While there he repaired my washer replaced my heating element in my dryer and informed me that dryer door was facing the wrong way and flipped it around for me at no charge. "We had an external hard drive crash, and overall the service was excellent. He walked me through the steps which took a few days to recover the data. The price was high (over $400) but he let me know that ahead of time, unfortunately I just wasn't in a position where I had another option but pay the recover the data. I brought my computer in because I was encountering major performance issues with games and just all around online browsing. "Computer Habit took my husband's money to fix my daughters computer and now won't respond to phone calls and is never there when my husband stops by. The computer guy had to order parts so luckily were able to bring the computer home while we waited. My daughter is taking classes at Metro and has a lot papers to complete. If we had left the computer we would have been out the cost of the computer and the $350 bucks my husband is out. The BBC can't do anything so it sounds like we would have to go to small claims court. Computer Habit should be shut down. It is so wrong to treat customers the way my husband has been treated. It took a week to find out what was wrong with the computer. I've lived in LaVista since 1970 when computer habit was a cornfield. If anyone has any ideas other than small claims court, I would be grateful. We just want the money back. We would have to be insane to let him fix the computer."

Soooo here we are 1 day later after the tech supposedly "fixed" my dishwasher. I attempted to run it this morning, and wouldn't ya know, it's doing the exact same thing it was prior to the 3 times a technician came and and attempted to "fix" my issues! And it's Saturday and they are closed so I guess we have to go until next week sometime to see if they can come up with another excuse as to why they can't fix it. I left them a not so friendly voicemail so they can start their Monday off on the right foot with me! Again I don't recommend this business to anyone!

I don't use repair services often, but my five-year-old laptop was so slow, I could barely use it. This place is just great. They walked me through pricing and didn't try to sell me more than I wanted. I had them tune it up, and they offered to replace the hard drive for parts if I got it home and wanted it even faster. I decided to do that, and I had it back the same day! I am really happy with this place. Affordable, friendly and very trustworthy.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE TO BE WORKED ON, LOOKED AT, OR EVEN SNEEZED ON. I'm mad I even have to give a star as this so called "business" is a complete waste of time, money, and does not deserve a one star rating. I am surprised they are even in business. From the start of the transaction I should have listened to my intuition. I was told that a simple power socket replacement would take five days to fix because the part needed to be ordered. I did not receive a work order slip when leaving. A day later I was called for my password for what I have no clue. Ten days later I get a mumbling voicemail from the owner, whom I call back a few minutes later, and I'm told he's at the bank so he will call me back. He never called me back. I called him the next day and he tells me he hasn't started the work yet, but that my computer needs a new battery. Typical - make sure you mark your battery or they will swipe it with a different one. I refused the offer to pay for an overpriced battery. Angry that they didn't start the work yet, I asked when the new finish date would be and I was told seven days. Within that timeframe I get a call stating my laptop was fixed. I stated I couldn't get there by close of business so the guy mumbled that he would drop it off at my work. I found this completely odd and creepy. I refused and said I would be there tomorrow at lunch time. When I go in the next day the guy takes me into the back and shows me that the light comes on (whoopee who cares). I pull out my credit card to pay (when you walk in he has the VISA/MasterCard accepted sign in the window) to which he gives me a look and says "oh, could you possibly do a check or cash?" Immediately I'm on high alert and say "no" - his response, "oh I'm not sure how we are going to do this then." I asked if he had a credit card machine and why his window advertised that he took cards. He then stated "my machine is down." I asked him how long his machine has and would be down, he responded with "five days" to which I rebutted with "so you are saying tack on another ten business days?" He gave me a look as I angrily left. ADVISE: Check to see if you can even log into to your computer prior to leaving (you will see why later). I went to the bank and I got the cash out. ADVISE: Get a cashier's check or write a check. I didn't want to wait for my laptop as it had already been half a month. When I come back he sits there and makes up some sort of invoice for the work. He gives me five dollars in change, allowing me the graciousness to receive more money back because he didn't have change (oh thank-you so much). The work was overpriced, I could have done it in less time myself (this would entail me learning "how to" prior to completing the task). When I got home I attempted to log on to my laptop to find that my password did not work. I tried lowercase, uppercase, password, 0, and nothing. So I called the guy on his cell phone and asked him why my password didn't work, he literally yells "I DIDN'T DO THAT DON'T ACCUSE ME" (defensive much?). I ask him if this is common and why he wouldn't tell his customer's upfront that this would be a problem with the laptop after the completion of the work? He simply mumbles "is there anything important on your laptop?" Mind you this is the sixth time he's already asked me this question. Then he starts mumbling about how I need to press and hold down zero to go back to the system default. At this point, I have no idea what this guy has done to my laptop. I am still unable to access it because I have not had the patience to deal with it on my end. Yet, the whole ordeal was a complete and utter failure. I'm reporting this individual/business for their shady business model, their false advertising that they take cards when the obviously do not, and the simple fact that their customer service is non-existent. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COMPANY - you'd have more luck finding someone more reliable and trustworthy on craigslist.

"They eventually fixed my TV. It was a long and ugly path to get it done. Seeing that they were the Samsung Authorized repair center. I thought it would be alright. I should have known better by checking the Yelp reviews. Customer service varied from apathetic to uncaring. I had made arrangements to have my TV picked up and taken into the shop for repairs. I was given a 2 hour window for the pickup. At the end of the window, I called and was basically was told "we will get there, when we get there". When they did come. The person picking it up was apologetic and said that he was given a route without a time schedule. Having not heard from them in a couple days, I called and was told they would look at it the first of the next week. End of the following week, they called and said that a part is on order and should be arriving in about 10 days. Two weeks later, I called... part was in but technician was going on vacation for a few days. At the end of the third week. The part was ready and they scheduled a reinstallation time. Older gentlemen with a beanie came to hang TV on the wall. Turned it on and we had TV but no smart TV functions. Call to Metro TV was placed. First they said I had a "regular" TV. I reminded them that it was a 3D Plasma Smart TV. A day or two later. Metro TV called and made an appointment to have a technician come out. When he came, he apparently knew what he was doing. Placed TV on bed, pulled back off, swapped boards and connected a laptop to configure. He was done in about 40 minutes and we were back up and running. Technician gets a great rating. As far as the rest of the company- they deserve a pass. For delays, ordering wrong part and delays."
"After a rough start, I will give Quick Connect a thumbs up. I wanted a local repair shop for to fix my laptop back in December, and found Quick Connect in the Yellow Pages. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the repair took longer than anticipated, but I did get my device back in working order with a guarantee that if I wanted to 'trade it" for a new device within 60 days, the money I'd spent on the repair would be credited toward a new device.I have to note that the owner advised me against the repair - he recommended a replacement laptop, but I wanted to try to get by with the device I had.Less than a month after I picked it up, I had the same problem again, and back to Quick Connect I went, this time to replace my device. The owner and associate who was working gave me "white glove" service, helping me decide which laptop would fit my needs and asking which files etc., I wanted transferred from my old laptop to the new one.New device was ready within the time frame they quoted - and I have to say it was QUICK! I took in my laptop on Saturday, and had the new one fully loaded by Monday.I initially had issues with Quick Connect's service, but they definitely made up for it on my last two visits. Thanks to Kristan and Peter for great service - I'm a new fan and recommend Quick Connect."
