"After Frank the barber left town mysteriously, I was rightfully worried I wouldn't find a place to cut my hair. After a few months of living like a bohemian, my naturally curly hair grew bushy. I didn't mind when people ran to the other side of the street when I strolled along a sidewalk, or when my girl friend's family left out of the group photos. However when my cat stopped recognizing me, I knew it was time to find my new Frank. I tried a lot of barbers shops and they didn't have the authenticity of Crosscuts. I always have a hard time finding a place to cut my hair due to the curl and these guys do it right every time. It's located right next to Backline Comedy Theater, so I get my haircut and hit a show."

"Had an amazing experience for both trial and day of my wedding!!! Their makeup station is small but they had the schedule set so as one girl got her hair done another got makeup. The staff did such a beautiful job especially accommodating the photographers. Make up turned out beautiful, all of the girls looked amazing. Staff was great and super friendly!!! Would definitely recommend for special events!!!"

She and another esthetician share a room in this salon (they work at different times in the day). Cara also provided me with a 20% coupon for my next visit there, which I have already redeemed. Compared to other places I've been to, her prices are very reasonable and she is my favorite. I've come back multiple times and know I can count on her skills."

"This was my first experience not only at Bungalow 8 but also at this type of hair salon as I have spent the last 40 years at places like Sports Clips, Great Clips etc. I decided to grow my hair out and finally felt I needed a more professional spot with greater talent. No offense to any other place as they have served me well for years. I called to make an appointment and as expected they are booked out pretty well but depends who you want to see. My wife recommended Elise. I was quite nervous coming into it and Elise did a fantastic job. Very easy going and helpful. I highly recommend her and will feel much more at ease for my next cut."

"I was in the area and decided to take advantage of an offer to receive a haircut at this salon. Past reviews on Yelp weren't very good and I did realize that the last review was back in 2018. I decided to take a chance and make an appointment. The facility looks clean and individual stations are leased by stylists. My stylist took the time to discuss how I wanted my hair to look, my type of hair texture, and how to best achieve the look I wanted. I've had average haircuts and one in a long while, I will get a real bad stylist. I was pleasantly surprised to get a great result and a person who took their time and frequently asked questions during the cut. I will most likely be returnimg back soon."

"What a hidden gem! Sarah is fantastic - outgoing, professional, fun, and so good at cut and color. My hair was long, thick, and in need of a color spruce up, and she did exactly what I was hoping for! Sarah used some of the latest techniques she recently learned at a continuing education event, and was very informative with color-care.Not only is she fantastic with hair, but there are some incredibly unique details at ONE Salon worth mentioning: they recycle color product, they recycle the hair they've cut to soak up oil spills, and Sarah offers paid maternity leave for all the stylists! She's proud to support local businesses and products, too!"

"Came here with a large wedding party for hair and makeup the day of the wedding. Jennifer did a nice job with my hair. It didn't need a lot but she made sure it was going to stay. Corinthia did a good job on my friends hair. Too bad her hair is super heavy and fell out just before the reception. It looked beautiful for pictures though.The pricing was pretty good. It did take longer but that is ok because the students are still learning. The teachers were pleasant but stretched for the amount of people we had in the party getting their hair and makeup done. Overall pretty good experience."

The salon is fairly new so it's very up-to-date and clean - there's even a selfie wall! :)My hair smelled great from the shampoo and the product used, and came out exactly how I wanted. There are other services here as well, including professional makeup, airbrushed makeup, nails, hair extensions, and I believe waxing. Would absolutely recommend for whatever your beauty need! "This is a great place get your new "trendy" looks. I have gone several times and I never come out disappointed. You can get the same person for a while, but as they graduate you sort of lose them, which is the only downfall. You would think that because it's a school, the prices would be great, however...I have had them add up my hair color to over 100 bucks, which was what I paid my ritzy pro in Orange County so I really wish they'd drop their prices being that they are students working on you. Also, everything takes 3 times longer so...if you are planning on a hair color, plan on being there at least 3 hours."
