"If you are wanting a sweet treat, but are being a little health conscious or are on a high protein diet or gluten free, then O Cookie Os might be right for you!They are definitely more donut like than cookie like, so don't let the name fool you. They are a wayyy more dense version of a donut, I'm guessing due to the added protein and good stuff they have in there.We stumbled upon them at a night market, and the proprietors were very friendly and explained each of the items to us that we were looking at.Their branding is super cute, with the cookies going in a little black and white box with a red bow and clear window showing you your goodies. We ended up ordering four O Cookie Os:-O Daddy O: This was a butterscotch flavor and it was VERY butterscotchy. If you're a fan of that flavor, you will love this one. It was a little dry for my taste, but once I had it with my morning coffee, it did go pretty well with that.-O Sunny O: The name on this one is very apt because it's a super "sunny" flavor, with an orange creamsicle taste. I don't usually like citrus and cream together, but this one actually worked well with that combo.-O Monster O: Just like a Monster Cookie! This one was my favorite and was most similar to a normal cookie flavor, with M&Ms, chocolate chips, and peanut butter. So good. The base is an oatmeal cookie style flavor, making it more crumbly than dense like the rest of the O Cookie Os we had.-O Sprinkly O: This one was like a sugar cookie with sprinkles on it, like a birthday cake. It was the most "mellow" flavor of all of the ones we tried, because of the light flavor of the sugar cookie base. If you're looking for a light flavored treat but with a lot of protein (11g!), then this could be your favorite.These aren't the same as normal cookies or normal donuts that you're probably used to; they are definitely more dense and have a little flavor of something added in, but that is the point of them. If you are on a gluten free or high protein diet, or just a little more health conscious, these could be a good sweet treat option for you!"
"The Sorcerer's Cone is a top notch ice cream and treats option - make sure to try it if ever you see them at an event!I visited them at the Nebraska Brewing Company summer night market, and we ordered a few things. They offer ice cream cones in different Harry Potter house colors. I picked the Hufflepuff because it came in a black vanilla cone with cookies and cream ice cream (my fav!)The cones they use are not the kind you find in the box at the grocery store. They are gorgeously decorated with designs - it looked so opulent and fancy on the black cone I had!We also tried some of the floats. The root beer float was amazing, probably due to the high quality ice cream they use, which I also noticed in my Hufflepuff cone. And I tried the Butterbeer Float and - my heavens - that was delicious. A twist on a normal root beer float but with buttery, creamy Butterbeer soda swapped out for the normal root beer. Yum!!The staff was nice and expedient with the orders, they have a fun theme to enjoy, and their ice cream and other treats were beyond tasty. That's an A+ in my book!"
"Our visit to 402 BBQ left a little more to be wanted. They were set up at the Mastercraft building in N. Downtown, and there was a little craft fair going on at the time as well as live music and an "open house" for some of the business there. We wanted to try as many things as we could on the menu between the two of us, so we ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese on top, and sausage/brat with mac and cheese. Perhaps we got there just a little too late, but the food was luke warm when served to us and seemed like the end of the day type service too. The speed was also surprising, I was handed my meal to me immediately as I was paying. Almost TOO quickly. I understand it was BBQ but that was too fast.As far as the brisket and the pulled pork- A OK! Nothing to write home about but certainly not bad in the least. The sausage/brat was just a disappointment to me, I thought the casing was rubbery and not snappy, and the temperature was too cold for my taste.I'd give it a try again, but this time I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be."

Maybe it is, but for those who grew up in Omaha and have chomped down their fair share of pizza during travels across the land, we know there is no substitute for a couple good slices -- no, squares -- of La Casa's famous pizza.And now they've brought their comfort food to a curbside near you. I have to admit, of all the restaurants out there launching food trucks, I never expected La Casa to be one of them. But they did. And did it right. Their truck is shiny and new with a limited menu of favorites from their restaurants, from meatball subs to toasted ravioli to a few varieties of pizza, plus gelato for dessert.I stumbled upon them in the parking lot in Benson on a Wednesday night. Starving, I was. Pizza, I had to have. So for $5, I ordered two squares, one sausage and one four cheese. As I took my first bite, I was transported back to a dimly lit dining room in a house converted to a restaurant on Leavenworth street. A few bites later, it was all gone and I was sad and alone sitting on my living room couch. That's the one piece of advice I have -- order more than two squares. Definitely add some onion rings or toasted ravioli or else you'll still be hungry. I mean can you remember the last time you stopped eating after putting down just two squares of La Casa pizza? No, you chomped down half the pie, and you know it."
"Really good new food truck in the South Omaha area. The tacos are stuffed full of meat and 4 for only $10 on Tuesday. I've tried the al pastor, carne asada, shrimp and birria tacos and enjoyed them all. My favorite is al pastor - the meat has a great flavor and I especially like the pineapple. The beans and rice are good as well, and they surprisingly have a pretty good bacon cheeseburger and fries. The truck is located on 36th and Jefferson. Grab some tacos and head into the Outpost Bar right next door for a drink while you eat!"
"We're traveling and wanted to meet a friend for dinner. He suggested Mary Ellen's. I'm so glad he did! This is soul food and you can tell the food is made with love. Everything sounded good, we had a hard time deciding. Hubby ordered the fried catfish, baked beans, and mac'n cheese. I ordered the hot butter wings, greens, and mac'n cheese. Everything was delicious. We talked with the owners and they were very nice people. Great service! We'll definitely be back when we're in Lincoln. I highly recommend. "Tried this at tacotopia. I'll be honest and say that this is the only taco truck we tried there but wow was it mouthwateringly delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly, nestled in cheese and dunked in soup. Got 3 tacos and would have gone back for more if the line wasn't so hot in that heat. Highly recommend for some quick and authentic tacos."
"My first thought a B-B-Q joint in columbus? I was craving bbq but didn't want to drive all the way to omaha. So looked up bbq on google and found Zeekey's Pork in a boat! The owner was the cashier & the waiter, its also small family owned business. The owner also said they do have the best lemonades west of Mississippi so i had to get it! The menu was super easy to read and the owner also very helpful explaining his specials. The food was so amazing bursting with flavors and i would most definitely recommend coming here if your craving some homestyle BBQ!"

The sausage is seasoned to perfection! My personal favorite is the Pollo Loco, and they come on toasted buns. Absolutely delicious and well priced! I appreciate that they change their menu seasonally as well.

Maybe it was just an off day or something but I stopped here to grab a quick snack for lunch in between beers and tried the special of the day meatball sandwich. Overall, meh. It was actually on the cold side, given it was cold outside I didn't expect a scalding hot sandwich but luke warm would have been nice. The flavor was decent but I'll pass next time I see the truck.

I was pleasantly surprised by this truck. I went to a food truck rodeo before where the pizza was 8 dollars a slice so I was afraid that Hawks was going to be the same way. I think their most expensive pizza was about 5 dollars a slice and a one topping slice was less than 4 dollars. I think this truck was really reasonably priced and the pizza pretty good! I would return.

Downtown last night and I saw the beautiful sight in front of me. Was it from the DT's? nope. Was I hammered? Was it an apparition? Nope! It was a blast from the past. My favorite pizza in town was sitting in front of the Hollywood Candy store that some of us frequent. I couldn't believe it. I almost for got to order, was able to have the famous neopolitan style thin crust with both cheeses. If you wonder what that means; La Casa is notorious for using romano cheese. It is hand shredded in house and used extensively in the recipies. The creamy romano dressing for salads is better than anything else I have had. I digress. You can also get gelato on the truck and the salted caramel is as good as Ted and Wally's could be if they went that direction.I am aware this truck is not usually downtown, but in benson, so tracking it down might be worth it, but going to the main location may be easier.TL;DR: La Casa delivered to downtown! (usually dine in or carry out only).

"I happened to be in Lincoln (in the area of Q St & Antelope Valley Pkwy), when I discovered a hidden little gem called Chi Style Kitchen. Maaaan... this has to be one of the best food trucks in town. They serve delicious fried chicken and the customer service is on point. This is a 'must-try' for fried chicken enthusiasts.From the moment I stepped up to the window, I was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady which immediately set the tone for the rest of my experience. The menu had a great selection ( fried chicken, pizza puff, cat fish, etc) to choose from, plus fries and a drink.I decided to go for their 6 piece fried chicken meal, which came with a side of perfectly crispy fries and an orange soda. And let me tell you, the chicken was simply amazing. It was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on and the chicken was so tender that it melted in my mouth.Even though the service is phenomenal, you're going to have to wait at least 10 minutes for your food to cook up. But it's well worth the wait. The young lady was very attentive to every customer and made sure that we were all catered to quickly and with a smile on her face. Definitely pull up if you're in the area. Great food and great service. This food truck has it all - delicious eats and a friendliness that makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. I will definitely be visiting again soon."
"Moots is an unassuming little gem in Countryside Village. Parking was easy and plentiful and, being the back of that complex, was low traffic and quiet.Staff was very genial. A gent I assume was the manager or owner came around to greet us and hear our perspective, which was great. They specialize in thin-crust pizza, and do it well. It's not a cracker with a topping, instead having a foldable crust with wide slices. I like this a great deal, and we enjoyed the pepperoni and the margherita. Sauce was tangy, savory, and thick enough to enjoy. While we bought two pies, one can order single quarter-pizza slices. The beverage selection was good, offering a variety of beer and wine plus sodas. Worth the visit. Will visit again."
"These guys specialize in clever topping combinations on fresh Nebraska beef burgers. The father and daughter team work together and are very friendly and skilled in their craft. I've traveled a couple of times to try their food. And I have tried the whole current menu. I have to recommend the peanut butter burger. It will keep me coming back. They also change up the menu from time to time so it's fun to see what they come up with.And the best part is when they show up to a local fair or carnival because you're not just start eating greasy fried corn dogs and nachos. They bring something fresh and different."

We dig in before taking a pic but there were very good as well. If you are in the area or on a road trip, stop in and give them a try! "I had tried the original Voodoo Taco on North 90th a few months back and already had my vision of what this Food Truck would be like. I was wrong. They are usually in Benson during weekend evenings, but I found them on West Maple this afternoon. I ordered the first two of three tacos listed on their menu (I was told they will add a few more once they figure out how to use the truck room better) and saw two small packaged items at the bottom of my bag. They had four sauces on the table out from, the first was a Habanero Sauce, another was something that I was told was hotter than Ghost Peppers (I avoided even touching that bottle) a sweet chili sauce and another I couldn't decipher. When I finally opened my tacos, they were a regular sized soft shell taco, but crammed filled with ingredients. The Pork Carnitas was just what you would expect, but with nice fresh herbs and onions on top, and the Barbacoa Beef was an evenly seasoned BBQ Taco (and I am not a huge BBQ seasoning fan). I was surprisingly delighted by the tacos, they were above what I was expecting. They are at a variety of places, so you will have to check their Facebook Page to keep up with them."

I had read their menu on their website and was prepared for what wanted, but when I got there they had different items listed, which, for me was a bonus, because they had the 5 I had hoped for from their web site listings. I first tried their Puffy Greek Steak Tacos, which consisted of a fried tortilla shell with steak and a feta cheese salad mixture, that was to die for. Very well done and presented.Next I had their Philly steak Quesadilla, which was not disappointing also. Hard to mess up a Quesadilla, but this was above average in taste and texture. Glad I made the trip today, check their facebook page for location and daily menu. They have maybe 10 menu items, but only serve 5 of those in a given day."
"I hate to say that I totally forgot to write this at the time of us visiting them. We found Ferinheit at the vintageandmadefair.com on Oct. 10th. We found some great stuff that day, saw some great friends and ate some excellent food!We got to the event around 10 am and were hungry. We had heard that Ferinheit was going to be there so we found them and wondered over. They had a breakfast pizza called the "Sunrise". It had pork sausage, egg, bacon and cheddar cheese. I believe it cost around $8.50. It was amazing! Worth every cent! All the breakfast flavors were so great on a wood oven pizza! We will definitely be finding them again, when we hear that they're out and about!"

"Our supper club ventured to Bellevue on a very cold January Tuesday. It was WELL worth the drive. The owner was the only one working as he had dismissed his staff early. Took a while for the food to come out, but when it did, it was very tasty!I got the Loaded Tacos--two very stuffed tacos with great flavor. I went with the hot sauce, which is VERY hot by Midwestern standards, but I loved it. My wife got the Street Tacos - also very flavorful and fresh, and these can be eaten by hand, whereas mine were a challenge!They take cash only, and service was very friendly, but each order is prepared when it's ordered, so it can take a few minutes (probably took about 10-12 minutes to get my order. "We stopped for a quick bite to eat. We both had a smoked brisket taco. It was very good with cilantro sour cream and a sweet chili sauce. My friend doesn't like cilantro but she said it was such a small amount in the sour cream that it was good. The sweet chili sauce was a great flavor for the taco!!! A bit pricey for a taco. A small menu easy to decide. Only bottle soda, no fountain. There isn't anywhere to sit inside but there are a couple chairs and tables outside and it was a nice evening to sit outside and it is in the shade. Service was quick and they will bring your food outside to you. I would probably go again for a snack!"
"My son and I had to finally try what we've been hearing about! My son is a picky eater but he got the Chili Mac and loved it. "I have heard of this Food Truck and finally ran into them today at Cabela's Food Truck Rally. While it may be one of the smaller Food Trucks in the Metro, they have one of the mist varied of menus. With just two people working for this event they steadily got food out in decent time.I would have loved to try numerous items on their menu, I decided to try their signature Supreme Gyro and was not disappointed. They give you a nice portion of gyro meat, cut from their spit with a tasty tzatziki sauce and onions. They roll it to look like an ice cream cone in tin foil so you easily can walk around enjoying your snack.I definitely will hunt them down, on a warmer less windy than today, to try some of their other items!"

"Three Amigas food truck came by the office on a cold and snowy Tuesday. I had a beef enchilada and tamale. The beef enchilada was delicious, nicely spiced. Tamale was OK but a bit dry. Loved the enchilada though, and am eager to try other things when they come back or if I see them around town."

I took the food to go but make sure to get some of the hot sauce, it's amazing! Good portion of food for the price as well. Wish there were a few more veggies, but not the end of the world at all. Usually at teriyaki places like this you end up with lots of cabbage, that wasn't an issue here, which was appreciated."
