"It's a little confusing when you go in, but the ice cream is truly the best! Orders take a while, but we were there on a crowded Friday night. Everyone who works there is very nice and it's super fun to watch them make the ice creams. Plenty of seating and room to enjoy the treats although it gets pretty loud.Look at these delicious treats!!"
"The 402 creamery in the telephone district in Lincoln Nebraska is a fine place to make a bad decision. If you care about ambience inside the ice cream shop this is not the place for you (you want Ivanna Cone), however if what you care about is tasty ice cream, and inventive flavors then this is likely Lincoln's best option. Additionally, if you're rolling in with a group of six to 16 people and don't mind sitting outside, then they have plenty of seating as well as parking for your large group to get together and eat cold sweetened fat. Personally, I like two flavors. I get a half scoop of each, 1) dark chocolate; and 2) blueberries and lemon cake. They offer a sliver of waffle cone with your dish of ice cream. The experience is largely unchanged with or without the added waffle cone triangle. The service is just fine, when I've gone the servers look to be mostly high school age women working a summer job."
"During my last couple of visits, I experienced better customer interactions and the staff seems to have learned how to manage the crowds a bit better. Perhaps some of this is just evidence of them smoothing out some processes along the way as they've grown or maybe just that crowds have dwindled a bit after a year of pandemic frenzy.Either way, their team is working hard to care for their customers and deliver a fun experience from start to finish."
"Stopped in for lunch today after reading positive Yelp reviews! What a great place for a burger and shake! Service was fast and friendly. Restrooms were spotlessly clean. What an unexpected treat on our roadtrip north on I-29! We'll definitely be back!"
"Well this is one way to go into a diabetic coma... Gooey, warm filled cookie and the option to add ice cream and toppings?! Yes, please. I ordered The Reverse (peanut butter and chocolate) with chocolate ice cream and crumbled Reeses. It was delicious. And filling. And now I'm going to try not to crash at my desk."
"We had a great lunch. Good sandwiches and salad. Amazing ice cream. Fun charming building with a cute gift shop."
"This casual sit down or go restaurant is super perfect for grabbing a quick snack, a full meal, or when you're with a split party that some people want dessert or something cool and sweet and the other half of the party just wants tacos. The menu here is traditionally street Mexican, with elote, tacos, tortas, taquitos, and burritos on the menu among other platter type dishes. The dessert side of the menu is mangonada or shaved ice, as well as a cool (and generous) slice of sticky sweet flan. Honestly, as far as street Mexican goes, this place has got it all. I would highly recommend. Pricing is great and all the things we tried were excellent!"
"I guess you CAN mess up shaved ice. I ordered the root beer float shaved ice but requested no frozen yogurt. I simply said "root beer flavoring with a drizzle of condensed milk on top." First of all, I ordered three shaved ices and it took almost 15 minutes to get them all. That's light years in the eyes of two five year olds. It was clear the employees didn't know what they were doing. One of them struggled with the ice machine and even after the other girl helped her make the shaved ices, all of them came out with chunky ice. Think cheap snow cone ice, not shaved ice- the kind thats super hard to crunch. Anyway, we went with some friends of ours who had their own separate order, which was messed up. They completely forgot my friend's shaved ice. Fast forward to the actual product and it was not good. I don't know if their syrup was old but it didn't taste like anything but flat soda syrup that had been sitting out a few days. Root beer has a distinct and rather strong flavor so I was surprised it tasted like nothing but sugar. They didn't just drizzle the condensed milk, they poured it throughout. I ended up throwing the entire thing away after two bites (and yes, I dug to the bottom thinking the flavor was down there). My son couldn't crunch the ice because it was so chunky and ended up throwing his away as well. I tried my daughter's, and while she seemed to like it, I thought the flavors were ridiculously sweet and artificial. I've had some really good shaved ice before and this is not it. I will say, the employees were very friendly and apologetic and one of them refunded my money, and for that I gave them another star. All in all, the employees weren't the issue. It's better training and better quality ingredients that the shop needs."
"I got a root beer float for my aunt and a hot fudge malt for myself. They were delicious and my aunt shared her float with her beloved dog. The service was quick and efficient through the drive thru. I've never been inside but this is my favorite location"
"The Brunch Box-Chicken Ceaser Wrap -Chicken and Waffle Sammy-Avocado Toast-Alcohol infused FroyoHonestly, this whole experience was amazing! It's family-owned, and the employees were so sweet and helpful! They also have food for many dietary preferences, and a robot delivered our food, which was super cool! It's worth going! Super kid friendly as well!"

While at Aksarben for their concert series, we supported by Freezing Thai for the first time. Although we were impressed by the range of their menu and tea offerings, we stuck with our original craving: rolled ice cream. The store front is relatively small, but they offer a side room with additional seating. You also have several options throughout Aksarben for outdoor seating! The line was long, but moved quickly. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and happy to answer questions about the menu. They make the ice cream behind a glasses-in counter, toward the back of the store. Watching them make and roll each concoction is a fun way to pass the time while you wait for your order. The ice cream itself is fun - it's super frosty and light, piled with toppings and full of color. As other reviewers mentioned, there are lots of flavor options to choose from and you'll most likely find something to satisfy everyone. As for the flavor, we tried the Key Lime and Mango Tango, and both were lacking the kind of knock-out flavor that we were looking for in an ice cream. If you prefer a more subtle flavor that blooms a bit as the ice cream melts, this may be a great option for you. I couldn't really taste a mango flavor outside of the fruit pieces that were piled on top,m. My husband said the same about the graham cracker and lime syrup he watched them fold into his key like pie. The texture was fun and the process was definitely unique, but I think I'm more likely to return to try their teas or food than I am to sample more of the ice cream.

Just excellent, everything you'd want from an ice cream place. Enthusiastic staff, delicious ice cream (though I recommend the basic flavors more than the special seasonal concoctions, but that's my own preference).I had the monster cookie in a waffle cone and it was magnificent. Single scoop is plenty. We took ours to go but the atmosphere seemed fun and welcoming. Also it's right next to my favorite coffee place in town, The Mill, so if you're planning a perfect date, I highly recommend a double-feature, ice cream and coffee.

Mixins is a great place to have some rolled iced cream. They have a lot of different flavors and choices for you to choose from which is great but for if you are like me it might be a little overwhelming. I had the strawberry cheesecake one, I forget what they call them since each flavor have a unique play on words based on the ingredients and a popular sayin, this is probably my favorite thing! One thing that I wish they would improve is better handling of crowds and and the parking is not very good, you usually have to park a couple a blocks away which is not their fault but it would be nice if it had a dedicated spot.

On a motorcycle ride through the area and I wanted a good, locally owned restaurant to visit for lunch (and a break from the heat). The waitress met me at the table with a smile and the menu and within seconds I had a big glass of iced tea in my hand. Stellar service!I ordered the Enchiladas Michuacanas with lingua (cow tongue). Don't knock it until you've tried it. Lingua rocks. The enchiladas came with rice and refried beans, topped with lettuce and avocado slices and a Mexican crema. Absolutely great!I couldn't imagine leaving without some deliciously creamy ice cream. I chose the Nuez (butter pecan) flavor in a cup. So good and just what I needed. All of that for less than $10? Inconceivable! But true!

"How is this ice cream so good? Such a cute location too. Don't be intimidated if you see a line out the door, they are a well oiled machine and get you through quick!"
"This place is fantastic! I have seen the rolled ice cream videos all over the place but never really thought much of it. The idea seemed to be another version of Cold Stone which I have had many times and am pretty mid on honestly. But I took the family hear for a quick treat to kill some time and I am converted!I was so wrong about rolled ice cream and this place is the reason my eyes were opened. It was delicious! Just a perfect combination of flavors. We tried 4 different kinds and every single one was brilliant. Come here to get desert and a free show and you will not walk out disappointed. They are getting added heavily to our rotation. I personally recome y the chunky monkey. Peanut butter and banana with caramel. The absolute perfection of salty sweet and creamy."
"Great service. The place was totally packed with people and the staff handled it like a champ"
"This place is amazing. Kids loved the place. Will be back again and again. So many different flavors of ice cream. You can not go wrong. And square ice cream. I have never seen that before and loved the idea. The lady running the counter was very professional and very friendly. She definitely needs to get a raise for her dedication I seen in just one visit. Top of the line!"
"I had to try their mangonada here after seeing all the tempting photos! Unfortunately the chamoy sauce on it was a little too intense for me. I did love the everything else about it though! The fresh mango, the two scoops of mango sorbet, and the tamarind candy straw were so so good. My friend got the second smallest cup size for ice cream for $2 and it came with 2 scoops as well! It makes me wonder how many come with the three larger cup sizes after it, dang! You will LOVE their mango sorbet if you like mangos, there's even some fibrous pieces in it so you know they definitely used real mangos to make it.Also, might want to note that the workers here don't seem to speak much English. My friend asked her what's good here and she just kind of smiled and didn't answer. But don't let that stop you from giving this place a try!"
"What a smalltown gem! My fiance and I first discovered Dairy Chef last year, despite having been through this area several times before. I'm fond of the catfish strips, while my fiance likes the pork tenderloin sandwich. Last time we were here, we tried the corn nuggets. We like to see rural Nebraska, so we use Syracuse as our stopping point for a bite to eat, then continue on our way. Also noteworthy is their Tornado, a Blizzard-like ice cream treat. They have varying flavors of soft serve, so try the mint with Heath in a Tornado if you are feeling adventurous. There are a variety of other standard fare ice cream treats available, too.I highly recommend Dairy Chef when anyone is in the area. They make the entrees fresh, so it's always high-quality here."
"Tastee Treat is one of those great neighborhood ice cream shops you visit for a summer nightcap of ice cream with a side of nostalgia. This establishment dates back to the '50s and offers up a variety of grill fare along the lines of BBQ, sandwiches and fried sides. For dinner I order a BBQ combo consisting of a sandwich, side and drink for $8.88. The BBQ sandwich is a Rotella's bun with BBQd pork, chicken or brisket. The combo is splitable if you add dessert into the meal equation. They get bonus points for offering unlimited sauce. Ice cream is the real draw for me. Their malts are hit and miss; be sure to ask for extra malt powder just in case. Otherwise, their soft serve is tasty and the price is right. They also offer hard packed ice cream options. The ambiance inside and out is rustic, with a handful of booths and televisions inside. There is additional outdoor seating at benches in the back. Service has been consistently good.Tastee Treat is located conveniently near the Wabash Trace Natural Trail trail head and just 1 mile off I-29.A note: I'm frustrated that a 1-star review lacking details on a comprehensive experience brings down the rating for this place. For the record: a combo with a burger, side and drink is $7."
"I went to their food truck off of 60th and Center in the Primo's parking lot. I got the unicorn ice cream and my sister got the lady mango. Very delicious! Courteous staff as well."
"This is a local hot spot for the neighborhood, selling everything from corn on the cob to ice cream. The menu board sits behind the counter and they have pretty much all the basic Mexican foods: taco,s burritos, nachos, Mexican corn on the cob or in a cup, Mexican ice cream, and Mexican drinks. The menu is in Spanish and the ladies behind the counter struggled to understand my English, so I enlisted the help of a bilingual youngster in line next to me to order. We were the only non-Hispanic customers at the time we dined in, so there were plenty of options of people I could have asked for help!Great mom and pop type operation. May not be worthy of a special visit but I would recommend it if you are in the area for a quick bite/snack."
"Great selection of milk & iced teas, slushies, lemonades, Açaí bowls, ice cream, milk shakes & a few snack food items like chicken nuggets & Cajun fries that are prepared in an air fryer! I think there's something for everyone to try here! Our server Milan was fantastic! She explained a lot of the drink flavors, ingredients & how they are made. Super helpful with my dairy intolerance. This is a cute little store with a lot of refreshments near a busy Walmart store off 168th Maple. I'm looking forward to going back soon!!"
"Wonderful ice cream shop staffed mostly by individuals with special needs. Just opened in September of this year and has been extremely popular. The shop rotates 8 flavors of ice cream and serves ice cream in the form of scoops, banana splits, brownie splits, floats, malts, and shakes. I shared a banana split which came with three generous ice cream scoops and three toppings. Delicious flavors, great service, and wonderful mission. What an addition to downtown Hastings and reminder of why this community is so phenomenal!"
"Great little spot in Fallbrook for a stroll or quick hang out spot to get out of the house. Simple good fresh delicious ice cream, great flavors, tasty waffle cones and toppings and great service, also have to go pints!!"
"A new ice cream shop in Lincoln on the corner of 10th & South in the old Little King. They have ice cream and other Mexican desserts plus tacos, burritos and some other meal items. The space is decorated with colorful accents and the staff is friendly. There is also a drive thru.I had a scoop of pistachio ice cream and a scoop of mango ice cream. My daughter had rainbow ice cream. We are excited to have La Monarcha in the neighborhood and will be back!"
"It took me several months to visit the new Sonic because I was angry that they moved further away from me. I finally got over it and decided to try the new location today for lunch. I'm glad I did. Side note, I'm surprised I'm the first to review this new location. If you are south of Adams, go north on 84th St, and you'll see Sonic on the right side from 84th St. Turn right on Market St. My impression of the new location is it looks more modern. I am indifferent about the new appearance, but it does look very clean because it's new. Hopefully the staff keeps it that way. I ordered ahead of time with the app. All I had to do was check in when I pulled in a stall. I was happy to see that the Sonic Smashers are still available. They are even better than the original Sonic cheeseburgers. I ordered the tater tots as my side, and they are even better. I don't know if that's because of the new equipment, but they are a bit softer and a bit bigger. I still want Sonic to season to their tots. Amigos, Taco Johns, and Taco Inn all have an advantage over Sonic simply because they season their tots. As for the service, I didn't have to wait very long for my food after checking in. It seems like the new location has a good start. I hope they keep up the good work."
