"I called and somehow made it on the list for an eye exam same day. I think its just because they are a newer establishment. I use VSP and found them on the website for approved coverage. Since I usually just find the closest eye Dr. to my location at the time, I consider myself lucky with this roll of the dice. Everyone was courteous and very efficient. I was in and out in about a half an hour I'd say. Given, I only ordered contacts and I knew the type I usually get, I'm a pretty easy sell. They're price on contacts was very reasonable. "I will never do business with this store again. Almost 3 weeks for my glasses to be delivered. I received them and I can't read with the new glasses. I use my old glasses and they are fine. They do not have an optometrist in the building. It's done via a video conference. I was told that they couldn't do an examination because of prisms in my prescription. The manager is sarcastic and has no customer service skills. They use a false leader to attract customers. I would recommend going anywhere else for prescription glasses."

If I could give this negative stars I would. Wanted them to fix my glasses bc they gave me the wrong type of prescription and I couldnt see and would always get a headache (this was in January 2020). They told me it would arrive after 2 weeks and it took them 5 months and they just kept giving me excuses. They had the audacity to tell me that I wasnt wearing my glasses the right way. The lenses they sent me doesnt even fit the actual glasses frame. The customer service was also terrible and would just send me running around in circles trying to get someone to listen to me. Save your money. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK.

My appointment was quick, the equipment was updated (no puff of air in my eye or dilation drops), they offered me water or coffee, and the exam was comfortable. The doctor recommended a certain type of lens for me but they weren't pushy about me trying glasses or buying frames then and there. The only issue I had was that they didn't warn me that the pictures they took to substitute dilation were not covered by my insurance. It was only $35, but it was a shock at the end since I hadn't been told in advance or given an option to opt out. Otherwise, it was great!

I was very pleased with my experience as a new patient. I wasn't kept waiting, the exam was thorough, and staff were VERY helpful in the all-important frame selection. I will definitely return for my annual appointment. There is also a deal on ordering a second frame, which I will be taking advantage of in the coming weeks. I wear these things every day, so having another choice to wear is worth the investment.

Got a 6pm appointment for my daughter, wow. Had some problems with eye care insurance but the two ladies working the front desk were very helpful making a few calls to the insurance company for me. Nice new building in an upcoming area of Lincoln. The Dr. Bateman was very nice and friendly. This place is our new optometry clinic.

My husband was tasked with the job of finding a new vision specialist in Omaha. How fitting, eh?! The staff was very friendly and I held my breath as I had a 5 and 6 year old and myself to get exams done. I don't think the whole experience could have gone any smoother. From check in to the different exam spots and ending with a prize and new spec fittings for our oldest. I really enjoyed the conversation between the Ophthalmologist and the boys. She was able to handle their questions and energy with ease. I look forward to our next exam. My husband also went a week later and got his done as well. He said he was impressed too. He doesn't always comment on service. ;P

He really cared about discovering the right prescription for me to have optimal vision.Through trial and error, Dr. Weber was confident he could help me. "Stopping in at Dr Shaffer's was our probably 8th stop for the wife to find a new pair of unique quality frames. as well as get new lenses for some custom frames she had made for her a few years ago. After many stops coming in here the selection and quality was much better. I myself ended up making an appointment and coming back a week later to update my glasses. Now while other places told me my insurance covered this and that. Coming here I found out that my insurance covered much more. So off the bat I had no charges for my exams. The exam was more than a what glasses do you need. He measured the pressure of my eye. Took cool star trek future thingy picture of my retina. and went over my overall eye health. I really felt taken care of.Then the glasses choices was great. I feel I got a really good deal on different glasses with all the bells and whistles. They arrived early the communication was great along with the fitting's. And they are warrantied as well.Loved coming out here and they have earned a life long customer!"

"I had purchased my last two pairs of glasses at Robert Max. They have a great selection of funky unique sunglasses and eyeglasses for a crowd who is willing to spend more than typical on eye wear.However, due to how my husband and I were treated on Saturday, I will never return to Robert Max and will discourage people from going there. First of all, I called to inquire if they carried a specific brand of sunglasses. The saleslady responded 'No, we don't, but you know, we carry brands that are just much better quality than that.' The tone was certainly rude and judgmental. We decided to stop by there anyway, unfortunately. The saleslady was still there, and absolutely condescending to us. My husband tried on sunglasses and said he didn't care for the fit. In a 'you are so stupid and know nothing about glasses' sort of tone, she said, 'Well you know, we must fit them to your face. Nothing is going to fit you perfectly right away.' Well that's fine, but when you treat your clients like they are morons, that is not a helpful fact nor an enticing customer service offered. Then, as we made our way around the store, another saleslady was chatting with a friend, blocking our turn around the store. After excusing ourselves to continue walking through past them, they would not move! We had to actually walk through and physically brush past them to get through the store, and they finally decided they would slightly move the conversation to let us pass. What an abominable way to treat your customers!Finally, I decided to look for eyeglasses for a few minutes, and told the saleslady that I had trouble with mine not fitting properly, which had been purchased at Robert Max. I explained I had them corrected once at Pearl Vision, but just weren't working out. The final straw was when she responds by rolling her eyes, and saying 'Ugh...Pearl Vision? No, they would not do a good job. Bring them back here, we would do a much better job.' She was repulsed by the fact that I had stepped foot in a Pearl Vision. Well, from now on, I certainly will not step foot in Robert Max ever again. I have never been treated so poorly by a sales staff."
"The owner has been supplying my contacts and eyeglasses to me for almost 20 years. His father had an eyeglass shop in my hometown and he learned the business from him. I live in Lincoln and drive to Omaha for glasses because he is so quick with turnaround and the prices can't be beat as he has almost zero overhead. If he take a vacation his Dad (who is now retired) is watching the shop for him. Ten years ago I was packing for vacation and had forgot to order contacts in. He mailed me a disposable pair to get me through and they arrived the next day.That's why people go to him, He is a one-man show and treats every customer as HIS customer...something you don't get in larger stores.I am heading down there next week ...just booked an eye exam with Doc (Optomitrist who is there 3 times a week doing exams) and it will cost me around $60. That's a crazy good deal. In Lincoln I paid 3 times that when I tried to stay closer to home.)With the savings on my lenses (Owner cuts many of his own lenses) I will save a bundle even after gas money. He carries many designer frames and sunglasses. I have bought Nike, Jimmy Choo, couple of Maui Jim pairs from him...for eyeglasses he had D&G, kate spade, Coach plus tons of economical frames, as well. He had one section of budget-friendly frames that are as low as $50. I tried on a few from that one that were similar to Nike and the RayBan ones across the wall.The place is probably not as posh as the newer eyeglass places...not going to lie, but I will take the savings off my fab specs and sunglasses and the lack of decor doesn't bother me in the least. Customer service and a good deal will win every time in my book."

From the moment I reached this company and was able to get an appointment scheduled with in a week - I was happy. The staff who checked me in and did my initial testing were all wonderful. The doctor made me feel so comfortable and retested me looking for cataracts. He found them and explained that they may have been what messed up my lasik's a little. He was great to work with and I did not plan to get my eye glasses here as they often seem more expensive at the doctor's office, but man was I happy to find an affordable option and had them in less than two weeks. I am so happy I found this place and plan to reach out to them when I am ready to consider having my cataracts removed. But will also do my eye appointments here."
"I recently had a terrible incident at another eye care provider, so I was looking to purchase glasses that fit into my insurance plan. I called and with little notice they were able to see me in 10 minutes. The women who were working this day were the most kind and helpful women. The other provider had my purchase option locked so we couldn't process it - they were closed for the day and the insurance provider couldn't change anything with my call - so they called and were able to get it resolved right away. "The optometrist herself was amazing, but the support staff was incredibly bad, rude, and hasn't the faintest idea of what patient care truly means. My daughter is a very anxious person which was advertised prior to even making the appointment for a contact exam and fitting. The appointment taking person assured me they'd accommodate my daughter. Low and behold, the associate tried to strong arm the contact in to my daughter's eye, causing months of set back and fear of another visit. Won't go back and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. They also refused to release the prescription since they couldn't "certify" her contact scrip since they didn't see her install one herself."

"Had a fantastic visit to Young Vision Care this week. We decided to use this office because of their friendliness and helpful staff. My daughter had broken her glasses right after we moved here, and we stopped in about an appointment. Our "one year" between glasses was bout six months out and mailing the glasses to our old office to be sent off for repair and then mailed back to us was not an option. However, they were able to switch her lenses into an older pair of the same frame and refit them to our daughter to suffice until the new year. We went back this week for our exam and had another great experience. Dr Patty was very patient and thorough with our daughter; and in turn, our daughter was comfortable and at ease during her exam. "I have gone to Illumin nearly two years. The first appt after my eyes were tested took nearly two months to get my contacts. Some type of mix up. Then after that point it took me nearly two weeks or more to get someone to call me back when ordering the contacts. I guess there is only one person that funnels the calls so if you miss her your sunk. Now mind you this has been going on for two years. At first I thought it was unusual, nope. Finally have decided to take my business elsewhere. I'd give them two stars or less. The buildings are lovely but the service is terrible."

"Seems like all the docs rotate between the locations, which is a bit weird. That said, Dr. Pfeil is the best eye doc I've seen in several years. He was able to fit me in contacts for my unusual post-LASIK eyes. I had also ordered a pair of glasses from an optician in NYC which were not correct, and the staff worked with me to measure and test my prescription so I could get them repaired. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for anyone. I've also seen how their optical center works and they seem to have one of the most sophisticated fitting and measuring systems that I've seen in Lincoln."
