the top. Serve with 6 to 8 Cristini's delicious, but not very much of it especially if you would expect the entire Brie slice. The cocktails here are the thing to rave about some of the most interesting and delicious cocktails ever The next time I went, we sat in a booth for a special event meal which nobody seem to care about was our special event. You're serve the wrong entrées then, by the time we got our entrées, they were cool, it best kind of glue it like consistency, not very appetizing . No apologies from the wet stuff whatsoever."
"Just ate there tonight. Our waiter was excellent Armini, I hope I spelled that right. I got steak and shrimp, the special. I ordered medium well and it came a little more cooked than it should of been. The waiter asked right when he brought it if it was cooked right and I told him yes. I didn't want to send it back and wait. It tasted GREAT!!!! Tender, juice, and well flavored. Next time I will ask for medium. Asparagus simple and good. Salad with ranch, YUM! Perfect! My husband got the king crab legs and he loved them. Huge and very good flavor. His side, macaroni and cheese he said had no flavor. His salad was a Caesar and very good he said. Moscow mules are so good and I had pineapple margarita, also good. Chocolate cake was so big and good. We will be back!"
"And here I thought Korean BBQ was the only kind of food you grilled yourself... Boy, was I wrong! An Iowan local recommended this restaurant to my family and it was quite the experience. We patiently wait for our server to take us to the counter, where there are various cuts of huge steaks, pork, skewers, and skillets to choose from! I chose to get the classic ribeye (11 oz) and this was personally enough for me to share with another person... Now here's the fun part: there's a MASSIVE grill in the back of the restaurant and you just help yourself! Season your meat and slap it on the grill with some tongs. For sides, I got a macaroni skillet and brussel sprouts to grill. They also have Texas Toast that you butter yourself and put on the grill! Each cut of meat comes with the potato bar, baked beans, and salad! This restaurant also has a variety of alcoholic beverages and mocktails! I got the Breakfast at Tiffani's, which was delicious but REALLY SWEET. Definitely had to dilute that with water."
"The atmosphere, my service and my food were all amazing!!! Thank you to the cooks for my excellent meal. Everything was perfect. From the salad, prime rib, crab legs, shrimp cocktail etc.Thank you to the server(Corey) for making me smile. I will definitely be back along with my friends and family. Loved it"
"This place is on the far opposite side of town from me so in combination with their limited hours I don't make it here too often. It's always packed and the clientele tends older so it can be really loud inside but that doesn't bother me personally too much. Most of the time, my service is outstanding, very friendly and fast and accommodating, but I did have one of the singular worst service experiences on one visit here. Thankfully that was a fluke! The food is fine. Not exemplary, but good enough. I don't expect much out of my breakfast as long as it's satisfying and this does the job."
"So far so good! He ordered gizzards. I had one and they are definatly his thing today. God. But I had the soup, a beef mushroom and corn soup. Wow it was fabulous!!! I could have just had that in a big bowl!! He has a burger coming and me chicken fried chicken. Ok the verdict is in! Fabulous food and service. We had a new gal as our server and she kept coming with the drinks. My chicken fried chicken half order was perfect for me. One breast over the red smashed potatoes and the gravy over it. The spices apples was a good finish!! The boys burger was on a chibatta bun and was super good as well. Coming here again"
"I went to The Tam yesterday with my daughter. It's probably been five years or more since I've been, and I was hoping it would live up to my memory. Did it!The inside is nothing like you expect from the outside. It's nice and clean and has a great atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and checked on us just the right amount to make sure we always had what we needed without being a bothersome presence. Perfect service. Then the Burger, one of the places that knows exactly how to execute on a delicious burger. They have a big menu with lots of options that always look tantalizing, but I keep going back to their various burgers because they do them so well I can't imagine straying from what I know would be perfection. I have probably tried most of their burgers over the years but the patty melt and the blue cheeseburger are the standouts in my opinion. They also have really good fries. I'm sure they're just frozen box store fries, but they cook them perfectly and have a great seasoning salt for them.Justin, all around great experience that over the decades of intermittent visits stays consistently wonderful every time. A solid addition to your roster if it's not already on there."
"Grrrreat food and service. Owners are always and superbly thinking of their customers. Very homey feel, which I love."
"I have only ever been here a few times. Everytime I come with local family who talk very highly. Everytime I try something new. Everytime I am completely satisfied with my food, the family abieance, but this time I felt like I also had a server who really cared a lot about her job. Anita told us she had only had the position for a short time, but I can tell she is already on her way to being a pro. She was prompt and checked on us several times. I was really pleased and I will always recommend J's. Next time we will have to try the Pizza, we've had everything else."
"I was in town visiting family and decided to try the Olive Branch for the first time. I don't know why I waited so long! We went towards the end of their lunch on a Saturday, so it wasn't very busy. My mom and I both had the gyro salad, which was incredible!! I heard they grow their own vegetables, and you can tell. I knew right away those tomatoes were something special. The bread bowl it comes in was AMAZING. We also ordered the San Francisco fries as an appetizer and oh my gosh SOOOO good. They're all I can think about. We'll for sure be back when we return to Fontanelle/Greenfield to visit family."
"As the director of the Route 6 Tourist Association (Iowa Division) I do a lot of traveling back and forth across Iowa. We favor the mom & pop businesses because the food tends to be better, they have charisma, they are unique, and because the money spent stays local. For me to recommend a place, the food has to be good, and it's a bonus if they have a unique atmosphere. The Wiota Steakhouse comes through in spades on both of these counts. Set in an old 1800's era wood framed building that used to be the Wiota Drugstore, the Wiota Steakhouse reminds me of those old places my dad used to take me to. The ambiance inside is right back there in the 1970s, and the food and service is terrific. Menu is straightforward, Prime Rib, steak, and chicken (if I remember right). Fancy they aren't, but quality they are. Wiota is on Iowa State Highway 83 (Historic US Route 6) between Anita and Atlantic. Get off the interstate, enjoy the rolling hills of southwest Iowa, and discover the charm of locally owned hospitality. Come on in, you'll feel right at home."
"Service has always been good and prompt, even on their busy specialty nights. Mary Anne is always friendly and the bar is welcoming. I have been to Sidelines a handful of times and the food has always been hot, fresh, and the appetizer bakets are large for the price point. Cocktails are quickly refilled and it is a good place to get a bite to eat."
