"Nice little grocery store/butcher shop. Great selection of hot foods too: lots of meat dishes, tamales, beans and rice, elote. Oh, and you can walk through the store to the International Bakery next door!Staff are nice and are helpful, there might be a bit of a language barrier but everything will work out."
"This is some of the best jerky I've ever had! Super tasty and flavorful. They offer a wide range of fun flavors. I've seen these guys at the Farmers Market in Omaha many times, but finally pulled the trigger and bought some from their online shop. I really got to give them a shoutout for great customer service. They are QUICK! Like next day delivery! I ordered a few bags as a Father's Day gift yesterday and they arrived this morning! So great! So far they flavors I've tried are Applewood, Mild Hickory, Peppered. Applewood is my favorite so far, but I'm looking forward to trying the flavors I picked for my dad - Teriyaki and Black Pepper & Garlic. If you need a last minute gift for a dad in your life, this place will not disappoint!"
"This Cubby's location just can't stack up to the Old Market location. They have a hot case of fried goodies, an A-OK beer and wine selection and just about any other miscellaneous good you might need on your way home. But that's about it. No fresh produce. No meat counter. No craft beer cooler. And their fried food offerings seem to cater to kids and contractors -- chicken fingers anyone? Sheesh."
"A little on the pricey side, but I really dug the updates they did for this location. Spacious and really cool almost chandelier like light fixtures as opposed to the same old fluorescents. Aisles are a little longer than most so it made my shopping time longer. Nothing too out of the ordinary offered but spacious parking lot and friendly people who take your groceries to your car and unload them, I'll be back."
"FRIED CHICKENFried fucking chicken r dF i e Ch i c n k eI am so whippy in the head after eating this wonderful fried chicken just goddamn fried chicken you pick up in the deli but it's good. I would not put in a review of a grocery store if the fried chicken weren't worth moving your ass all the way to the back to the deli to get it.Plus good selection of foodstuffs, esp Mexican stuff like fresh tortillas, always get *really fresh* eggs ya know the Eggland's Best, betteran avg liquor selection, beer section used to be located on the spot where my grandmother's house was (razed to build this joint many years ago). Some kinda karma there, as she disapproved of my drug of choice. All the Somali and Sudanese cats shop here too, so I really like the mix of people as I push ye olde shopping cart around."
"Haven't been in here for some time; this may have been an oversight. Extremely friendly owner, although communication may be a problem (we were looking for dried lotus buds and couldn't make ourselves clear). Stock isn't as big as some of the other stores, but the owner was extremely helpful and suggested we pick up some of the premade peanut sauce (available in veg or nonveg version) and talked us through how to make dinner out of it (buy some rice noodles, some green onion, maybe do an egg drop as the noodles finish cooking). I don't know that I'll buy a $10 tub of homemade peanut sauce again any time soon, but I got dinner out of it, and it was very tasty."
"I absolutely love the freshness of their meats and chorizo for barbecuing on nice days ...customer service is always so friendly and pleasant ...they have self checkout but (wait for it.........) a real person ....yes a REAL person as well... I am willing to wait for great service too! Fresh made tortillas made in-house...and the paintings and decor is so unique and beautiful...like a breath of fresh air in Mexico! ...I always find my authentic items ..."
"Much larger store size than I was expecting! Fresh meat (or at least defrosted and not frozen rock solid-though there is plenty of frozen meats too) and produce available at this location, more than the Salween Thai Grocery down the street. Catering more toward Hmong and Thai and more southeast asian communities and less Chinese, Korean, and Japanese products. Another good store to have in my pocket for when I need a last min item like cilantro and green onions etc. But doesn't have all my usual things I purchase (yet does have a lot of it)!Good to know about. I liked that they had whole fish-no filet here, shrimp (defrosted in deli case) and live blue crab. I consider this store an "in between". Less items than New Asian supermarket and Asian Market here in town, but much more product than a small one such as Salween."
"This small but stocked supermarket probably has everything you need for your next Mexican dinner! It's near-impossible to find specific chile powders at the standard grocers in Lincoln, but Guerrero has a Mi Costeñita rack jam packed with the usual Hispanic ingredients. Wander around the store so you find the little side- and end-caps that have even more products to add to the collection. They stock dried tamarind pods, piloncillo, an entire aisle of hot sauce, and the necessary items for your next recipe. There's a hefty fresh and frozen meat selection, and a modest amount of pre-cooked meats as well. This is between Nevería Arcoiris and a Pan Dulce shop, so you can even pick up dessert on your trip!"
"Tidy little store that is definitely more for a certain type of shopper. Here you can find ethic spices and dry goods to use for cooking. The space is small, but they make the most of it. There are some meats here (It is considered Halal- fresh and locally (?) sourced). Overall, small specialty neighborhood grocer to serve the needs of locals. You likely will not be able to do all your grocery needs in this one spot- but Halal is important and hard to find in other regular stores."
"I don't know much about cooking Indian food but this place seemed very well stocked with spices frozen stuff and cooking items for at least a good chunk of Indian cooking. There is a small section for fresh produce but I think it focuses mainly on common ingredients and it's not very extensive. The reason that I came to check this out was on recommendation of an Indian friend who said the little deli eatery inside of the grocery store was a must try. It did not disappoint as the freshly cooked food was delicious and the little area to sit was more than accommodating on a cold day. This type of dish would not do well to go so it was nice that they have a place where you can stay and eat. Highly recommend for all your Indian cooking needs + affordable and tasty Hot meal."
"I LOVE this place so much! Can we just say "authentic"??? Their tamales, their beans, rice, fresh bread, fresh tortillas, fresh cheese, and OMG their amazing chips and hot, mild and green salsa...DELICIOUS....it had to be day TODAY..for the Huskers Game...parking is great...right on a corner!"

Love coming here for my carne asada, rice, beans, and real anything I need for grilling out! And not to mention the carnitas (usually needs salt, but nonetheless delicious) whenever I want to make some tacos or tortas. The people here are always friendly and its nice to know that a mask is required to enter. And a bonus that I can get a chicharrón preparado, some cut up mango with tajin, or an elote here.

The gentleman that sells the smoking gun Jerky at the farmers market in Omaha is a kind guy. =) Most of the jerky products are gluten free and relatively healthy. He'll let you sample the different flavors that range from mild and plain to burn your mouth off hot for most normal people. (If you're not normal like my husband he says they're not spicy)Price wise for a 3oz bag you'll pay $7 and I believe he has a combo price for it. He also sells beef sticks but the casing is made with gluten and I cannot eat those anymore. He sells those $2 each or 3 for $5. My only complaint is they're really salty. The packet says 105mg sodium per 28g (1 ounce) but they taste WAY saltier than that. Not bad for an occasional treat.

Cubby's is a good little gas station and convenience store. It is located right off the interstate, and has a lot pumps, including diesel. It includes a car wash as well. The convenience store has a decent selection of snacks, soda and beer (but no real micro brews). They also carry some wine, and a small selection of liquor as well (behind the counter). They do offer some in house food options as well...fried chicken, pizza, etc. Overall, it is a decent little place, and is open 24/7 (even on Holidays) so no matter when you need something, this place is open.

I've shopped here and at the old location for years and must say that deli loses a TON of business for this store! People constantly walk away and not order anything as it takes them forever and a day to do anything. Suuuuuuuper slow.

If you like stores that look like an absolute dumpster and staff members that treat you like garbage, then this is the perfect place for you to shop! Also backpacks are not allowed in the store, so if you're a person who's only form of transport is a bicycle and you use a backpack to carry groceries, shop somewhere else like Hy-Vee or Wal-Mart! You won't be welcome here, they'll very rudely tell you, backpacks aren't allowed and kick you out.

First i'd like to say, This is my favorite Asian market in lincoln, especially if you are looking for Japanese and Korean goodies because this is the only place where i could find, Eel, unagi sauce, sweet fried tofu pouches, and tobiko roe. I'd been searching and searhing all over and thank heaven i found this place. The store is tiny but super clean and doesnt smell like most asian stores do. I was greeted by the store owner who is the sweetest lady i have ever met. She was so sweet and welcoming, she told me if i needed anything to ask her, and she did help me out a bit with piking up my groceries, then she even went as far as to say if i had any question on how to prepare a certain dish just ask and she would tell me. She was soooo nice. I definately would go back there again

Would it be too much to ask for some entreprenurial grocery store owner to open an international food megaplex somewhere in Omaha? Well, until someone runs with that suggestion, I'm adding yet another grocery stop to my weekend To Do list. The newest addition my Tour de Grocery circuit is this brightly lit grocery store that features the mega tortilla maker crankin' out fresh discs of goodness in yellow corn, white corn and flour. The produce section is nice and features your standard Omaha produce selection, as well as a few specialized items and foods you don't normally see in bulk at the stores in suburbia. In my opinion, the best feature is the meat counter. Nothing makes me more happy than the ability to buy some odds and ends (literally) I need to make my own stock for a decent bowl of ramen or pho at home. They do sell salsas and baked goods, but I didn't get to give it a go since I had a trunk full of salsa, frijoles and pastries from my fav locations on 24th Street.Easy to find. Ample parking. Friendly service.

Good prices, good selection and a convenient location that caters to the surrounding community. If there're a few niche items you need to pick up for a recipe, or you're looking to beef up your cookware arsenal, Asian Family Market has you covered. There's fresh produce, a meat counter, plenty of frozen food (including dim sum!), select to-go hot meals and aisles of dry goods. Plus cigarettes, snacks, sugary drinks, hot plates, grills, etc. No booze, however, so if Asian beer and spirits are what you're after, look elsewhere.

"Our office building is right across the street from Leon's so we visit often! I try oh I try to remember to pack a lunch or get myself to go grocery shopping elsewhere because yes it is a bit more expensive, but in a pinch or when you're in the mood for some comfort food from the deli hot case, it's a great resource to have. I often find things here I might find in a health market or specialty store, like crackers or chips or special sauces. Even the butter my husband LOVES to ship in from Europe is available on the shelves. That being said, sometimes the deli food is a little hit or miss. Even the same dishes aren't consistent. Mac and cheese is amazing on most days, but sometimes it's eh. Just last week I had some yummy beef and noodles (I picked out the celery) and when I just want something plain, I'll get chicken strips with mashed potatoes. They also don't have many veggie options, wish they did, especially because dinners come with two sides and I often go for two starches if there isn't a veggie option. So as far as being healthy, yeah, not so much. As I write this review I'm eating some sort of an Alfredo noodle, mushroom soup, ham mixture and it's not really as good as I had hoped for. The meatloaf is almost always pretty good and the menu constantly changes so you're in for a real treat or surprise each time you visit. As far as the pre made sandwiches and sandwich spreads, I have sampled a few. I really like the ham salad (it's actually bologna not ham) and the chicken salad (which is actually turkey) but one time I had the salmon spread and it made me very sick. Some things are super fresh, some things not so much. I also often times get freshly sliced deli ham and make a lettuce wrap.As another reviewer mentioned, Leon's has its own distinct smell. It's more old versus fried chicken but yeah, I don't really like that part of it. But there is a nice selection of gourmet meats and cheeses. Sometimes I've found spoiled produce, which is to be expected at any grocery really. I have yet to try any of the meat from the butcher but I've heard they have some of the best cuts! One thing I can say with confidence is the customer service is top notch. The ladies in the deli (sometimes there is a young boy or two back there and they aren't as friendly) are awesome. It takes me forever to make a selection, they are patient. Sometimes I like to try things, and they let me no problem. Sometimes I ask for a little more and they oblige. I visit often but even from the beginning, they strived to remember me and treat me like a regular or a friend. And the cashiers are always very helpful and if I happen to run into the manager, he knows I'm from across the street and greets me. It's a great neighborhood market, albeit a bit pricey, worth a visit now and again. I have yet to go for one of their foodie Fridays where you get to sample the goodies. I hope to make one soon. They also have a great deal during the summer where they grill burgers, brats, hot dogs and steak skewers outside and serve up a cold drink and chips. I don't remember the cost but it's pretty cheap and the meats are top quality."
"This carniceria has everything you need to reproduce a south Texas fajita dinner in Nebraska (and we did!). They have a nice selection of beef skirt and chicken pre-mixed with red/green bell peppers and onions to help save you time on the prep! They also have all the veggies/produce you need as well as many other grocery items. This place is legit = once inside, you literally can't tell if you are in Omaha, NE or Harlingen, TX."
"What a wonderful find. I was out and about shooting pics of local Omaha developments and saw this store at the end of the strip mall to the south of the new Walmart Neighborhood Store. I had a classmate who was from Nigeria, so I knew just a little about West African cuisine, to which it appears this store caters. The first person I encountered was Felix, the owner from Nigeria, who helped me remember Fufu and other foods. A very friendly smile I hope to see again once I research a little more about certain ethnic dishes and spices and return with more questions... Felix gave me homework: How to make Jollof Rice, and find an Americanized name for Achi, the later which may not exist."
"This store recently had an layout update and it makes so much for sense! I love shopping for everything here. It's a little out of my way so I don't come here often, but then I end up shopping for an hour leaving with the most random things. I love their cheeses and random kids assortment goodies. They also have an excellent wine selection. This new layout is much easier to shop. They also updated their bags to be bigger plastic sacks. Still 10 cents a bag but worth it...also pay the quarter and get the cart, because you're going to need it."
"This place is tucked away in a strip mall at 84th and F streets. I'd read other yelper reviews and wanted to try some of their made-to-order food. So I go in and the store is actually pretty tiny, but stocked with all kinds of Middle Eastern goods. A lot of canned and jarred food with quite a bit of frozen/refrigerated offerings thrown in for good measure. I didn't see a hot case or a kitchen, so I had to ask the man working there (I assume he's the owner) if they had hot food. He said yes and pointed to a laminated menu taped to the front counter. Now we're in business! I ordered a shourma beef ($3.50) and a falafel ($3) and the man disappeared in the back for about 5 minutes. So I browsed a bit, grabbed a couple cans of Vimto and a candy bar -- this needs to be a complete meal, right?Once he returned to ring me up, he mentioned to check out his Facebook page for weekly updates on their stock, which changes fairly often from what I gathered. Also, if you don't want to wait on your food order, he suggested calling ahead. Cool fava beans. So when I got home and dived into my food I was happy to find out that he makes a mean shourma beef. It's subtly spiced and tasty processed beef, some veggies and sauce wrapped in homemade flat bread. The falafel was along the same lines, just swap the beef for -- you guessed it -- falafel balls. Humble and delicious -- the best kind of food out there, in my opinion.I'll definitely back soon. And, like Sarah G said in her review, I'm dying to try their pizza!"
"no matter who owns this it will always be kiamans to me and to all who value great service the kiaman guys created a warm loving safe place to be where everyone could be happy to shop (though the music was a bit oldies ) it was and is a still a great place even though a cold corporation ones it and cares for no one we miss u harold and jerry"
"One of the best grocery stores in Omaha. A bit out of the way, but their meat alone is well worth the trip. Always fresh, and not pumped full of colorants and whatnot to make old meat look "pretty" (yes, some grocery brands here in Omaha do that). The prices are moderate -- not the most expensive, but not always rock-bottom either. The quality makes the prices worth it, better quality produce, meat, etc than higher priced places. And their sales are always really good. The selection is a bit lacking, as this isn't a huge store. I can deal with that, though. Be aware, though, that no Fareways are open on Sundays. Never have been. So plan accordingly."
"It is simply ok. Sometimes it is kinda dirty. When i go here... i insert eyes in the back of my head because there are a handful of questionable characters lurking. Also prepare a lie or an excuse for all the beggers outside... as they will try to suck u dry of your loose change. If you want to run in and get something. Go here. The prices are kinda higher but that is to be expected for a neighborhood grocerer. Some feel that they are taking advantage of the population that can't afford to go to travel to other grocers. I am sure Wal mart will give them a run for their mulah."
"If you want a delicious meal on the cheap in a no frills environment, look no further than Amigo's Market. Come here for delicious pupusas, tamales and more. There are two sections to Amigo's - one side is a cozy little market where you can pick up your basic groceries. The other side houses a restaurant where you can watch the cook(s) make your food up fresh right in front of you. Being located at 21st and Q makes it a little off of the usual South O the beaten path, but it's definitely worth the visit. Because, well, deliciousness."
"Exactly why you want from your local store great deals, great selection, and always helpful associates. They always have deals on alcohol and meat. This is always my first choice when grocery shopping!"
"There is not much in this store, I bought a pastry and it was not edible, hard and dried out. Nothing else to add."
"This is your only real option when it comes to groceries in Avoca. Thankfully the prices aren't terrible and the produce seems to be rather fresh. They have some decent deals each week so that is always a plus. My complaint would be as a "city girl" I have issues finding all the things I would want/need. They have greatly improved their selection over the years. The employees for the most part are nice, although their cashiers tend to be rather rude. The store itself is clean and the deli food is decent. I recommend it. =)"
"Dirty dirty dirty!!They need to clean up very badly. The crowd is very sketchy. But I suppose if you are in the area and need a quick purchase then this is acceptable. They own the other sketchy grocery stores in North Omaha as well."
"I really like this little market. The people are really nice. They have a good selection of products. Its always important to know where to get my Ibarra chocolate. There is a small produce section but it has things you won't find at HyVee or Bakers: nopales being a standout. This is my go to spot for carnitas. I buy a pound (or 2) of carnitas, plus bean, rice, red & green salsa and my friends and we have a carnitas feast. Its really good, cheap & easy. They also make their own chorizo, which I've been meaning to try. I hope to try it soon & update my review."
"I live in CB and normally shop at the CB Aldi but there was a limited batch of wine that was out and CB's location only had one left, which I bought, and I wanted more. So I took the short trip to this Aldi to see if they had any and behold, they had one left, which I snatched up.The cashier was super nice when I made the purchase and was very responsive when I asked her questions about future shipments and whatnot."
"Nice small town feel grocery store especially after the recent updates!!! Staff is friendly and service is great!! You get to the car carry out grocery service which is something that is hard to find anymore! Decent selection of products! And great selection of local products!! Deli service is great! Especially with the newer manager! Bakery is top notch!! Have ordered many cakes from here and they have always been amazing and really reasonable!!! Overall nice small town feel of a store and great associates!!!"
"Daddy's Neighborhood Fresh Market is a small grocery store with local produce, about 90% of it being organic. I was warmly greeted at the door by a gentleman who explained it was hard for local farmers to produce certified organic foods, but that is what they are trying to bring to this area of Omaha. You can easily pass it up on Radial Hwy, since the sign s pretty small, but it is on the SE corner of 48th and Radial Hwy. Parking out front is dangerous along the Hwy, but I did see a lot in the back which I presume you can park. I hope they do well in this location."
"Saw that they have pizza now, nabbed myself a slice and it was really tasty. Toppings were great, and had a good ratio of cheese, sauce and meat. It's a little greasy but as most pizza is. Definitely Worth a try ! The kitchen is a new addition and looks good. And Danny always gives the best customer service. Makes you feel like a friend or family when you're in there. Pizza 6.5/10 service 10/10."
"Part of the greater "Saigon Plaza" this Little Saigon Oriental Market is everything but little. It goes far deeper than the outside would suggest, showcasing everything from dishware to fresh produce and Vietnamese snacks. Every semi-large to small city in America should have a place like this.Prices are affordable and the selection is pretty decent. I wouldn't venture beyond any basics for Asian ingredients and I would keep my expectations to most things SE Asian or Vietnamese at best. (i.e. don't come looking for Korean gochujang or Japanese bonzai, etc.) The people who run the place are lovely, just beware that English is not their first language. Credit card charges are best for bulk purchases ($10+).Parking is also good, but not great. While there are a few spots out front for the renovated "Saigon Plaza" bit, the weekends can be a bit of a zoo since the market is adjacent to a popular pho spot. Thankfully, there is neighborhood street parking around the corner."
"They have a huge collection of middle eastern and Indian foods . The main reason I went there was to get Halal Beef and Chicken. The Beef seemed to be real fresh , the chickens were not so recent . But I will recommend anyone looking for Halal foods to visit here. The Staffs are friendly and helpful."
"I was in the market for some arrachera skirt steak so I headed out where there were a couple of markets. I stopped in and found the store to be super clean and had an amazing staff that was willing to help. While there I also took the time to get some homemade refried beans and rice to take home with me to wrap the meal all together. The butcher behind the counter asked me if I wanted the meat marinaded or plain so it comes either way you like. I personally have a marinade I make so I skipped on theirs. There are plenty of options here and no matter what your in the market for Im willing to bet they have what you need. Even if you don't have time to cook it yourself they have food prepared you can take to go."
"Cute store, very clean and organized. We didn't find anything to purchase on our visit, but we also were going to be in the car all day so had to be choosy about things we might have been interested in.I hadn't visited before, it was smaller than I expected. I had hoped for more selection, but hadn't really checked into it to get a full idea of what products they carried."
"This is a really nice and clean store. I remember when they were putting it in and building up this new area a few years ago. Time flies but I never made it around to go there until recently. They have quite the selection and variety on everything from groceries to alcohol. The employees seem bright and friendly. The area is really nice. If I could live anywhere in Lincoln I'd probably choose this area. Definitely will be back on future visits! :)"
