"I've been to Eatery A a few times back when I lived in Des Moines, but after visiting this weekend I knew I had to write a review. I enjoyed a nice dinner outside on the patio. The construction on Ingersoll doesn't make for the greatest view, but the atmosphere of the patio is still great. Our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. I had the lamb sliders for the first time and they were to die for. Perfect amount of garnish and aioli, and well-priced!"
"This South Lincoln favorite scores high in my book. Located in a strip mall next to Eileen's cookies, this small restaurant is serving up some delicious home cooked eats. Most of their dishes here are pre-cooked and prepared, and they have them available for you to look at and choose cafeteria style. As you browse and peruse the options, they are happy to let you sample the food, as well as explain the flavors and preparations. I had a great time trying their dishes and ended up taking 6 different entrees home as a result (you can do half orders or full orders) for 6 entrees plus rice, it was around $55. Each plate of food is around ~$14. Friendly, family oriented place. Best for takeout as there's not a whole lot of ambience in there, but also there are tables for eating in. They are also at the Sunday farmer's market near Union College on the weekends- where you can snag rice with the stew type entrees or gyro meat on the grill. Highly recommend, it's like eating a warm, home cooked meal."

"Fantastic food and excellent service! I love all the vegan/ vegetarian options. Absolutely gorgeous interior decor. Loved it! It's my new FAVORITE!"
"Lola's is a wonderful spot to visit! They are my go to for Sunday brunch. Typically we can get in pretty quick when we visit before 10 am which is a huge perk. I love their homemade pastries and baked goods! My wife and I always have to try a new one to split each time we go. I really enjoy their chocolate knots and chocolate chip cookies. When it comes to brunch, their sandwiches really stand out. I always get the Toastie. This is a sandwich with scrambled egg, prosciutto, and parmesan cheese on their house made focaccia bread. I have had this sandwich at least a dozen times and each time it is just as good as I remember it. All of the ingredients are so fresh and perfectly balanced. The service is very good! I have never had a less than stellar experience."
"Went and got gyros and a chicken kebab plate with the family today and the owner is really nice! The food was great, very flavorful, prices are very reasonable and we all really enjoyed it."
"I really wanted to like Mediterranean bistro...especially because there's not a ton of Mediterranean places to eat out west. The service was fine, nothing memorable. The food was decent, but not memorable either. My biggest complaint was that a lot of the food was bland. The rice was almost flavorless, and both of the meats I ordered lacked true flavor. It looked like there was plenty of seasoning on there, but honestly it didn't taste like much. The highlight of the meal was the baklava. It did taste a little mealy, but on the hole it was the best thing I ate the whole night. The ambience needs some updating. It kind of looks like a cross between Persian and Mediterranean inside, but all of the interiors and decorations could use some TLC. Maybe just an a dining room refresh? Everything looked well used."
"This was quite a surprise in the outskirts of Lincoln. A burger Greek joint with a giant King Kong outside. The place surprises with a giant smash burger and tasty gyro. My wife got the sirloin Greek salad, so no pictures since she was hungry and you don't mess Mother Nature or a hungry wife. (She said it was delicious) The service was pretty quick and the order was correct. The ultimate in fast food ethics, get it fast and right. The outside looks like it needs a bit of work, but that's just lipstick. Would definitely recommend if you are traveling in the area and need a quick meal."
"What a nice surprise. We came here years ago but now under new ownership. The inside has been remodeled and more inviting. The food also is higher quality. The food was fantastic. We came with friends and we ordered Greek salad and gyro plate. Everything was fresh. The gyro meat was moist and tender. The owner was so nice and checked on us often. I would highly recommend. We will be back."

Food: 5* Atmosphere: 5* Value: 5* Service: 5*Would I go back / Recommend?: 5* (Definitely)Total check/person: $4709/28/2024 Eatery AIt had been a few years since we have been at Eatery A, mostly due to being new in the area and exploring new venues rather than repeating at a known location. Once again, we were extremely pleased with this stop as in the end, I gave it one of the few full 5* ratings that I have ever given. This place truly has it all - unique and tasty food, a great atmosphere, friendly service and value that is above average for the downtown! If you have the treat of being served by Vee - tell her 'Hi' from The Food and Drink Guy, as she is a gem!Tonight, we celebrated my wife's Birthday - exploring the menu beyond the pizza's we had on previous visits to the other Mediterranean delights as recommended by our server, Vee. Tonight we truly shared everything - starting with the Two for Delicacies: Bacon Wrapped Dates & Meatballs (see pictures). We followed that up with a Three for $35 Skewer: Swordfish, Chicken Shawarma & Sirloin Tip (see picture). All of them were delicious and highly recommended, but our favorite was the Bacon Wrapped Dates!Lastly, if you follow my posts, you know how hard it is for me to leave a restaurant without having some type of sweets. Tonight was no different, although it was free for my wife's Birthday. We opted for the Salted Caramel Budino (see picture) and while we have had it before - we truly relished every spoonful. It was sweet, rich and awesome - especially given the smaller portion size that didn't leave us feeling too guilty! You will love a stop here for your next meal out...and if you want to sample a few things at a bargain price, they have one of the best true 1/2 price Happy Hours in the area!

I love this place. I will say it's a bit difficult to tell when they're open since their open sign is almost always illuminated and from the outside it almost always looks like the lights are off inside and sometimes I've gone to get some during their posted hours and they have indeed been closed. But despite all that, I'm a big fan. The proprietor is so friendly and sweet, and the food is so flavorful and fresh at such a reasonable value. I will continue to try to come back when I can because it's worth it!

We had a lovely lunch at Clio. I'm going to give it 4 stars though because I feel like there is a lot of hype about this place and people are aren't really noticing things that otherwise might bother them. One thing I thought was really odd was that the stuffed date appetizer (which is delicious and is very popular) - well, it's meant to be shared, it's even in a cute rotating serving dish for sharing. But...it comes with one large piece of oil-saturated bread. My daughter and I took turns biting it but obviously that would not work at all with some situations. The sauce is delicious. Some individual wedges of pita bread would make so much more sense. We got the kafta kebab, I would choose something different next time since this was a lot greasier than I have had in other restaurants. The beets were absolutely delicious, whipped feta sauce. Will definitely get those again. The iced tea was very good. I was disappointed to not be offered a refill as it was $6 and was mostly ice. Speaking of; my daughter got a tasty mocktail but wow, that huge ice cube in the glass. There wasn't room for much else in there. Service was very friendly and helpful other than the lack of drink refill. The decor - l like these little cubbyholes with the vases and other objects. But the way the central column has been wrapped with a massive amount of fake leaves - I absolutely hate this. The reason I was not in a rush to come try this place out was because even from the outside it just looks so tacky, it seems like it will be dusty and gross in no time, along with all the other leafy stuff hanging there. I can't really explain (even to myself) why this bothers me so much, considering that a lot of my favorite restaurants are actually not nearly as clean as this place is. But when anyone mentions Clio my mind immediately goes to this. The food overall was really good. If you have histamine intolerance you might want to take an antihistamine first. But that is not an issue for most people so this is not a criticism - a LOT of The Best Foods are high-histamine - just an FYI.

I had the Speck sandwich and it was great. Service was excellent, and Lola's has a cool vibe. The waitress was attentive, and the food came pretty quickly, although I was eating a late lunch, and the place wasn't packed. I would definitely come back for dinner.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Lincoln. The food is delicious and the staff is so nice. The family also just opened another spot in town called Pita and Naan. I always get the Z plate or Z sandwich. The only different between the two is that you get steak fries with the Z plate. This restaurant is located in downtown Denver near the Haymarket area. Parking may be a bit difficult to find along the street, so consider parking in a garage or walking. There is seating available inside and outside.

Mediterranean bistro is an Omaha classic, tucked away right off 120th and blondo behind the gas station and next to hurts donuts. FOOD : the food is nice to have as a healthier option with loads of flavors compared to the standard American cuisine. I got the chicken kabob with hot sauce and substituted veggies for the rice. The chicken was honestly not great, it was pretty greasy and chewy, I caught a bone which I'm never thrilled about. To be honest as years have gone by, I really like this place less and less. As for the veggies, they were alright, nothing really special about them they were just chard and that was that. Overall kind of a waste of money if I'm being really honest, much prefer El Basha or other Mediterranean spots in Omaha. TIPS / THINGS TO KNOW : if you're doing takeout they automatically add a 10% gratuity to your order. I have had issues here in the past where they have added A lot of money on come time to pay that was unnecessary, so make sure you know what you're paying for and you don't go without checking the receipt. They also add tax to each plate instead of to the order overall, so another thing to note. Also, they don't offer sides of hummus unless you're paying $10 extra dollars for it which sucks compared to other Mediterranean spots in town. Lastly, The menu prices they have online are different than the prices they have in store, everything is about a dollar more expensive when you go inside. Unfortunately this will probably be the last time I ever go here, it just solidified that I truly don't love the spot if I'm being honest. Not only is the way they charge sketchy, but the food really just isn't as good as it used to be.

Stopped here on Christmas night 2016 due to bad weather while moving cross-country. Very pleasantly surprised to find someplace open, let alone someplace good. Will keep this place in mind for future travels.

The Turkish food is very good, & we always enjoy the opportunity to speak Turkish with the proprietors (having lived there for seven years). They also have the absolute best baklava we have ever tasted, hands down--surpassing even what we've had in Turkey. Can't speak to any of the Greek or other offerings here, as the Turkish food is why we go, ha ha.Very friendly service, nice casual atmosphere. One of our faves when we are in Omaha.

"Finally got a chance to try this place out, and ... it was really good. It's situated close to Offutt AFB in Bellevue and they have a decent dining space inside. I'll have to try some of their other dishes, but their Adana kebab was certainly a tasty choice."
"A focused menu of Mediterranean favorites, Sultan's Kite is a great place to go if you're in the mood for Shwarma, Gyros, or Falafel. They also serve Chicken Tikka Korma. And that's it. Kinda like chipotle in terms of how ordering works (pick your style, meat, sauce, and toppings). A pita with any of the above meats could be sufficient for a meal, but a side and/or dessert is probably a good idea if you are a big eater. Their baklava was good but not great. Kinda heavy, not very flaky. We had a larger group of 6 adults and 2 kids and arrived at 630 on a Friday, right in the middle of a rush. This caused a bit of a traffic jam, but it all worked out in the end.I've been to both the downtown and this location, and the south location certainly provides more accessible parking."
"This modest downtown fast casual restaurant has delicious food without frills or pretentiousness. Stop in for a quick sit-down meal or order food to go! We tried the chicken momos, paneer naan, Navratran biryani, and the chicken tikka lunch special. The momos were really great, and the hubs said they're just as good as what you can get back home in India. The dumpling wrapper is tender, the flavorful ground chicken filling is juicy, and the dipping sauce complements well. My chicken tikka was juicy, roasty, and tasty! The lunch portion is pretty small, so if you're hungry, you should probably get something in addition or order the regular portion. The navratran biryani is seasoned rice with golden raisins, cashews, and veggies...super delish and not too sweet! The paneer naan was sooo fresh, and the coriander chutney served alongside is herby and awesome. There are a couple drink fridges with canned and bottled drinks, and serve-your-own water in pitchers with refrigerated glasses.Put your worries aside and definitely try this place out. Your belly will be happy you did!"
"Give this place a try!I went with the classic gyro and wasn't disappointed...the portions were huge, meat was tender and sauces pushed it over the top. The meat was much juicier and tender than other gyro spots I've visited. To top it off, the restaurant was clean and the staff was remarkably friendly. Definitely will be returning here for lunch and some late night snack s!"
"I've been here a couple of times and the food and service are spot on! I do feel like I'm "cheating" on equally fabulous Mediterranean restaurants nearby. I tend to order off the menu because what I want is a bed of salad with chicken on it, lemon potatoes, and a pita on the side which is different than the menu item that has a side salad. Just make sure you are clear, and they will happily accommodate."
"My second visit for take out. I had their Greek salad again and it is as good as I remembered. Fresh, tasty and plenty for linch or dinner. Absolutely recommend!"
"We noticed that Gourmet Grill moved into the space that HF Crave occupied, and wanted to check it out. We were glad we stopped in! We came around 11:30 on a Sunday morning, and the place was reasonably full already. Despite only one person working (taking orders and cooking), he busted his butt and our food was fresh and delicious. He also provided great service! We tried the spicy chicken gyro, the chicken tikka korma, the spicy gyro, and the ground beef kebab. The kebab was delicious, and it comes with rice and salad. My hubs loved the dressing! The spicy chicken gyro was awesome!! It was shredded and in a tasty sauce. The spicy gyro was good as well, but had a stronger lamb flavor (in case you're used to beef mixed with lamb and don't like the gaminess). The only thing we wouldn't order next time is the chicken tikka korma. The chicken was over cooked and the flavor just doesn't measure up to Sultan's Kite for that one. Another plus: perfectly seasoned and crispy crinkle-cut fries!"
"Wonderful food and even better service. The restaurant is super clean and you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their business. I particularly like the fact I get a sincere 'Thank You' for spending my money at their establishment. Good job George's!"
"They might not be the "King of Gyros," but they're pretty decent. I'll try to rate this place in and of itself, but I just can't help but draw comparisons to Sultan's Kite. At the latter, the portions are bigger for the price and the baklava's better. But for their own sake, their food is pretty decent. I ordered a gyro, a SoBe and a baklava. The gyro was decent, although a tad on the dry side as I got closer to finishing it. The baklava was alright, but also a bit dry. Plus it was one piece for $1.49, while at Sultan's Kite you get two pieces for that price. I think the whole deal came out to like 12 bucks or so.The servers looked legit and were nice enough. In short, not a bad joint overall, but you get more bang for your buck over at Sultan's Kite.Interestingly, they're located right next to another Greek place, Ali Baba, which I've yet to check out."
"Delicious food! Had the beef kabob, rice and fatoosh salad. The friendly staff threw in a dessert which I think was the aish el saraya. If you're nearby, drop in and at least pick up some of this dessert! It's very different from any western dessert I can easily compare. For the kitchen to pick up food, drive and park around back. You'll walk in and go left for the kitchen; right for the market."
"Oh boy, is this GOOD!!!! Greek salad and a chicken shawarma. So tasty and fresh. I could literally eat this every day. I unwrapped the shawarma and put the ingredients on the salad. Great job!"
