After speaking with a few locals and the staff from our hotel we knew Omaha Prime would be the best place for our anniversary dinner. When we came in for our reservation we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary. We ordered a round of drinks and the Chilean Sea Bass, the 14 oz KC strip steak, and a baked potato to share. The sea bass was absolutely delicious and the garlic sauce was to die for. My husband raved on his steak and potatoes as well. The service was absolutely top tier, and we were gifted cheesecake for an anniversary dessert. I truly loved everything about this place. If you find yourself in the area we highly recommend stopping in for your next steak dinner."

The cozy, wood filled space and a seat right by the fireplace made it the perfect spot, especially with the snow falling outside. I felt relaxed and at home. The focaccia with whipped ricotta and truffle oil was unreal, I could have eaten the whole thing. I got the timber mac and cheese, which was definitely not your typical mac. The chimichurri and pico de gallo gave it a fun twist. Service started off a little rushed, but our server turned it around and ended up being great. Can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu!"

Kristen E. "Tried for brunch, was excited to try but sadly wasn't super impressed. I got the steakhouse omelette and added jalapeño. It was okay, definitely a nice amount of steak included but overall the omelet was kinda bland/dry. It was missing something. I've definitely had better. There's nothing special about the breakfast potatoes. Friends got classic Benedict and the breakfast sunrise pizza, which honestly that one may have been the best, it was a pretty sizable pizza for $15. I think the price of most other entrees is a bit much for the amount of food you get. Drinks were okay, I got a mimosa and Paris Cosmo. Our server was nice but perhaps new and definitely struggled with a few things, mixed up some stuff on our tabs, wasn't super familiar with the drink menu, asked how my friend wanted her eggs for the Benedict (poached is standard for that). The ambiance is cool, and perhaps this is a better place to just get wine/drinks than food."

The music is awesome not too white, not too black, not too country and not too rap, it's in a great middle place where everyone can enjoy it. There's a pool table, dart board and most importantly keno. The crowd is mixed and for a Friday afternoon there's a good number of people here, but not crowded. I would definitely come here again if I was hanging with someone who loves keno. But the food would not lure me back, sorry. The drinks are decently strong and the quantity of food we got was more than sufficient. We got a combo basket for under $13 and we couldn't finish it so it was worth it. Gastro Pub this place is not, but it's a great place to hang out and play keno and shoot pool."

Linden D. "I'm really sad I didn't get to grab photos, because photos are my usual forté on this platform -- however, I couldn't go and not review! FOOD : My husband and I ordered the 8oz sirloin and our friend got the chicken teriyaki dish, and we split some mushroom fries as well. My sirloin was delicious! I loved the flavors and the sauce they used, I also appreciated that their portion sizes didn't make you leave feeling like a glutton. It was the perfect amount of food (although I wouldn't have minded some more veggies!) and the steak was cooked great for me. My husband loved his and although it was a touch fatty, it was delicious and worth getting again. My friend has an obsession with their coconut shrimp, but the menu changes often so it wasn't around this time and she got the chicken teriyaki dish. She gobbled the whole thing up and although it wasn't as good as the coconut shrimp, she seemed to enjoy it! As for the mushroom fries, I'm not huge on deep fried anything - but my husband is and he thought they were good!SERVICE : the service was top notch! We felt so taken care of and they were so kind and overall just downright friendly. It almost felt like we all knew each other! They do a great job of making people feel taken care of and satisfied. ATMOSPHERE : The Woodcliff restaurant is THE poppin place to be for anyone who lives around the woodcliff lake or beyond. It is definitely a hot commodity amongst the lake community, and we got the opportunity to check it out through an invite to go to dinner from one of our friends who live by it. From the outside I wasn't expecting much, if I'm being completely honest I was a little bit nervous that we might be getting food poising from this joint because it didn't have much appeal from the outside. But as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover! The inside is warm and welcoming, a "cabin-esque" ambiance with string lights over the back patio and warm yellow light inside. Everyone seems excited to be there and from what we heard, it's always pretty busy (which is a good thing!). It is definitely not a cheap spot, but I would say you get what you pay for. It truly is a delicious hidden gem that I wish more people knew about!"

Three workers there... Alex, a lady, and another gentleman were all great people! Gave awesome service!!! My friend tipped them on line and I had to tip them even more as the food was definitely great tasting as well! I had the Bacon Cheeseburger on Pretzel bun, which had very much flavor. Burger was cooked perfectly and still juicy! The fries were even done well and the meal was also served with a good sized pickle. I really enjoyed the looks of the outside of the place and the inside gave me a simple, elegant feel. I appreciated Alex's communication with me and when my water glass was half full, he was at my table to top off! Alex is a good sport too. After having a few little mini conversations when it wasn't too busy yet, I told him he could pretty much be a Parick Mahomes look alike and we both laughed about it and he said he gets told that sometimes :) ... The food is not bad, in fact, pretty decent. The decor is simple but nice. The staff has been friendly, helpful, and attentive. So why still 3 stars?I think my overall feeling about this establishment is that its a "fine" place to go, but nothing on the menu sparks my interest enough for frequent visits and cravings. I still think the price point on the entrees are a little high for what you're getting, and while I am happy to pay that for an entree, it has to be something I really enjoy. Portions are modest as well. So, perhaps just not my cup of tea, but others might find that "favorite" meal at this establishment. In Omaha, the new American dining game is quite strong, so you have to have a good menu to keep me coming back for more."

The bartender was awesome and made me a NA old fashioned (most places only say they have NA beer) and don't go through the effort of trying to make something. It was as good as an NA cocktail is going to get. We sat at the bar and there was a good amount of people in the restaurant on a Monday night. There were some tvs on and sports and it was a chill place for a good drink and dish. We only got two appetizer like dishes because we weren't super hungry and they have a spin on them (adding Brussels to a Caesar salad) and I didn't hate it but I'm not sure I loved it either. (Spoiler: This was the best decision on made in the 12 hour trip.)Upon entering it has a very homey feeling. It screams small town, mom and pop shop. The waitress was very welcoming and quickly came to our table and asked for drinks and if we had any questions. Not being from here I asked her what she recommended and she said the roast beef sandwich with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. Let me tell you this was one of the best roast beef anything I had had and I have had my fair share. Having kids with me, they of course opted for the cheeseburger and tator tots. And those where a hit as well. The owner/chef came by the table to ask how everything was and even chatted with us a bit before we went on our way. Instead I got the same thing, plus salad bar for $12.99. Which was still reasonable. First off, who still has a salad bar? It was kind of fun to see. I can't think of anywhere I've been lately (unless it was a buffet) that still had a salad bar. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, as were the toppings. A+ on the salad bar.The steak was sort of "meh". It was cooked to order as I requested but it wasn't exactly a choice cut of meat. And for the price I wasn't expecting top sirloin or anything, but this was stringy and chewy. Not the best steak I've had in the price range. I mean, the hole in wall "Best Steak House" in my hometown is much tastier for the same price. The baked potato was unacceptable. It needed about another hour in the oven. It was hard and cool. Not hot and fully. Also, they had no real butter - only country crock. I'm not the cruel type (cruel = weakness, only the strong can be kind--I know because I was once cruel). At the same time, underwhelming is underwhelming and I must report the facts. Fortunately, there is something about JB's that is excellent. I'll save the best for last. In the meantime, I'd like to give you a piece of advice. If you ever go to Iowa and people tell you, "This place has great pizza," please remind yourself that Iowa is great for a few things (primarily steakhouses, methheads, and tornados), but pizza isn't one of them. I took this local advice and got the pizza at JB's. If you know pizza, then as you can see from the picture, it's not very appetizing. I struggled to eat the first slice, ate half of the second, and then decided to give away the rest. I figured that would be easy due to 'amazing' pizza but it wasn't. I went up to five people before the sixth person couldn't believe I was giving him a pizza. The Turkey sandwich tasted like something you would pack for a climb up Mt. Washington in NH so you could eat it at the peak. The good news: This place is really an amazing bakery that also serves food. If you're looking for baked goods, go here! I was very impressed. The service was also pretty good. It depended who was working but it's the Midwest and you will mostly find kindness. And while you might find great food in some places in Iowa, it will not be found in Council Bluffs. Even traveling poker dealers say this often (good stop but terrible for food). I'll be posting some food reviews in near future as it's a way of reliving adventures I lived in the poker world for years. In fact, I have very likely lived a more adventurous life than any breathing poker player over the past six years. It had its costs but would I change anything? Hell no! Also, I don't know what the next chapter will be, but it will also involve adventure. I got a little off-topic there. I have written entire books about these adventures and I have no plans on writing any books for years so I might be adding little tidbits here and there on Yelp."
