"The Candle House offers a super fun activity you can do with friends, an event, a date, with the family, or by yourself! You get to learn a ton about candle making, smell so many amazing scents, and leave with your very own candle with a scent you created yourself.The building is super cute from the inside and out. The white barn-wood looking exterior starts the warm comfy feelings before you even walk in. And then when you enter, it's the sweetest interior ever, with all the candles, oils, and scents taking over your senses.To do the candle making process, you will start with a small sheet/form, and you'll get to go around and smell the little sample candles of each scent they offer (there are a gazillion!) and mark which ones you love best, like a little, or are a no-go for your nose.Even if you jot down fifty different options, the staff are really good at suggesting the ones that seem to go together best (I ended up with Honolulu Sun, Caribbean Teak, and Sparkling Grapefruit, at their suggestion, and they smell amazing and beachy together!)Once your scents are decided, you'll be given the actual bottles of those oils to mix and then add to the hot wax that you'll stir together for a few minutes to incorporate. Then you get to put them into the candle jars, and even give your new candle smell you created a fun name! The wax will have to cure for a while before it's a full blown hardened candle, so you may want to plan to bop out for some shopping or lunch and come back to pick up your candle later. I recommend this to anyone - a fun activity, with some education candle making information, and a neat little product you get to take home at the end of it all!"

"This review is for the waffle weave towels, both the Classic and the Modern. Our daughter introduced us to Gilden Tree when she worked on a project project in Omaha. I have searched for years to find the old-fashioned, highly absorbent, lint-free waffle weave towels that are perfect in the kitchen and powder room. Here they are. We have washed and used them but once and they are excellent. We ordered both the Modern and the Classic weave and like them both very much. The Modern is a bit thicker than expected, but highly absorbent, attractive and a perfect size. The Classic is thinner and works just as well for our needs. We will be ordering again. Congratulations to the Gilden Tree folks for a job well done!"

She used to have her store on S 48th but has since moved it into her home. She has a background as a nurse and has much experience with essential oils and natural treatments. Some of my favorite products: Lavender Soap (very moisturizing made with Shea Butter and smells strongly of Lavender), Organic Green Tea, Tea Tree & Lavender Every-Day Facial Cream and the Night Cream as well as the Facial Cleanser. Seriously, the amount of high quality organic ingredients in these products is amazing. The Every-Day Cream is probably my favorite and the Night Cream, wow, if you need a very thick and moisturizing cream, this ones for you. They smell so good, are so moisturizing and nourishing. She used to sell little gifty things like mugs, cards and candles. Essential oils like Pine, Lavender, Doug Fir etc are very good quality many are organic.
