Jill K. "Went here for the NE bowl game. We had a pepperoni pizza, Mac and cheese bites and biscuits and gravy. The pizza was great, super thin and crispy. The Mac and cheese bites looked and tasted like Kraft and the biscuits and gravy were great. The problem really was the service. Yes they were busy but the servers continually walked by our table to help others around us and it was only when we stopped them that they helped. A little frustrating when we just wanted a drink refill or to order again. I would come back but not during a busy event."

The service was good and even though it was a bar, it wasn't too "loud" (Despite still being a bar lol). We don't visit the old market often, but if we did, I would gladly dip in and drink here again!"

Shelby B. "Stopped in during a weekend pub crawl for charity (what a great way to raise money! ). This place definitely has a 'divey' feel to, but in a good way. A type of place that feels like it has been here a long time, where locals come to get a drink. The bartender was very personable and made us feel welcome. So much so that we came back at the end of the day just to finish off with an Apple Pie shot! Overall, a good place to grab a beer with friends."

The cocktail menu changes occasionally to keep things interesting. There are other libations available too as well as mocktails. A few beers are also available; on tap as well as in cans or bottles. The bartenders are great and give you a warm welcome when you walk in. There's a quaint, outdoor patio when the Midwest weather cooperates. I'll definitely be back again soon!"

Will S. "I enjoy St. Andrew's Pub on occasion. It's a great spot to grab a seat at the bar and watch the big game. Plus it's usually not too crowded during weeknights, which is a bonus for me the older I get. There are a few giant TVs plus smaller TVs at each of the booths. Ask the bartender to turn it to whatever game you want to watch and they'll usually be able to accommodate. If you're into golf or soccer, this is a prime spot to watch both. I mean it's named after the birthplace of modern golf (St. Andrew's in Scotland) and they're the only place in Omaha I've ever seen Tennent's ("Scotland's favorite pint") on tap. Plus plenty of Scotch and whiskey to keep your mouth wet. However, when this place gets crowded on the weekends, I've found it quite unpleasant. Loud, drunk people everywhere just going nuts. But that's anywhere in Benson these days."

The food was beyond what I was expecting. The cheeseburger was nicely cooked but the best part was the french fries. Fresh cut and fried to perfection. The owners were really wonderful people too. Very welcoming and attentive to their customers. It's a shame that I will probably never be back here. This would definitely be a regular hangout for me.The only thing I think they need is some makers mark whiskey. I was having a hankering for some makers mark."

I will go out on a limb here and say the BPT I had here at the Emerald Isle was easily one of the best I've had EVER, anywhere, hands down, I'm serious!! As another reviewer pointed out, there's not much to Imogene, a grain elevator, a couple churches and the Emerald Isle. Noted for it's St Patty's Day celebration and a super Taco Tuesday special, there is certainly at least one more reason to visit this little southwest Iowa town. Tenderloin with a capital T! Great service and friendly locals only add to the attraction."

Michaela P. "O'leaver's is the kind of place you just have to go experience for yourself to understand what everyone is raving about. (& I recommend that you do just that.)The interior is kind of small, especially if it's a really busy night, but it feels less like a crowded dive bar & more like an intimate Omaha scene where (for the most part) everyone's just happy to be. The beer garden out back is definitely my favorite aspect of the bar/venue. If the weather is nice & the crowd size is large enough, they have a full bar outside that they'll stick a bartender behind. This is especially nice if the crowd inside is too thick to easily order a drink. The "garden" has an enormous sitting & lounging area all beneath draped soft-white lights & enclosed on all sides, creating the illusion that you're secluded from the bustling side streets & the noise of the city. They also have an impressive list of bands that have played on their small but efficient stage."

So, if you see this and know an OSU fan, let them know! Anyway, back to Clancy's, we really like the place. There is a big bar area and plenty of seating and TV's in the main area. There is also a back room with additional seating, a pool table, darts, and an area for indoor cornhole. The food we've gotten has all been pretty good. I got a chicken philly the first time, which was good not great, and my wife got pizza, which she really likes. The last couple of times, I've gotten the wings. You can get the wings traditional style or charred and I like the charred with the grilled flavor but also like to have some additional sauce in which to dip my wings. They are really good wings. The menu is typical bar food but they do it pretty well. The service has been really good. Our watch parties have had the privilege of being assisted mostly by Lindsey, who is very attentive and sweet. She has taken good care of us and I know we appreciate it! I've not been into Clancy's beyond our watch parties but it is just down the road from our house, so I do anticipate stopping in just to grab lunch or dinner once football season winds down. We called in the order and then drove there to wait. My friend who used to live in Lincoln remembered it as much different, a smaller less attractive location. When we drove up she mentioned immediately that it had a nicer look than he recalled. We took a table towards the back as the place was fairly busy and we knew we weren' eating while there. I had a beer, she a soft drink. The pizza took the time they said it would, but we were both drinking a and had decided to play some keno, a first for both of us. We both liked the ambiance, it was busy and moderately loud, but no more than would be expected for a buy pub with food and alcohol. We can't speak to the food except for the pizza we ordered, but walking through the place it certainly looked well made. Beyond that, we have no way of knowing. The pizza we bought and took with is turned out to be very good. The was a generous amount of topping and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed it. As we left and again later on our way back to Council Bluffs we agreed that this is a place we will likely stop at again. For us, it is conveniently located near things we go to and people we know. Next time we hope to try the food."

So we were constantly earning scowls from the sweet, elderly couple next to us -- so much so that we ended up deciding to pick up their tab, for which they were very grateful. But I must say, we certainly had a great time here!Appetizers include a number of lavash breads loaded with goodies (called lahmacun in other places). l love these! I would have tried their original, but my mates went with the Thai version and the Fig/Prosciutto lavash. Both were excellent choices - crispy and delicious, and very filling for an appetizer. I had the Indian Lamb Satay. See photo. It was very good. I asked for medium and I got a perfect medium. And I loved every bite. This is not a complaint, but honestly, they could just gave just as easily called it a Greek Lamb Souvlaki Kebab and I'd have been none the wiser. So, I'm not saying it was uniquely Indian. It wasn't. But that it was delicious. It was served with basmati rice, perfectly steamed vegetables, and a yogurt dipping sauce that was either a Greek yogurt avgolemono sauce or a lemony Indian yogurt sauce. But either way, it was tasty. Our waitress was Katherine and she was top notch. Absolutely amazing. We were well cared for! Thank you, Katherine! The bartender was great, too, serving the most wonderful martinis, including a variety of traditional martinis, awesome espresso martinis, and, as novelty as it sounds, a very good pumpkin martini. All in all, we were delighted with our experience here and will be happy to repeat our experience again soon! I would take my team here again in a heartbeat! Good times!!"
